      I pre-paid $200 for a car at JAX for 4 days. I was surprised but told there were additional fees when I went to pick up the car. When I inquired I was told that $180 of the fees were Airport Taxes (and I trusted what he said - figured it was unavoidable). I wasn't given anything to view until it was time for my signature. I was charged $274 extra. I didn't realize the amount until I got home and reviewed the receipt. When I called CS I was told "since I signed the keypad" there was nothing they could do. I got the same response from the Supervisor. We had gotten up at 2:30am and it was 1pm when we arrived at the airport. I can't believe companies like this are still allowed to operate. I'm seeing WAY TOO MANY reviews like mine!! Btw - I was charged a Loss Damage Waiver at $34.99 per day ($139.96) and a Premium Roadside Service at $9.99 per day ($39.96). I have AAA and Insurance that covers this. No need for either. This was the $180 I was told were "Airport Taxes"! BEWARE!!

      I booked a reservation on October 19th for November 3rd rental @1:30 pm. It was prepaid and confirmed. As a verb, to reserve is to stash something away or to set it aside for future use. However, upon arrival, the agent made an announcement that reservations made on Nov 1, 2, or 3rd would NOT be honored and those made prior will have to wait 5 to 6 hours for a rental. If we chose to leave we would have to go to the party we booked through to request refund. I called around all ATL and everywhere was sold out. I was renting a car to travel 3 hours away. I was not the only one with this scenario that was put out. So I waited in the lobby on the hard floor with multitudes of people. During this time I watched several customers get told all the cars are sold out, even those who booked prior to November 1st. They were given 2 options, request a refund, or come back the next day. I witnessed several families at a loss of what to do. A mother traveling with 3 young children turned away as well. These customers were given no reasonable solution for something that was no fault of their own but Dollar Car Rentals fault for not upholding their own contract. I waited 3 hours and was finally provided a car. Gas tank was 1/8th full. There was no accommodation or any credit provided for the inconvenience and time I had to wait. This same issue of reservations not being upheld has been frequently happening, according to the Google ratings The BBB has several reviews in regards to this as well. This company puts their employees at a disadvantage and having to explain for the companies lack of organization. I am very disappointed this is how the company continues to operate even after several ti.es being notified of the issues. Dollar Car Rental has truly shown how customers are nit their focus but revenue is their key driver.

      It's a really painful experience, even though we(party of two) did the online checkin, we still needed to stay in the line for about an hour, then were told that even it's our turn to be at the counter with the clerk, it could be another 4 hours waiting and the car wouldn't be guranteed. The lady representative was extremely rude to us, telling my partner that we wouldn't get a car anyway since we were yelling. And actually we communicated in a polite way and didn't yell at all. Haven't seen a representative like this unprofessional and a company overbooked like this. I will never consider Dollar Rental at all. Not only we suffered financial loss on this since we hade to take uber for the few days stay in Atlanta, we mentally suffered from the long line, anxiety and unfair treatment from the extremely poor customer service. I called later to cancel the booking and Dollar told me to contact travelocity. It took me a long long time to just get the trivial refund back. Dollar really sucks! Don't choose it. If there was a 0 rating I would pick 0 for Dollar Rental at ATL airport.

      It looks like many others have had bad experiences too. I waited in line for 2 hours to pick up the car. After I returned the car full of gas and in the sane condition as I rented it, the thieves charged my credit card $600+ for a car wash and gas fillup. I disputed the charges with my credit card company and they did not pay Dollar. I called Dollar and talked to representative that said all charges would be refunded. That was a lie. Dollar turned me over to collections. Doesn't bother me, Dollar can go get Bent.

