1 starPreferred home Care I was just discharged from the hospital February 2nd 2024 they brought me my home concentrator 15 minutes after I got home which was a surprise I never got a call to tell me they were on their way well two weeks into that I had to call them for oxygen tanks or a portable oxygen because I had doctor's ************ which I receive after 1 week I had to cancel my ************ I have a prescription from my doctor it says a portable oxygen concentrator well I finally got me a portable oxygen concentrator which only lasted me a few days because the flow wasn't working right so I took it back in to get fixed the lady at the front desk assured me that I would be getting it back it's been 3 months now I haven't seen it I know I'm not going to be getting it back because I've been getting the runaround I'm using steel tanks which are very heavy for my lungs and I ask every time because I have to go pick up my tanks I can call to schedule a delivery which they don't bring it out to me because it's always either the following week or 3 days after I need it so I go pick it up which is out of my way mind you I do ask every time I go. If my portable concentrator got fixed yet and am I going to be getting it no answer I will be looking in to getting another medical Supply store I'm not satisfied with this company and I've been hearing a lot about it there's a lot of people that are not happy with preferred you figured a company this big they would want to keep their customers happy I complain to my insurance they're not happy with this company I wouldn't be surprised if they lost the contract. All I want is my portable concentrator back so I won't have to do so much wear and tear on my lungs which only work 50%Review fromPatricia S

1 starWhat a horrible company! Took a week to get a wheelchair from them in August of 2023. I had to borrow one to come home, from the rehab I was in after my accident. Once they said they had one and insurance was approved, was so hard to get it delivered that my sister had to drive me over there and get it themselves. When I asked them to pick it up, they scheduled day to do so, then never came. I had to call again and they finally came a week later & reassured me I would not be billed for it. I got a bill from them indicating that they billed my insurance and I had a balance. I paid it, because it was under $35, but found out that they never billed my insurance b/c there was no ***. I called today to sort this out and have them bill my insurance so I could get my $$ back from them b/c it would have been covered 100%. The woman was incredibly rude and said my insurance rejected it for the taking too long to submit the claim - not true either b//c there would be an *** w/ the denial, and one does not exist. This woman refused to give me a claim#, or a copy of the *** from my insurance & tried to tell me that I wouldn't see this *** b/c my insurance would have archived it b/c of it was over 6 months ago. I explained to her that I was looking at claims on their site all the way back to March of ************************************************ I called back multiple times and she repeatedly put the call on hold and then picked up phone, and hung it up. 1 starLincare in Pensacola, is the worst company I have had to deal with for my durable goods. I got a standard wheelchair, in July of 2023, that was supposedly to come with cushions. It is now April of 2024 and still no cushions. I have called and called and always an excuse. On one of the last calls, I was told that I would have to get a new prescription because the old one had expired after 90 days. Another excuse as to why it was not filled. I was told that I would be called on Friday the 19th when they got their deliveries and still no call. Monday, no call. Tuesday the 23rd, corporate is getting a call. I am on a Medicare Advantage plan and had to change plans do to the rising cost of the one I was on in 2023 so I’m having to go through a new plan and a new doctor and shouldn’t have to. I am fed up and so wish they were accredited with the BBB because they would being getting a call today.Review fromwendy b

1 starThis company can cost you your life! Bad Bad choice! AVOID Negitive stars Lincare Lincare bills your insurance company NOT help you stay alive. I have very severe Apnea. Company calls me to get order says everything available via insurance. OK send me one tube only because Im out of state and last one they sent doesn't fit my machine. Rep says I cant send a new one until I UPS back old one. they just called to reorder, What? Got past retuning, Told Rep untrained. The next call they will overnight. IT Doesn't come, the next call, no notes on anything and they don't ever overnight, The next Call we'll 2 day, ok here's my address AGAIN, I'm out of state. I'm now past managers to escalation. Joseph says he'll 2 day but then says have to wait for insurance to approve, so its not 2 days is it Joseph, ever! so everyone lying to me..I explain its my life at stake. I asked him why last 3 levels of reps and now he is lying to me? Promises he'll handle it. Several days go by, I call to find out where it is and just right off ask for escalations or Joseph nobody available, its now Friday. No delivery to me its over a week .Then I was told it was in route and sent to home address where I won't be for another month. Next Rep, It a new process,before another can be sent, maybe another week? They lie, they bill your insurance company, This company harasses me daily, day, night weekends text, phone, multiple "unknown" sources to reorder. A few months back when I was changing insurance company's and changing machines? I called and said "don't I need new supplies every month?" They said No I didn't, why? and how is that? because LINCARE is in business to bill insurance companys only NOT to help you stay alive! How many people die because of this company, this cant be just me because its 100% failure from 100% of every call to them. If anything happens to me and I die in my sleep its because Lincare does NOT CARe and is to blame. BBB shut these ********* down!!!!Review fromCarole D

