1 starI have been a customer for nine years.I put in a ********************** request for a vent hood repair. The lights stopped working on the hood. They sent out a repairman who never returned. Its been 6 months . Ive called constantly to ask for completion in the form of repair or compensation. They tell me over and over they are sending someone out. It doesnt happen. There is no customer **********************. Only customer retention. They convince you to wait. I signed up for the service and been patient because I live in a rural area. Im just taken advantage of. Im paying $75 monthly plus $100 for parts and service in advance but received no help. I do my part but its breach of contract on their part. This company should not be allowed to operate in my area. They refuse to allow me to speak to anyone who has the power to help me with compensation for my issue. They dont care. They just take your money. Its difficult to impossible to reach a real person. Its all automated. I want my $100 returned. There ought to be a class action suit against this non company. This is the worst experience Ive ever encountered with any so called service company in my lifetime. Dont fall for this ****.Review fromMichael P.

This company misled me when I purchased a contract from them. The took my subscription payment and one other payment from.a company called, MEPCO and then canceled my contract for lack.of payment! No refunds were made and NO services rendered. AVOID these people at all COSTS! They don't appear to be the kind of people that can be trusted. Good business has sensitivity and conviction, these people don't seem to understand what that means. The rating of "ONE star" was only used because the BBB doesn't have a "ZERO" star rating... ;(Review fromMel G

1 starContacted Cinch 1/13/2025 about our pool pump being broken. The **** first response was to lie to me and tell me that pool and spa wasn't covered in my coverage. I immediately called her out for her dishonesty and pointed out that I pay $240 extra on my policy for pool coverage. She quickly backpedaled after she realized that I wouldn't fall for the "instant denial" scam. She then informed me that she would try and find a service provider in our area and disconnected the call. The following day, we were told that Cinch couldn't locate any pool ***air providers and that we'd have to find our own. This was a headache because none of the providers want to deal with the ridiculousness of the paperwork that Cinch requires. We finally found someone willing to fill out the paperwork and do the extra visits necessary. We submitted all the paperwork on February 17th. I called Cinch to confirm that they had received the paperwork. They said that they did and that they would respond within a few days. Well, TWO WEEKS later, we received an email stating that the documents were not filled out to Cinch's satisfaction and that we'd have to re-submit. We then had to go back to the pool ***air company and request them to re-issue their documents (Can anyone guess why Cinch can't find providers who want to work with them?). We resubmitted the documents on March 5th. It's now March 7th. I called and spoke to another *** *** who stated that the documents had only just been downloaded with the Supporting Documents team and no one from the Authorization team will even look at them before next week. I stated that I didn't want another 2 week wait like last time, and he basically told me that there's nothing he can do to speed up the process. I'm stuck waiting for another ridiculously long time for nothing. I can't believe how slow and useless this process is.Review fromRuthie T

Cinch is not a reliable source for a warranty plan. This company sent out a plumbing company that misdiagnosed the issues. Another plumber was reported and requested to conduct a water detection test, which we had to pay out of pocket for $550.00. We paid only to find the issues was the water heater which is covered under the Cinch plan. Guess who refused to reimburse the 550.00... Cinch refused to reimburse the fee we paid based on the misdiagnosis from a plumber they sent out. We were initially told they would pay and in the end Cinch refused. I couldn't believe how they could act like they didn't see the logic. Cant wait until my contact ends, I'm out of here.Review fromDon H

