I googled the name of the hotel I wanted to browse to see how much it would cost for a night. Guest reservations came up at the top before the hotel website but due to the name, it appeared as I was merely directed to the reservations page of the hotel website. I did not see any of the fees populated after I had entered my credit card information but it is usually shown on the next page on other websites before a payment confirmation. It turns out that the costs were strategically placed below the “complete reservation button” and I had already secured the payment. I would not have agreed to the payment if it was more transparent as there was a $100 fee and there was a cancellation policy indicating that you could cancel but would not be reimbursed. I called the hotel and they confirmed that it was through a different 3rd party website but assured me there was free cancellation up to 24 hours in advanced. Because the name of the 3rd party was different than the hotel reported and was very ambiguously titled “guest reservations,” it took me some time to figure out the right number to call. However, they sent me a cancellation confirmation. When they did not reimburse me, I filed a dispute claim through my credit card company to which they declined stating that I was purposeful trying to evade their transparent cancellation fees and sent a screen shot of what it supposedly looked like upon check out with the No cancellation fee clearly stated. I called the company directly and they told me that if I had specifically asked prior to the reservation date I could have received a small discount. Their websites FAQ also guarantees a full reimbursement upon cancellation as well. I had reopened the dispute noting that the design of their website has been strategically set up to mislead potential consumers to impulsively make an irreversible costly spend. Ultimately the dispute went in my favor because of how unethical this company is known to be and the info I submitted.

Poor customer service and caught lying about discussing our cancellation waiver with the hotel. Had to jump through multiple hoops to get a cancellation (24 hour notice) due to a sudden illness. Led us to believe that there is a refund coming so we cancelled instead of bringing illness to the resort. No go

Unethical company…I booked a room…then maybe ONE MINUTE cancelled, as I was confused as I thought I was booking directly with Hilton. I called about a refund they said no- So then asked them to at least renew reservation…their reply nope we keep your money and you can't have the room…I said that is unethical then agent said my phone was cutting out- and put me on hold-I got cut off so I called again and the second agent I talked also said she couldn't hear me on my cell and hung up one me(I have NEVER had a problem with my connecting on my phone at home before) so I lost all money…terrible people

As every other reviewer seems to state, this is as close to fraud as you can get. The site (at least on a mobile device) looks and feels like you are booking directly with the hotel chain. Then suddenly the fee is a huge markup from the rate you think you are choosing. In my case, when I saw this, I canceled immediately but it was not able to be canceled!

This firm charges an exorbitant service fee, and does not allow any cancellations or changes. I spent an extra $100 for a room, and couldn't cancel or change it. A rip-off.

After reading the other reviews posted herein, I feel the same has happened to me and has happened to others. Leaving me to believe this is common practice for Guest Reservations to all their paternal customers. Desert runs in their advertising. I too googled for a certain hotel in its location and got Guest Reservations. BEWARE OF, THIRD-PARTY BOOKING. Advertising the room at 1 hundred and 20 dollars for the night. Thinking that was fair, knowing there would be a tax on that. Click to buy and received an email confirmation stating 124 dollars for the night plus 7.07 Tax and the 51.25 Tax Recovery and Service Fees were prepaid. Woo! 182 dollars and 32 cents. Called the company with the number provided, to talk to someone in the Phillipeens, telling me NO REFUNDS. So I ended up paying 182 dollars for 130 rooms that I could have bought at the desk. Then when they heard my complaint, offered me a 10% discount, off the 124, not off the 182. What a rip-off that was. I hope to never make that mistake again!
FOLKS, GUEST RESERVATIONS; CHECK THEM OUT, BAD NEWS!

This company charged me over double the amount that I was quoted by a hotel and charged my credit card for $303.51 instead of the quote from the hotel of $185.00 for one night’s stay. This company debted my bank account immediately. After realizing the extra charges, I called my bank to file a scam report and asked for my reservation be canceled.
I had also called the reservations company. They said that they couldn’t cancel my reservation. but could offer me a deal of 10 per cent off the existing reservation. I will not pay!! So I called my bank to have them remove this $303.51 charge to my account. In order to do this they canceled my card and this matter is now in dispute with my bank.
I would like to tell other honest, unsuspecting customers to NEVER go on this site: guestreservations.com
Thank you for helping me out with this matter.

Guestreservations.com is a fraudulent website. They pose as a hotel site and do not tell you the extra fees associated with booking on their site. They don’t disclose the fees until you agree to charge your card then you can’t cancel. You can get by way cheaper making sure you are on the hotels website. DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE. They are scammers.

GuestReservations.Com is running a fraud. The website is deceptive and designed to look like legitimate hotel booking site. Then at the end, once you have agreed to pay, they tack on a fee of over $100 and refuse to cancel or refund the reservation.

What a fucking scam. Looks like hotel's website, room advertised as $137. After booking I notice an $80 "tax recovery charges and service fee" making the total $217. It would be nice to be in the shower and headed out to eat right now but instead I've spent the last 20 min since checking in to my hotel on the phone with this company trying to find out what the hell this shit is all about and now on the phone with my hotel front desk figuring out how they can cancel this as the customer service rep at this criminal company couldn't do anything, of course. Pisses me off. If anyone wants to file a class action let me know!
