When booking our hotel resort reservation online, I believe we were redirected to Guest Reservations and were unaware that we were not booking directly through the hotel. Guest Reservations lured us in with low rates then charged an exorbitant amount of fees. (Room was $96 per night, charges were $243 confirmation email states that there are no refunds. Upon calling the hotel, they assured me that they have no problem canceling for zero fee, but the third party would have to refund our credit card. I called Guest Reservations multiple times before finding the magic words/prompt to be connected to a representative. I was put on hold for 40 minutes while they "verified" with the hotel before they ultimately disconnected. The second rep was very rude and said they could cancel- then get verification, but could not guarantee our refund. So. This company is scamming and taking advantage of customers.

I was redirected to Guest Reservations website when booking a hotel without realizing I wasn't booking on the hotel website. I noticed an error I had made (booked the wrong dates) right after booking and called them within 5 minutes to cancel or fix the dates. They said they couldn't fix the error and couldn't cancel the reservation. Instead, they offered me a 10% discount on the $1200 booking (of that, nearly $400 was a fee that GuestReservations had charged).

When I called the hotel, the hotel said my reservation was made through Priceline. GuestReservations isn't even making the bookings themselves, they're going through another company. GuestReservations is using predatory practices to scam customers.

When booking our hotel resort reservation online, I believe we were redirected to Guest Reservations and were unaware that we were not booking directly through the hotel. Guest Reservations lured us in with low rates then charged an exorbitant amount of fees. (Room was $195 per night, charges were $108 plus a hidden resort fee of $13.43 per night.) The hotel policy is no charge for cancellation with 24 hours notice, however, Guest Reservations' confirmation email states that there are no refunds. So. We potentially lose our reservation AND over $300? This company is scamming and taking advantage of customers.

Fraud! Booked two nights through what we thought was Hampton Inn's website only to discover this third party fly-by-night outfit trying to keep our money even though we canceled within 12 hours of booking. The reservation date is 8 weeks away to boot! Nonetheless, they did nothing for the money and we will prevail by disputing through the credit card company. It is not a valid contract as there is no consideration for the $$$ regardless of their 'no cancellation' policy.

    They are frauds!

Scam. You think you are booking on the hotel website but it’s an imposter. I didn’t even actually charge my card but they did. Discovered email the next day that stated I had booked Hampton Inn. Immediately (within 12 hours of when the supposed booking was made) attempted to cancel the charge after discovering the pending charge on my credit card online account. Received cancellation email. But still was charged $476.18 which included a bogus fee of $168. Called guestreservations.com. Basically they said they would get a supervisor to call me back because the charge was not refundable. Of course they never called me back. I then contacted the bank who my credit card is with. Disputing charge because I didn’t book nor have I received the service. Beware!

Guest Reservations created a look alike website page an exact replica of the Hilton in Michigan. I Thought I was booking with Hilton. After rendering my charge card I only found out about additional fees in a confirming email. Extra fees of $213 added to my bill. This company Guest Reservations is dishonest by creating look alike websites and making believe they are the company's representatives. This is fraud. Never utilize this company.

I thought I was booking directly to the Red Roof Inn. After I had paid with my credit card I went to my email and immediately called Guest Reservations like within two minutes to cancel due to outrageous fees almost equaling the amount of the room itself. The fees were never disclosed upon checkout otherwise I would have never proceeded. When I called they said I could cancel but they would still charge my credit card. This company is deceptive and greedy beyond belief. If they were honest they would disclose the fees at checkout and would not get any business period. You should be disgusted By your deception especially in these hard times. I hope your greed shuts your site down !

Crazy. Need oversight on this insane practice of adding more than a nights stay to the bill for "tax recovery and service fees". This is fraud, folks. You spend time finding the best rate and, only after you've input your credit card, do you get this little surprise. Hotels are getting away with murder. No transparency.

Please be aware that guestreservations.com is getaroom.com (confirmed by a customer service person I just spoke with). Please see all of the BB complaints at the entry for getaroom.com that mirror all of the complaints for guestreservations.com! Beware of both companies!

I googled the name of the hotel that I wanted to book a room for and this website popped up, I was under the impression that it was the direct website for the hotel. I proceeded to book my reservation and clicked on “complete reservation” the next thing I know it the website says it is charging us $249.83 in
“Tax recovery charges and service fee”. My jaw dropped, this is almost the amount for the room for three nights alone! To make matters worse, I scroll down to see “non-refundable”. I literally said “Are you f*ng kidding me?!”.
This website is unethical to have all of this information after the “complete reservation” button! We are horrified and have been on the phone with a customer representative for the last 45 minutes trying to get our refund.