1 starCalled Cinch on 11 Feb 2025 first thing in the morning after my furnace quit working in the middle of the night. They sent a tech out late that evening who just snipped a few wires and said, here's the problem without further investigation. They had to locate the part but would take over a week to come in...mind you it was 19 degrees in MD. My age was mentioned then they offered to assist me with lodging if I didn't have a warm place to stay; however, I would/could not leave my home and maintain the source of heat I am using if unattended. I asked them if they would pay for my repairs when my pipes froze?!? Part finally arrived but turned out it was not the problem. Requested another tech to come out for a second opinion and he discovered another problem. Part was ordered and requested to expedite it since it was still very cold, not to mention it was the right thing to do. Part arrived but hey, it wasn't the part that was ordered! So, here I am, 91, STILL with no heat...3 weeks later!!! The case manager, should be staying on top of this, but not the case...after all, isn't that his job? My kids had to chime in and make phone calls, which were not pleasant. After the case manage spoke with them a couple of times each, it was then said that he could no longer speak with them unless I give my consent. What a crock...HELLO...you have already been communicating with them, but now it's against company policy? Need to report that nonsense since he violated HIS company's policy...should lose his job!! NO ONE CARES!!! Fast forward to 5 Mar 2025...STILL NO HEAT!!! This company is a joke with zero sense of urgency. The case manager should be ashamed of himself to just sit back where it is warm and cozy in FL. I can assure you, I will be canceling my policy soon after my furnace it fixed and working properly!!! If you are thinking about signing up with this company, think again and move on!!! I didn't even want to give it ONE STAR, but wouldn't allow it!!!Review fromPaying C

1 starWeve had this insurance for a few yrs . Last two times contacting the company, we were told that wed have to find a company to assist us and file paperwork for POSSIBLE reimbursement . While, we pay this company every month on time. We expect for INSURANCE to be available when needed. Not to be a paying customer and still be REQUIRED (as they say) to find our own repair team , pay them , submit paperwork just to POSSIBLY BE reimbursed. I would not recommend! The representatives are hard to understand and doesnt comprehend well. Seems to all be off shore . Not helpful and just read scripts! Customer ********************** is horrible! I asked for a manager who provided me with ID # ******** & stated that she couldnt help or provide corporate contact or anyone further to assist.Review fromHeather J

1 starCalled Cinch on 2/10/2025 for my frigidaire gas range. They assigned a technician to come out 2 days later but they had cancelled due to not being in the service area. They rescheduled with another who showed up (day 4) but with only a voltmeter and almost broke the door off my range pulling it out. He then said to me that he would have to let the warranty company know that he "thinks" it is a board. Come to find out that he never contacted them BUT somehow Cinch knew that tech was not certified to work on this model. After another phone call to them (they never call you) they asked us to find our own repairman. We couldn't, no one is coming out for free to run diagnostics under a warranty they don't support. Then they made new arrangements to send another tech out and we found this person and his company pled guilty to warranty fraud and currently has civil suites and other cases against him. We called and stated that in no way we were going to allow this person in our home. They arranged for a new tech but ended up scheduling the 1st tech who is not certified to work on the range. They are now telling us to hire our own tech where we will have to pay out of pocket for that after we already paid the ****** fee to start this process, have them diagnose it and or repair it and they will reimburse us after it is approved. However they can't give us a time as to when it will be approved. This company is a joke, STAY AWAY!! We are going to try and get our money back and just go buy a new stove so we can cook. So sorry for those who have real outages like a water heater or a furnace I couldn't imagine being in your shoes.Review fromCurtis C

1 starWorst Home Warranty Company in *****************. Lies, manipulation of facts to dump clients for their own gain. Personnel are rude and abusive. They will work VERY hard in finding ways NOT to PAYOUT. They do NOT work for clients best interest at any point. They will transfer you to SEVERAL case managers who are well trained on telling you the claim is denied. Stay away from Cinch Home Warranty and go to American Home Shield or ANY other home warrant company.Review fromTiffany D

1 starWe pay monthly and had to use the service for the first time. We have a washer that needs repair. Weve paid $120 for service.. they sent out a technician and he ordered the necessary parts. We then received a phone call confirming parts have been delivered and that a technician would be out that same day. After a no show.. we called back and was informed that it would be 2 weeks before a technician would be out.. communication grade F.. honesty grade FReview fromHeather M

1 starI called cinch on 2/11/2025 because my oil furnace would shout off then I would have to push the reset button and black soot smoke is coming out of the furnace. We recently purchased this home in September 2024 and this is the warranty that came with the home. I paid ****** for the deductible and they told me that someone would be out today. Well I reached out because the time frame was approaching and no one has showed up. They told me that they would call me when they find an oil furnace provider to service this unit. I asked to speak with a supervisor and no one is available.I would give zero stars if I could.
