      Never ever rent a car from this company. I planned a trip for over a year to go to ************************* for fly fishing. I rented a station wagon fir a week, price was under $600 but when I picked it ** in ************** it was over $1,000. Ok, taxes and fees I guess. I drive all the way to the park, blow up my air mattress and get ready to sleep in the car but the driver's window wouldn't go up. Temperature that night was 37 and it was raining. I froze. I drove all the way back to SLC to exchange cars, over 6 hours, and the agent asked why I was exchanging cars, I told him the window wouldn't go up. He asked me if it was a Suburu and I said yes. He said we've had that problem with that car before. So they rent out cars with known problems and so I turned it in early and they would not even give me credit for the days I didn't use. Also the front brake rotors were warped. Stay away!

      VERY VERY DISHONEST - Dollar near the ************. Was charged for services that I opted out of. When I asked about the charges, I was lied to. I then signed the paperwork and left. After arriving at my destination, I took a closer look at the paperwork and didn't feel right about what was explained to me, and called customer service as the actual ********************** location doesn't have a direct phone number. They told me that there clearly was a mistake made, and that they would put a note in the system and to let the agent know about the mistake when I returned the car. I did so, and they refused to remove the charges. Manager refused to speak to me. Essentially, they have built a business model based on taking advantage of tourists. Once they have your signature on that paper, no matter how they get it, they feel covered. Be extra diligent in reviewing the charges, and DO NOT TRUST WHAT THE AGENTS TELL YOU

      Very dishonest. Rented a car at the Ft Lauderdale aiport. Pre paid $374, with $136 due at the counter. The male customer service rep asked if I wanted insurance to which I declined. He then asked me to sign that I was declining the insurance. I received a final bill with $462 dollar in charges including the insurance I declined. I was quoted $510 total and ended up paying $834. Customer support actually laughed on the phone and said that I signed the insurance agreement. All I want is my refund of the insurance charge that I did not agree to.

      I would never rent from Dollar again. I paid through Expedia, and was told price at pickup would be $68. We arrived at Miami International Airport and was then told we had to put down a $500 deposit. We ended up paying $700 at pickup, and they just took $350 out of my acct for "taxes" Dollar is a ripoff, do not trust them. Zero out of 5 stars

      A complete nightmare of an experience. Incredibly long lines due to being understaffed, terrible policies, and worst of all, after the long line, THEY HAD NO CARS AVAILABLE!!! Wow, lesson learned.

      I had a tremendously disappointing experience where Dollar put me and my wife in danger as they gave us a car which became disabled about 20 minutes after picking it up. I wrote a complaint to their corporate customer department and got a form letter apology back. This was dangerous and careless on Dollar's part and I requested a full refund. Thanks

      Dishonest. Dishonest, dishonest. Rented a car at the Orlando Airport online. The price quoted was decent, so I put money down when renting using my credit card. My laptop security provides a Alias number o line to help with fraud protection. I waited in line an hour, to be told that because I didn’t have the Alias card number on hand, I would have to call customer service, cancel the card on the reservation and then pay with my physical card at the desk. Went through the process, was told cost would be the same…got back to the desk, and cost had gone up by $75…not that big of a deal. However, they pulled a complete bait and switch on me. The male customer service rep asked if I wanted insurance- I declined. He then continued to go thru the costs with me- there was a $249 charge, that he told Me was just a “deposit” and I would get back when returning. He conveniently had his hand over the wording- just showing me the dollar amounts. When I got my receipt in my email, that amount was not taken off. I have called multiple times- and they said I agreed because I signed the form, then they would call and see if the Orlando airport Dollar rent a car manager would agree to a refund- that they would email me. Multiple calls and weeks later- nothing. I will never rent again from This company, and will Make sure to pass my experience along to all my traveling friends. Dishonest is an understatement. Would give 0 stars if I could.

      We leased a van from Dollar Car Rental at the Philadelphia airport. After driving the van for an hour, we stopped for lunch. At that time we noticed a green mark on the back passenger tire. Upon further inspection, we saw a nail/screw in the tire at that spot. Called Dollar Emergency Service. We were told we could either drive the van back and get another or they would send a tow truck and get the van. They advised me that we would have to pay for the tow truck. We declined both options. We had the tire inspected instead at AAA who advised us that the tire could not be plugged. They stated that the tire was not leaking air so we could probably proceed. We did. We returned van to Dollar a few days later and were told that we would have to pay for the tire. We objected since clearly the nail/screw either was known or should have been known by Dollar and they should not have rented the van to us. They tout their inspection of vehicles when returned. Well either the previous renter saw the nail/screw and had it marked and Dollar failed to see it in their “inspection”, or else Dollar found the nail/screw and marked it and rented the van to us anyway. In any event we should not have been charged for the tire. The staff at Dollar were very rigid and unwilling to acknowledge their failure. We will never use them again. Awful experience.

      Never rent a car from this ridiculous company If youre even a few minutes late, they cancel your reservation without warning Doesnt matter that you confirmed!!!! Which we did And they charged a $48 fee for absolutely no reasons Disgusting

      Absolute garbage. Huge scam. Reserved and paid for vehicle with confirmation car would be ready for pickup only to get to the counter and be told theres a 3 hr wait. Which turned out to be 5 hrs. Then another $500 deposit fee only to be given a smaller cheaper vehicle that I didnt pay for. How does this agency still have a business license???
