      I am being charge almost $400 more Then what my actual bill is they stated that I set a payment arrangement. When This was doing Covid, and my bill was not even high to the point where I need to set a payment arrangement plus This was doing Covid Nobody was receiving a cut off notice and why would you cut me off for $70 make it make sense to me. This is a way to get over and to receive back that money that they've lost from every other client. My bill was $156. Now the bill the $600 make it make sense. I've tried to talk them

      Horrible service. I am a joint account holder with my 96 year old mom. She is in the hospital with a broken hip and asked me to set up auto pay so she wouldn't be hit with surcharges for her monthly bills when she is in Rehab. I held on for 30 minutes, trying to give bank account info to set this up. They told me I wasn't an "authorized user" even though my name is on the account. Cox Cable, Dominion Energy and Fairfax Water all made it easy! When will Washington Gas be taken over by an efficient Chinese company?

      The account portal for Washington Gas was unable to manage customers with more than one account. Since I moved within the same region, that applied to me for a few months. The problem was there was no way to access my new account to set up automatic payments, see the bill, or pay ad hoc. The customer service personnel were all saying different things and contradicting themselves. They fixed it after over 6 months but, because of the idiotic way that they do billing (they use the same billing tool as Dominion Energy and Dominion Energy is able to use it in a logical way so it's not the 3rd party platform's fault), I over paid by $750 and now they tell me they're going to keep that money for a year because I was late, even though I have been wasting hours upon hours of my time trying to get them to bill me properly and they couldn't do it. I am on hold with them right now and have been for over 30 minutes without any check in with the customer service "advocate."

      This is what happens when you have a government protected monopoly. These guys are frauds.

      Let me just start off and say That I am recovering from a "DEVIATED SEPTUM"(Nasal surgery) surgery from the 11th of October. I've been home recovering. Unfortunately I have been in/out of the hospital for sometime which is why I am trying to take care of my situation now.I had my 2nd  Post-op  appointment on Friday with my surgeon and learned I have an infection. He called in prescriptions for me which I was unable to pick up because I had to rush back home to make sure I didn't miss the technician  at my home.
      I have been waiting since FRIDAY NOV 3rd,2023 for a technician  to come out to my home address to shut on my gas. I have been told several different times  that a tech is on his way to my home address and that I can't leave my address. Noone showed up nor did I get a call back. I have taken off from work to make sure I was able to make sure the tech was able to do what was needed to turn back on my gas. 
      SATURDAY, NOV 4TH.2023  I called  customer service  several times and spoke to Anna/ann  (supervisor) a little after 9am who reassured me that she spoke to dispatch that a tech would be at my home today. called again at noon.  Called again around 1ish asked to speak to her again they reps were giving me a run round and told me someone  will call me back never did but call back again at 330 a rep told me a tech was on his way to my home at the moment she spoke to dispatch  and for sure they are on there way. 2 hours later I called back and of course now showed and spoke to another supervisor and  reassured  me that someone will come by 9pm But nobody came or showed ....Sunday  of all days!!  The one day I decided to go and get my prescriptions because of my infection. A technician showed up and I was told that no one works on Sundays  and he was unable to come back and he can't wait for me to return back home although I was 15 mins away.  He then stated he  will place me back on the schedule on Monday which would be 11/06 which would now bring us 4 d

      This company is terrible need to be more professional did not solve my problem on bill and budget plan this ridiculous do not trust this company fixed income people .

      The website is still broken. I mailed a check in and it took them 34 days to cash it - they do not respond and still charge late fees. This is not just a one time event. It happens a lot and this month a check was sent on July 27th and still not received. They have also shortened the due date to 3 weeks.

      I purchased a new home, went on Washington Gas website, and placed a request to start the gas service before my move in date and shut off at my old place. I even received a confirmation email stating it was setup and welcome. A month goes by and the gas is not in my name yet, can’t log in so I assume it would take a month or two to fully switch over… I ignore it and continue my move in and job. Now in month two, account still isn’t working and now no gas in the house. Washington Gas stopped gas. I Called them and they said that they canceled on the previous owner's cancellation date and my start date was ignored. In the call the customer service was zero help, hell even the supervisor was useless. They said couldn’t come until basically a week later and the window would be from 7am-5pm and that they couldn’t& wouldn’t give a shorter time frame or call ahead, and now they need access into the home with someone over 18. I’m still without service and now they said I’ll receive a connection fee on my next bill.
      I don’t complain often but this is the worst company I have experienced in my 17 years as an adult! This company needs to be investigated!

      I am 81 years old and have a condition called Essential Tremors. In Feb.2022 I realized that I could no longer write checks so I paid my bill on line. Every month since 2016 I have contributed $100 to the WAFF; however since paying on line I have been charged $100, $200 and even $300 a month. Over 17 months, I have been charged $2,909.95 instead of $1700. Now they will turn off my gas if I don't pay them $1,309.95 which I don't owe. I have worked up to 2 hours with their staff and filed 2 complaints (which they never responded to). I need help. I can't believe I'll probably have to get a lawyer.
