    I filled out an application for a visa, paid all the upfront fees online and mailed my documents, including my passport, to the embassy on May 16th to arrive the next day. I never received a confirmation email stating documents were received. I started calling and sending emails to follow-up and never received a response. My trip to Ghana was scheduled for July 26th. I worked for several weeks with the post office and they could never verify my docs were delivered to the embassy and the embassy did not give me an answer, so I was caught in the middle between the two. I eventually had to purchase an expedited passport and obtain and emergency visa before I left for my trip and my old passport was reported lost/stolen.
    I tried in good faith to work with the embassy to get the fees returned that I had prepaid since they did not receive my documents and did not process the visa for my trip. Nobody seemed to understand my dilemma and were of no help, so I disputed it with my credit card company.
    On September 27th, two months after my trip and over 3 months after I applied for a visa, I received an email from the embassy stating they have received my documents and are processing my visa. They then mailed the items on October 5th. How can you issue a visa on a lost/stolen passport? How long did you have my documents and never processed them?
    This is a scam and seems like my paperwork was only processed because I disputed the charges. You all DO NOT operate in good faith and your customer service is basically nonexistent.
