      I live in the city of wilmingtom & my bill USUALLY ranges from $120-$230 for my 1675 sqft house. Now I understand the cold fronts & the weather changing.. but what does that have to do with me.. with us as citizens paying for electricity. My bill has gone up more than TRIPLE, I am about to be stuck paying a $600 electric bill… all for a “ delivery “ charge.

      This is disgustingly gross for a company to be able to stack random chargers.

      So i CALLED &
      the lady told me they didnt get a read from my meter & I HAD TO READ IT FOR THEM.

      HOW AM I BEING CHARGED FOR SOMETHING THEY COULDNT READ!!!!

      My mother who is 85 years old and has not be able to say in house for a year. Her recently bill was $ 700 which I found pretty high for a house that no one is living in currently. I call Delmarva to see why is was so high. I spoke to Jorge in customer service and he was rude. He pretty much told me that there is nothing he could do and it was my problem. When I asked him it is possible that the house that is being built next door could cause and issue. He told me I was making up stores and that just needed to pay the bill. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he hung up on me. This is terrible customer service.

      This electric company is charging a $199.00 supply fee.
      My usage was 163.00 but I was charged $364.00 with the added supply fee.
      It's criminal that the supply fee is higher than the electric bill itself.
      This company is price gauging due to warmer temperatures. They have raised the supply rate solely for profit gain, because people are using less energy to heat their homes due to warmer weather.

      I have called customer service a few times too many within the last year to get my same exact card information updated to process my payment which is always on time. The representative explained to me I have to pay my bill first to get my card information updated. I told him, my bill is always on time and I did this before and for him to just update my information so I can pay my bill on my own through my phone or computer. I spoke with a supervisor and she basically did the samething. Stop telling your employees to collect money everytime someone calls that isn't what I wanted as a customer. My bill is always on time I do not need help processing my payment. I should not have to call customer service to update my card information this should be available to me online. The supervisor said she did not see any card information on file so how did I see it on my phone and computer as we were on the phone? And, through the automated service my SS number didnot match when I had this service for a very long time? But the supervisor said she can see my SS number. I am concerned about my private information. What are you doing with my personal information???

      And, another thing, you need a system that protects people against fraud. Such as peoples mother using their children to get service and people not on the lease or mortgage obtain services. Delmarva Power get your company together!

      "Negligent, Unresponsive, and Protected by Monopoly Status"

      Delmarva Gas/Electric has demonstrated a shocking level of incompetence and disregard for its customers. After disconnecting my gas service, they failed to reconnect it for two months, even though my account was fully reinstated and active. Despite repeated attempts to have them resolve the issue, they scheduled multiple full-day appointment slots, yet they never showed up, never called, and offered no explanation for their failure.

      When I contacted customer service, I was met with indifference and outright refusal to help. Their representatives showed no urgency or accountability for the fact that I was left without gas—a basic necessity—for an extended period. It’s clear that Delmarva does not care about its customers because they don’t have to. Their monopoly over gas and electric services means they face no real competition, so they are free to treat customers with complete disregard.

      The lack of alternatives leaves customers like me at their mercy, forced to endure their failures with no recourse. This company’s behavior would never be tolerated in a competitive market. Their monopoly status shields them from the consequences of their negligence, and they exploit this to the fullest.

      If you have any other option for utility services, use it. Unfortunately, for many of us, Delmarva’s monopoly leaves no alternatives, forcing us to put up with their incompetence and contempt for customers. It’s unacceptable that a company providing essential services can operate with such blatant disregard for the people who rely on them.

      I’m a single man that lives primarily alone except for my child during weekends, i am very conservative on power usage and on average my bill maybe 80$ to 120$ during the summer months a little higher, ofcourse with hvac going , recent months my bill has been 500 and up, it makes no sense what ever, I do not trust ac electric… being the recent strike this past year crying over one paid holiday, meanwhile the lineman are making 150 to 200k a year crying the blues, honestly a scam…. So much for the “smart “ meter right?

      Absolutely horrible company. I am signed up to receive text and email alerts for when I have a bill ready and when payments post. All was good until May when I just stopped receiving the alerts. I checked my account and it is showing I am still set up. My email and phone did not change. I called and the person I spoke to had no idea why it stopped working so he put in a trouble ticket. He told me that once it was fixed I would know as I would get alerts. He said if I didn't get an alert by the 12th of the next month to call back, No alert so I called back. This time I am told that it is an outage and it's not just me, no one is receiving alerts. They are aware of the issue and working on it. She had no idea how long before they would have it fixed. So I waited, 2 more months go by and still no alerts. So I call back. This time the guy tells me that there is nothing they can do and it's an outage that they have had for years. WHAT?? Clearly thats a lie because I was getting alerts 6 months ago and had been for years up to that point. He blows me off and says there is nothing they can do. I decided to check with a friend and guess what.. she is currently getting alerts! Clearly there is some issue with my account and they just refuse to fix it or even look into it. This is unacceptable. Unfortunately there is no other option for me to get electric!!! If there was I would NEVER do business with this company. If you have a choice I would recommend not using Delmarva.

      I think they are a bunch of theives. They don't give a damn about the cusromers.