      I rented from 7/24-8/18/23 I picked up a rental car with an international driver's license. I was going to take the driver's license road test with my rental car on 8/3. However, the inspector found that the rental car license plate had expired and that I could not take the test. So, I hurriedly visited the rental office to request a vehicle change, and completed the road test with the changed vehicle. At the time, an employee at the car rental office made no apologies for the license plate expiry. The cigarette smell was so bad that I couldn't put my children in the car, so I stopped by the car rental office on the next day, August 4th, and asked to change the car. However, the rental car staff said that it could not be changed unless it was a mechanical problem, and told me to talk to the manager. Afterwards, while talking with the female manager, I told her that I had done a road test with a rental car, so she said it was against your policy. I asked to print and show what the policy was, but they just said it was on the homepage and didn't confirm it properly. Another operations manager also repeated the same words and did not confirm the terms and conditions and told me to leave because the contract was closed. I checked the Dollar homepage to check your policy, but I couldn't find anything related to the road test. I googled about a road test with a rental car and found the following. https://blog.autoslash.com/sixteen-year-old-crashes-rental-car-a-story-that-should-be-impossible/ It is explained that people without a formal license are prohibited from taking a road test using a rental car, but those with an international driver's license are an exception. I have a Korean driver's license, and I rented your car with an international driver's license. So I didn't violate your policy. However, you canceled my car rental contract and did not ask these questions.

      This rental company running a scam. They wanted to force me to take an EV car and I told them that I just need a regular car. They insisted that I had to pay extra $15 a day for a regular compact car. The car was old and dirty inside.

      I just want to warn anyone renting a car through Expedia to be very couscous renting from Dollar Car Rental. I rented a 12 passenger van from Dollar using Expedia and was giving a great price. A total of $311 for 5 days. When we got to the pickup point the van wasnt cleaned yet so we waited nearly an hour for the van to be ready to drive away. When it got to the pickup spot we found the back seat could not be removed for a wheelchair and baby car seat so we traded down to a smaller SUV and told we would be given a credit as it was cheaper to rent than the 12 passenger van. All was well..until I looked at my credit card charge. We returned the car with a full tank of gas, left it clean and without any damages. Thinking I would be charged less that what I originally booked it for you can imagine my shock when I found I actually paid $769 for 4 full days and a few hours as the car was dropped off in the wee hours of the morning. I thought there must surely have been a mistake but no, thats what I was charged. So be forewarned! They are crooked as a bolt of lighting and burn you just as bad as well.

      DO NOT USE DOLLAR CAR RENTAL!!! This is the worst car rental service I have ever used!!! I made a reservation to pick a car at 5:30 pm at ************* in ************* on 10/19/2023, when I arrived there, there was no Dollar rental it was another company at the pickup location. Then I was told that they do not have any car while they had cars and told me the service with dollar car rental was cancelled. I didn't get any phone call or notification from Dollar car rental. nobody communicated with me or informed me that the reservation was cancelled, that the car would not be available.....I HAD PAID FOR THE *** RENTAL ONLINE!!! it's not nice for a company to treat its customers like that. i was told that my reservation has now been cancelled and that i would get a refund in 7 to 10 business days. i need my money back so I can rent a car from someone who actually rents car to people!!!! give me back my money!

      Scammers. Wanted to buy the 57 ***** but had to make appointment. They cancelled appt day of. Offered cash deal and then were told boss closing business for a few months for personal reasons. We had a friend contact them and he heard from them after we were told they couldnt sell anything. They wanted to ship the carnot sure of their scam. But STAY AWAY. They would not sell a car still listed. All of a sudden marked sold. SUSPICIOUS BUSINESS.

      This is for Dollar at ****************************************************************************************. After flying for 6 hours and being 100% disabled. I went to Dallar to pick up the car I reserved around ****. I went to the express pickup and know one was there. I then went up stars to the main office and there were over a hundred people standing in line for a car. Dollar only had 2 personnel working the counters. I guess all the reps were at lunch. I called corporate office customer service and explained I was disabled and there was an over two hour wait for a car. They said there was nothing they could do and I would need to stand in line to speak to a representative. It took over two hours to get the car. iN addition I had a reservation I had to cancel due to the long wait.
