Bluegreen Vacations will take advantage of you! ** NOT sign any contracts with them! They used lies and deceitful sales tactics to coerce me into signing a contract with them. I attended a presentation in ********, ** with 3 friends that I brought along for the mini vacation they offered us. The presentation started with a salesman lying to everyone! He said we would not be buying a specific week in a specific location. He said that was the old timeshares. He claimed that as a member of their Vacation Club, you purchase points and then spend them like cash to book your accommodations. Actually, I found out later that I did buy a specific week at a specific resort. Because everything is a lie! They also don't tell you that the program also has "tiers" or "levels". Each level costs more and the more you pay the farther out you can book your accommodations. If you purchase the smallest amount of points for $16,000!!! you get the last pick of the resorts and hotels. What is left are the lower quality rooms and the months with the worst weather conditions. They spoke about a "buy back" program as if it would be an easy way out if you changed your mind. It doesn't really exist!I could go on and on about how terrible the program is and how I was led to believe that this club would allow me grandiose accommodations for my future vacations, just to find out it is not at all possible.I am now burdened with this financial obligation that holds no value for me!!Again, please DO NOT sign anything!!! RUN!!Bluegreen Vacations Unlimited, Inc.

1 starOur experience with Bluegreen has been nothing but regret and stress since we purchased a timeshare in November 2019. During the presentation, we felt pressured into a decision we werent ready to make. We were sold on the dream of frequent travel but werent given clear guidance on how to use the timeshare or the full financial implications, especially the rising annual maintenance ******* the time, we were unmarried, had few financial responsibilities, and hoped to travel often. Life has since changedwe got married, bought a small farm, and now have two young children. Our busy schedules and finances make using the timeshare impossible, and figuring out how to use it is far too complicated. Four years later, weve never used it once, yet were continually burdened by escalating maintenance fees that have become unmanageable. The lack of transparency from Bluegreens representatives worsened our situation. Key names include ****** ******* (Sales Representative), ****** ****** (Inventory Specialist), and **** ********* ****************** Specialist) from the initial purchase, and ******* ******** and ****** **** from a later upgrade through the Utah office. Their misleading sales tactics left us stuck with something we didnt need. This timeshare has caused significant financial strain and immense stress on our family. We deeply regret this purchase and strongly advise others to avoid Bluegreen entirely. If we could go back, wed walk away without hesitation. We want out!Review fromChris Y

They claim they are not high pressure sales, but they are. If you ask for time to think about it, they get belligerent, and demanding. You have to sign up on the spot, or they won't let you come back. It's a real estate agreement, and they won't let you review it prior to signing it, much less have an attorney review it. IT'S A TOTAL ****!!! STAY AWAY!Bluegreen Vacations Unlimited, Inc.

Subject: Request for Assistance in Canceling Timeshare Dear Better Business Bureau,Im reaching out to ask for your help with an issue weve been having with Bluegreen Weve run into several problems with the timeshare that have made it impossible to stick with the agreement, and even though weve contacted the company multiple times, they havent offered a solution. When purchasing the timeshare, we were misled by Bluegreens representatives about the benefits and value we would receive. Specifically, we were promised at least one week per year at our home resort, but we have been consistently unable to book it. Additionally, the prices for the service are excessively high, and maintenance fees keep increasing. For a product we cannot even utilize, this is deeply frustrating and financially burdensome. The promises made during the sales process remain unfulfilled, and we feel that we were taken advantage of.We have already made numerous attempts to resolve this directly with Bluegreen, including sending multiple letters requesting cancellation. Unfortunately, the company has been unresponsive and unwilling to work with us to find a fair resolution. We are asking for your intervention to assist in canceling this timeshare contract and relieving us of this financial and emotional burden. We believe this has been an unfair and misleading transaction and feel that with your help, we may finally be able to reach a resolution. We hope you will assist us in resolving this matter quickly.Sincerely,******* and ****** *******Bluegreen Vacations Unlimited, Inc.

We have been in a continuous cycle of misinformation and financial pressure since purchasing points back in 2012. We have been lied to throughout the years. Sales staff from Bluegreen have repeatedly misrepresented the value of our points and misled us about selling them at a profit with Pinnacle. I have never experienced such low-class deceit in all my years. Sales experience with these people has been nothing more than aggressive, deceiving and emotionally manipulating. Bluegreen will not disclose to you the hidden fees and what they verbally say is never what is contained in the contract. Unfortunately, we are stuck now with a worthless product. Had we just saved for planned vacations, it would be a lot cheaper than the money we spent on something that we can never reserve or book when we would prefer. Do not waste your time and money on Bluegreen it simply isnt worth the headache.Bluegreen Vacations Unlimited, Inc.

