When you call the number it is Norton Lifelock and you are given only an option to buy their products, this is false advertising and there is no prize offered when you call the number that they have given. They dont ask for your ID number or anything. They just want you to take Norton Security

I have confirmed the number on your attachment and it is our number.  I just called it and it went directly to our sweepstakes representative. We have no affiliation with Lifelock.  I believe the number was misdialed.

I received a call about a sweepstakes that I was selected for I could enter the sweepstakes free once I agreed I was put on hold and then another caller got on the phone and started asking me what type of magazines do I like. talking about the weather small talk to get ready to hit me with the bombshell about paying for some magazines and like I said I've been told them no thank you & hung up I was telling them what type of magazines that I like but as I'm telling them not knowing they are and putting my results in a computer and then at the end you're talking to me about the weather and everything and then bam you have to pay $49.95 or more for these magazines right away I'm like no that's okay I don't read magazines daily anyways and I hung up Weeks later couple of weeks ago I received a letter from *************************** stating they are a debt collector and they're trying to collect a debt for some magazines I didn't inquire about I didn't receive and I didn't I've tried to give them a call several times because they're constantly harassing me each time I call the numbers on the letter I never get anyone on the other line or they hangs up on me please help I need for this company to stop trying to collect money for debt that I did not consider and for my credit not to get any worse than it is and to stop harassing me about magazines I never did received or gave them permission to charge me I hung the phone up and they deliberately use my information to charge me for something I didn't agree on this account been closed because I lost my debit card but I did not authorize them to use it to charge me for magazines they just said they needed the information so if I win this sweepstakes they would know how to route me my money

      Dear ****************,
Thank you for your inquiry and feedback. The National Magazine Exchange has been sponsoring sweepstakes for over thirty years as a way to promote our consumer subscription service offerings.  The information mailed to our recipients merely welcomes them to telephone us to enter the sweepstakes.  The mailer contains the complete sweepstakes rules, including instructions on how to enter, the date of the drawing, the odds of winning, all eligibility restrictions, and the statements that there is no purchase or payment necessary to enter or to win, and that a purchase would not improve the chances of winning. After completion of the entry our callers are offered discounted magazine services as well as various products to accept, if elected.
Our records show that you contacted to enter our sweepstakes on 9/22/2022. After your entry was completed, you were offered a magazine package that you subsequently selected, and a payment plan was arranged and agreed to. Using the payment authorization, you provided we attempted to collect payment, after being unable to do so, we sent your balance to our collection agency.
As of now we have canceled the account and contacted the collection agency to stop all collections. National Magazine Exchange has been in business for over 35+ years and is one of the largest magazine companies in the country, offering value priced magazines and money saving memberships to customers.

      Dear **********,

We appreciate you taking the time to escalate your concern so we may investigate and take the appropriate measure to provide a resolution. After carefully reviewing the account we have identified the following. On August 21, 2019 we received a call to enter into our Stike It Rich sweepstakes. After the entry was completed there was then a magazine package offered, and subsequently chosen. As of now we have cancelled all remaining magazines and have issued a refund of $199.40 back to the original payment method used. Please allow 3-5 business days for these funds to be received by your financial institution. You may also still receive a few issues of the magazines as the publishers pre-label them for shipping. I received a late notice from this company for magazines I DID NOT order. They even went so far as to threaten a late charge. I paid the amount asked$69.68 thinking my wife had ordered the magazines. She DID NOT! She did notice magazines coming in lately, all silly for us such *********, Cond Nast, and GQ. Neither of us even read magazines and she threw them out. I have no idea how this company decided either of us ordered these magazines but we did not. I want my money refunded!

I received two Vanity Fair magazines in the mail that I did not sign up for. I called Vanity Fair to cancel, and they said this subscription was managed by this company. I never signed up for this and do not authorize any more magazines or ********. I know this is a scam. Do not send me a bill or threaten to send me to collections. 10/3/22 received two magazines from vanity fair in my mailbox that I never ordered and I have no idea how they got my address, name, etc. I called vanity fair customer service and they mentioned a 3rd party sent them and told me it was national publishers exchange along with their customer service number. Doing my own research before calling them and giving them my number I found out that this is presumably a scam as it has been mentioned by many others that npe will send magazines or books and then request payment from whoever they sent them to or they send them to collections which effects peoples lives a great deal. I will not be paying for these, I never agreed to have these sent to me, I will be accepting these as a gift from your business tho!

I have POA for both of my elderly parents who live in Assisted ****************** facility here in **. They both have extensive Dementia with little income and I am fully supporting. A month or so ago, magazines began arriving at their home address. I am sure they are subscription magazines as they include Mens Health, Vogue, Boating, etc. Somehow, someone, has subscribed them for these magazines and now not only are they coming to their address each month, but they are also being solicited constantly by this company for additional subscriptions prompted by the allure of $10k monthly prize money. My parents do not have access to anything other than their mail and a home phone and are barely communicative on the phone even with me. They did not sign up for these subscriptions and at a very minimum, have been solicited and targeted due to their age and demented health conditions. They have been not only diagnosed with advanced dementia but also as vulnerable adults and someone, or this company, has taken advantage of that through predatory solicitations. I believe the subscriptions are coming to my father: ******************************* at the address of **************************************************************. I want these subscriptions cancelled immediately. I want any payment to be refunded. I want them to be added to the Do Not Contact list for this company. Please let me know what additional information I can provide for resolutions. Thank you for the assistance.

      Dear **********************,

Thank you for taking the time to escalate your concern so that we may investigate. After carefully reviewing the contacts associated with the account, we have concluded the following. On November 28, 2021 we received a call responding to our sweepstakes mailer. After the entry into the sweepstakes there was a magazine package offered and selected, and the billing details were confirmed and agreed to. Upon completion of the offer the call was concluded and disconnected. On May 23, ******************************************************** which entry to the ********************** was completed and subsequently another magazine package was ordered. After the magazines were selected the billing details were discussed and agreed upon, and the call was concluded. On September 24, 2022 another call was placed to our organization in which there was another sweepstakes entry processed, and another magazine package was selected and agreed upon, just as the prior two calls.

As of now we have cancelled all orders and processed a refund of $546.29 to be sent back to the original method of payment. Please allow 3-5 business days for the refund to be received by your financial institution. We have also placed this customer into our Do Not Contact database to prevent any future communications from being sent. On September 15, 2022, a magazine called "Texas Monthly" was delivered to our home. The magazine was addressed to "C Bradfort" which is not my name. I contacted Texas Monthly to ask that this magazine not be sent as we have not ordered it and we suspect it is a scam because of the name used on the magazine label. They asked for the information that appears on the label, which I promptly provided. Several days later they replied that we would have to contact the National Publishers Exchange because they are the ones who actually processed that order. I sent an email to the address provided asking that this "subscription" be immediately stopped and stated that I believe this is a scam. I am reporting it here because I believe this is a scam based on the spelling of the name and there are numerous complaints of this same issue online about this company. The subscription says that it extends through September ****. We have NOT ordered this magazine and we are filing this complaint because we want this company to respond immediately and REMOVE the subscription and REMOVE the false name and our address from their data.

Customer reviews posted on/after July 5, 2024, will be published indefinitely unless otherwise voluntarily retracted by the user who submitted the content, or BBB no longer believes the review is authentic. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this company, please let them know that you checked their record with BBB.

As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business. Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