1 starHow a major Insurer like United Health would use PREFERRED HOMECARE as a medical equipment provider doesn't say much for United ! My Doctor will not renew my Rx's until I go in for a visit. Problem is I require oxygen 24/7 and my portable concentrator is broken so I can not leave the house. My Doc called Preferred to repace my unit. That was two weeks ago but they say they do not have a replacement. They (********) told me to "get in line", there are 50 people waiting ahead of me. They said they can ***** me "tanks", the old fashioned cylinders but they need to be replaced weekly. I use a ******, and because of a med issue Im not allowed to lift more than 10lbs. And at my flow rate, the tank would only allow me about 1.5 hours. Can not go much in that time. I have filed a grievance with United and will also write their Corporate. 1 star10 weeks and several repeated prescriptions written from pcp. No supplies delivered in over two months. I have 2 open holes in my leg, wound cared measured 10 inches long one being a size of a lemon. I've been suffering in pain and spent over $600+ in medical supplies and hospitalized twice with MRSA. Several calls a week between pcp office and PHC to get supplies and I still have nothing.Review fromNoah S

1 starI argued with Lincare for two years trying to keep a CPAP they issued. They insisted that I failed to use my CPAP at least 80% of the first 3 months of use. They didnt care thatduring that 3-month periodI had a lengthy bout with ***** that prevented me from wearing the device nor that I was at my dying friends bedside at an out-of-town hospital at odd hours for over one week and couldnt use the device. I spent many hours between calls with their local office (******), compliance office (Florida), and billing office (who knows where). Lincare sent me for 2 additional sleep studies, each concluding with my referring cardiologist verifying my compliance. Yet Lincare lost paperwork, claimed that I was not timely, gave the run-around by phone, avoided calls (likely saw me on caller ID, though I cant confirm), and still maintained my lack of compliance. After filing multiple grievances through my insurance, I was referred elsewhere, and I couldnt be happier with the customer service, coaching, and care Im receiving with this different DME company. 5 starsi have had great service from lincare in *********** ** i hope that they continue to be my provider i trust them and they always are here to accomodate my needs every time ************************* came out last week and replaced my concentrator and a couple of years ago ***** saved my moms life by going out of his way to help my mother retrieve her concentrator and some tanks so that she could still be alive i have no bad words against this company im forever thankful and grateful for themReview fromBeatrice J

1 starI have been on a CPAP for a year and 1/2. The only supplies I have received is the filters and water holder. I keep receiving messages and calls that my supplies are ready to be shipped out, yet I never receive them. I have followed up several times for new masks and hose but still no luck. 1 starDO NOT trust this company. My mom was diagnosed with COPD in March of 2023. She was intubated and ventilated for 1.5 weeks due to RSV and was put on oxygen long term. When discharged from the hospital the doctor had recommended my mom use a Cpap machine at night. My mom did NOT WANT the machine and explained to the physician that ordered it she was claustrophobic. She explained she would try it overnight for one night and if she didn't like it she wanted it sent back immediately. She lasted with the machine on her face for 1 hour and had my dad call to have it picked up. The salesman or whoever brought it to the house NEVER came to get it...and left it there for 3 months. While it was sitting there, my dad told them continuously to come get it that she didn't want it and they charged him 200$$ for every month that it sat there at my house waiting to be picked up. They said they would refund him the 200$$ that was charged and never did...until weeks after the machine was picked up. Today... after this situation already happened and finalized...my dad was charged again $200 and contacted lincare who said he shouldn't have gotten a refund as it was a new billing cycle and he was charged for it. I spoke to 2 salesmen and told them MY mom did NOT WANT the machine to come get it and it sat there for 3 months.