My wife and I were coerced into a timeshare with Bluegreen/Hilton and it has been an absolutely awful experience. I’m a retired United States Marine Corps veteran and I have put 13 years into serving this country, only to be taken advantage of by a big-name corporation like Hilton. I received a call offering a free three-day vacation in Charleston, SC. Upon arrival they took our drivers' licenses, so we were unable to leave without their approval. It was supposed to be 90 minutes but tuned into a five-and-a-half-hour ordeal, getting systematically ambushed by four different salespeople. We had no intention of purchasing but we were subjected to intense psychological pressure, including emotional manipulation using our family. The sales representatives used our children as leverage, suggesting this would be a valuable asset to pass down to them. We reluctantly purchased and boy was that a mistake. Since the purchase, there’s been nothing but issues. They opened a credit card that we never authorized, they told us if we were unhappy we could use their "buyback program" which doesn’t even exist, and they have charged us fees upon fees. They told us we could redeem a coupon for 6 months worth of maintenance fees and when we went to use it, they said it had already been cashed!! This is just a never-ending nightmare and I hope this review stops other people from making the same mistakes we did.Bluegreen Vacations Unlimited, Inc.

Bluegreen Resorts is now owned by Hilton Grand Vacations, but I don’t think that will be enough to outrun their past. They failed to provide a Cooling-Off Period. Therefore, I was unaware of any rescission period, and subsequent research indicated that Bluegreen is required to by law in most states. Annual maintenance fees were not fully disclosed, nor was the potential for fee increases. The long-term fiscal impact on my family was also hidden. Additionally, they made misleading statements about investment value as the timeshare was falsely presented as an appreciating asset, despite its actual financial weight. It appears these sales tactics were designed to pressure me into a hasty decision, focusing on securing the sale rather than providing transparent and accurate information. The emphasis on the supposed investment benefits and inheritance potential seemed aimed at convincing me of the timeshare's long-term value, which was grossly misrepresented. I have not used any part of the timeshare, nor have I been shown any specific condominium or designated unit. The deceptive and high-pressure sales tactics, combined with the lack of transparency, have caused financial and emotional distress. Generally, Bluegreen should be avoided at all costs, or you will be paying for it forever.Bluegreen Vacations Unlimited, Inc.

I am leaving this review to express my frustration with Bluegreen Vacations. Our first introduction to the company was at our local Bass Pro Shop, where a salesperson shared glowing reviews and assured us, we would not be disappointed. Although we had taken advantage of Bluegreen promotions before, we hadn’t committed to ownership until September 2020. During previous promotional events, we visited three different properties on short trips and enjoyed them, despite the required three-hour timeshare presentations, which we attended but ultimately declined the offers each time. In 2020 we accepted another promotion through Bass Pro Shops and decided to go as a family to Williamsburg, Virginia and we had to attend another meeting. As we went in, we told ourselves, “We’ll sit through the 90-minute meeting, get our promised gift cards, and give a solid ‘No’ to the offers so we can get back to our kids and mother, who were patiently waiting.” The presentation dragged on for hours! We expressed our disinterest multiple times, mentioning that we needed to get back to our children. Each time we said “No,” they countered with new offers. Managers came over, offering what felt like “the sun, moon, and stars” with even more enticing deals. At that point, we were exhausted, hungry, and feeling very pressured to accept an offer. Long story short, they wore us down to the point we caved in. We’ve only been able to use our timeshare once. There is never availability. Our Maintenance fees increase every year. It quickly became clear that we were paying for something we can’t even use. We were misled about the maintenance fees and their potential for an increase. We realize this was one of the worst financial decisions of our lives. Bluegreen has been a nightmare, draining our finances without delivering on their promises. We are beyond disappointed and completely dissatisfied with Bluegreen. The misrepresentations and false promises were made at the expense of our family.Bluegreen Vacations Unlimited, Inc.

We have been engaged with Bluegreen for a long time, but it took us this long to really understand their game. While travelling we would find ourselves in a position where we had to attend the required presentation at the resort, which was supposed to last only ***** minutes, but ended up lasting closer to 6-7 hours. During these extended sessions, we were subjected to multiple offers and high-pressure tactics from various sales representatives, despite our repeated refusals. They claimed that the kids could take over our points in the future, which further pressured us into considering the purchase. We continued to decline because we are a ****** family and primarily vacation there. Despite this, they insisted that we could easily convert Bluegreen points to ****** points and stay at ****** resorts without issue. This claim, we later discovered, was a flat out lie! The lies we were sold were all designed to get our money. The most deceptive claim was that we were making a real estate investmentone that would be passed down to our children and eventually our grandchildren. What we were never told was that our children would inherit not only the property but also the mortgage and all future maintenance fees. Furthermore, we were never informed that our account would be divided into separate, individual accounts based on the upgrades we were manipulated into making. In sum, our entire experience with Bluegreen Vacations has been nothing short of deceptive and frustrating. From the misleading promises about the exclusivity of their resorts to the high-pressure sales tactics designed to manipulate us into multiple upgrades, we have been misled at every turn. The lies told to us about making a real estate investment for our children and the false assurances regarding point usage have caused significant financial strain. The sales practices we endured were intended to extract as much money from us as possible, without regard for the truth or our best interests.Bluegreen Vacations Unlimited, Inc.

1 starIf I could leave -stars I would. Our fault we got suckered into it. We have tried to use it and they never have availabilty so we lost our points and can't use the day pass to the pool (a location 45 minutes away) since before covid and maintenance costs for nothing keep going up. We have tried to get rid of it several times and that's a nightmare too. Warning DO NOT DO IT!! Deceptive and high pressure sales, no support, no customer service.
