      This place is the WORST car rental company! They over charged me $722 & overdrawn my credit card limit so that has been messing up my credit because it's been a MONTH & they STILL haven't refunded me ****!!! They will try charging u for the fuel fee after u TELL THEM u will return the car back on the same amount of gas u got it on! Plus they tried charging me a cleaning fee when "I" CLEANED the car MYSELF throughout the WHOLE time I had it AND BEFORE I RETURNED IT!!! Not to mind you I spent over $2,000 on the RENTAL FROM DOLLAR and they are REFUSING to give me my rewards! They are penny pinchers that try to scam you and get more money out of people & think they wouldn't notice so PLEASE CHECK UR RECEIPTS OR THEY WILL GET OVER ON YOU!!!! It doesn't matter if there rates are cheaper THEY STILL ROB AND SCAM YOU!!!! DONT EVER USE THIS RENTAL COMPANY!!!!

      I would give them a zero if it was possible, they took a deposit of $401.27 two months before arriving at the airport arrived at the airport in *********. They said there was no deposit on file, made me pay for the car and full. Spoke with them several times, and all they do is continue to hang up on me. Criminals, scammers do not rent from them.Next step see you in court Dollar

      This rental car company is one of the worst companies to deal with in every way possible. I completed a rental agreement through AAA and purchased their rental insurance policy. When I arrived I had to wait over an hour just to get up to the counter to sign in for the rental car. The agent was non-apologetic regarding the fact that I said I waited in line for over an hour. She told me Well thats not as bad as last night's line. The agent said that they do not accept 3rd party insurance. I asked the agent what the difference is in insurance and she could not explain to me what the Dollar insurance covered to the point she handed me a handwritten note with two sentences explaining the insurance - that it is peace of mind. The agent began getting rude when I started asking questions and instead of being able to answer my questions she just repeated ten times that its my decision if I want piece of mind which did not answer what the Dollar insurance covered. I call customer service and asked for a manager and the agent got back on the line and said no manager was available that I would need to call back. I told the agent I would continue to hold until a manager was available and the agent told me that she could not keep me on hold and that she was not allowed to do that. The manager answered the phone saying, "this is a manager I am ready to listen to your complaint go ahead. I explained the situation and was told that she could only put a report in and that I would need to call back to find out the status after 48 hours. I asked why I would need to call back, shouldnt Dollar call me back regarding the status of the report I am filing? The manager said that Dollar does not do outbound calls. I am appalled at the extremely terrible customer service I have received from ********************. I can assure Dollar I will never use their company or any affiliates ever again and will make sure none of my friends/family use Dollar. They need some serious training on customer service

      This company misrepresented the car category at rental time. Upcharged me for a gas powered car and then the car broke down the morning of day 2. Refused to credit me the amount I did not use the car and made no concession to get me another car. Car had to be towed *******************. Billed me for full time.

      Our last vacation ruined by Dollar Car Rentals and ********. I did my booking months ago with ******** and they promised me and send me the voucher from Dollar Rentals to pick up my vehicle on 12/25/2023. I was there to pick up my car at ****pm and the center agent said there are no vehicles were available. It's looks like the agent rented all their vehicles with higher amount and didn't care about our reservation. Called Dolar customer service and ******** customer service and they passed the ball each other than helping me. The customer service is so bad and in both and never solved my issue. We had long trip planned years ago and Dollar rentals really ruined everything so badly. One star is two stars to many. NEVER book with dollar and we should boycott companies like this and should banned in US Territory. Very bad business and please stay away from ************ and dollar rental car.com.

      i rented a car in las vegas las month (december 2023). I was not impressed. The staff was a little ******. The car had either fuel injector issues or a trans issue. Either way, i wound up not really driving it and instead drove a family members car most of the trip. They sent me a survey and i asked to be contacted. No one ever contacted me. When i dropped off the car by the airport and told the receiving attendant the issues. He didn't seem to car and just shrugged his shoulders. I would not recommend.

      My first time renting with Dollar was a total nightmare!!!!I rented on Gov travel for two days only and it was a disaster!! From waiting in the pickup line at the airport for nearly 2 hours because there was only one associate working to returning the car hours earlier than expected. The company over charged me by $200 stating that the car was returned a week later!! After providing proof( a picture of the odometer when I returned with a full tank and proof of receipt ) I still received multiple bills for the overage. I went back and forth for months with the company via email because it was so hard reaching a live person. Eventually they stopped returning my emails and forwarded my account to collections!!! It was a battle and unfortunately still is!!!

      I reserved a manager special at CVG. The print said compact or similar-includes electric cars. When my husband went to counter the agent said it would be an electric car and if he didn’t want that, he could up charge for $25. What a racket! Instead of a $45 rental, it became an $80 rental. Nothing was mentioned to him that he could cancel his reservation and get a compact car much cheaper than their “manger special “. The agent definitely took advantage of a situation and the advertisement is a ploy to get customers. I personally spoke to the manager, Bridget, and she wouldn’t budge with the $25 ridiculous up charge. I filled out a survey and requested a call within 72 hours. The time is up and still no call back. Horrible company for customer satisfaction.

      Automatically charged a $19.98 "Convenience fee" on top of the $3.52 toll road charge. It's all a pass through process and there should not be any convenience fee charged. Just what the banks were doing with their excessive fees just to juice their profits at the expense of the consumer. Many of these toll roads are going to no cash options so if you make a mistake and end up on one of these you're screwed.

      One star is two stars to many. NEVER book with dollar. We waited 4 hours to be told there was no car for us. It wasnt until we paid the final payment and bond that we were told there was no 12 seater for us. After a 12 hour flight we waited in a line outside in the sun for over an hour before getting just to the door. No communication, no water, no polite staff, no seats in side, every space was full, no seats outside. Families, children, young babies, all forced to wait for hours. Hundreds or people everywhere, no one could do anything, If anyone was to cancel all money was lost. We had booked 4 months earlier, plenty of notice. We refused to give up, we had no option, even though there was a van there, (exact van we booked) we were not allowed it as it was reserved for someone else, not us, who booked 4 months earlier, we couldnt have that one. We waited, many or us out side, and now in the dark and getting cold. Still no room inside and line still to the door. After 5 and a half hours we got a van. Rude staff, no explanation, no apology, no one seemed to care. We were lucky, we got a car. Many didnt. How is this acceptable? No explanation, no discount, no remorse at all. Terrible customer service but no one even cared.
