We hired A1 pavers to do our front driveway and pathways. On day one of the construction we were told there would be a project manager to oversee the project but they never arrived The sub contractors spoke no english and didnt listen to us when we advised them about our irrigation and main water lines. They managed to break all the irrigation and main water lines, when we tried to call the office no one answered so we had to get an plumber to come out and repair the water main which we were out of water for 2 days with a damage cost of $2700 just for the water main. Then we were left with a construction zone front yard for months that we could not walk on that had rebar and steel mesh which was a hazard for anyone trying to enter our property. The company continually ghosted our calls until we had to get the owner ********************* involved. We voiced our concerns with the project and he advised us this is normal. Fast forward to the job completion and we now have huge cracks throughout the concrete and the main reason for the claim is for poor workmanship and the fact we are out of pocket over $4000 with damages from this companyBusiness Response

"Over promised and under delivered."
We are surprised that you are under the impression that we over promised and under delivered. We have a contract, a permit issued by the ***********************, and a rendering. All very clearly outline the scope of work. We performed the job in accordance with all three documents, had various inspections and signatures from the city signing off on the job and eventually final inspections which resulted in the conditions of the contract and city requirements being satisfied and your permit closed.
"From day one of construction, they damaged all the irrigation and main water lines. We were left without water for 2 days only to be ghosted when we tried to tell them."
Your contract states that while we will make every effort to avoid damage to your sprinkler lines and all utilities, sometimes, unfortunately, it is unavoidable. Both your sprinkler lines and your main water line ran under the envelope of the extension of your walkway and were extremely close to the surface. We have pictures and a video from our operators of the damage as it happened. So, to say that you were ghosted when we tried to tell them" Is absolutely untrue as we were aware from the moment it happened. You even sent an email to us on August 14, 2023, confirming the fact that you called to have it repaired. The excavation was done on August 14, 2023, repairs to your water main started that same day and were completed the very next day.So not sure how you claimed to be out of water for 2 days! We have the invoice showing dates from your plumbing company!
"Then we were left with wire mesh in the front for months which was a hazard for anyone entering the property."
Excavation was done and completed on Monday August 14, 2023. Water line repairs finished August 15th, 2023. Forms and welded wire mesh installed on Thursday August 17, 2023. We advised you that we were going to call in the form inspection and schedule the concrete to be poured. You asked us not to schedule the concrete as you had two other contractors, a fence company and a landscape company, who had to do certain aspects of their work before we poured the concrete. We therefore had to wait for your go ahead before we poured the concrete. We even had to move and reset the forms several times to accommodate your fence contractor. On August 23, 2023, we received a text message from you asking us to lower the grade in the island for your landscaper which we did at no charge. On August 28, 2023, form inspection has been performed and the city has now given us permission to pour. That same day you asked us to move the forms yet again for your fence contractor, which we did. August 29, 2023, we receive another request from you to provide a plumber or laborer who can complete digging a trench and installing pipes as the person you hired hurt his back on the job and could not finish. I provided you with our plumber, whom you paid directly. The plumber finished the job on August 30, 2023. Concrete was eventually poured on Monday September 11, 2023, 4 weeks after we first excavated. Two of those weeks we were help up by your two other contractors.Thereafter we had rain events which affected our concrete suppliers schedule and we had to wait on them. Even so, from the date we started until we poured concrete was only 4 weeks not months as you stated.
"When they finally came back to pour the concrete it cracked in half within a few weeks of the pour."
This is untrue. On October 24, 2023, I visited the property along with one of our foremen. You pointed out one minor hairline crack. Of which you sent me a picture beforehand. I suggested that we could either repair it or replace it.You refused both options. I then asked you what you would like us to do, and your response was I dont know. You said that whenever you were able you would get another contractor to look at it. You have posted several pictures of the same crack taken from different angles which we interpret as an attempt to further deceive and portray that there are multiple cracks.
"We are now left with a damage bill of over $4000 and cracks throughout the concrete."
This again is untrue as the only invoice that you provided was from Main Line Plumbing for $2647.62. As explained above you have one crack on your property, not throughout. Which we have offered to repair or replace, and you refused.
"Based on our experience we would recommend never doing business with this company."
Worthy of note is the fact that of the 10 reviews that we found that you posted, reviewing 10 different companies, 7 of them are 1 star.

Here is a list of issues we have experienced with this company:
Cracks in concrete, one is near the front door that goes all the way through the concrete and across the whole width of the area.
Cracks in the concrete at the road entrance, this has got worse and now there are large concrete chips appearing.
Sewage inspection port cap still does not s**** in correctly.
The front doorstep was cracked and broken.
Main water line was broken and when we tried to call their office they never answered so I had to get a plumber to come out and repair. We had no water for two days due to this. Before we signed the contract, we were told ****** would be at the site to oversee the removal of the old driveway and make sure they didnt dig up the water main. ****** never visited the work site once the first deposit was made and stopped answering our calls.
All the sprinkler heads were destroyed, even after I tried to explain to their sub-contractor not to dig deep in that area, they just shrugged their shoulders and packed up their bobcat and left.
AC unit broken down due to the fact they used grinders to cut all the areas for the turf instead of using a wet concrete cutter. The dust bellowed out blocking the coils in the condenser and making a huge mess including a mess with the neighbors.
Chips off the concrete where they tried to cut the area for the turf. I had questioned why they did not box up the job like every other concrete contractor and was told this is normal and the best way. After consulting other concrete companies this is not the correct way.
The turf was cut so badly there are large gaps which looks terrible. The glue never held, and they had to come back to try to repair but there are still areas where it is lifting up.
They poured the concrete on the only day it decided to rain and the finish of the concrete is sub-par and not acceptable.
We repeatedly tried calling to voice our concerns only to be ghosted.
There is still an open permit even after we had paid in full for the job.Customer Answer

We performed the job in accordance with all three documents, had various inspections and signatures from the city signing off on the job and eventually final inspections which resulted in the conditions of the contract and city requirements being satisfied and your permit closed.
**KM**This is a lie, there is still an outstanding permit open at my house under your business. The issue was not resolved that same day and they had to come back, this left us without water for 2 days and having to find alternative accommodation. I am sure the plumbing company will back up my claims for this. I sent you the email as no one answered my calls about the damages so I needed to have a paper trail for this exact reason**

**KM**This is a lie, there is still an outstanding permit open at my house under your business. These are public records so anyone can log in and see for themselves.
**JM** Apparently, they are incapable of understanding english. The permit they are claiming is outstanding is on the CITY'S PROPERTY and has nothing to do with them. My company paid a $650 bond to the city to protect their sidewalk. If there was damage to the city sidewalk then the city would inform me of same and if I did not repair it then the city would use the $650 bond to make the necessary repairs. His permit is and has been closed. I have tried to explain this to him but apparently he is not understanding. See sidewalk permit closed attached.
"From day one of construction, they damaged all the irrigation and main water lines. We were left without water for 2 days only to be ghosted when we tried to tell them."

**JM** Another lie. We have a bill from HIS plumber that on the day of the excavation they came and started the repairs and finished the next day. That seems like 24 hours or less to make the repairs. In case they do not know ******************************** addition, they signed a contract that we were not responsible for any broken sprinkler lines or utility lines. But then again maybe they have a difficulty understanding English or the written word.
"Then we were left with wire mesh in the front for months which was a hazard for anyone entering the property."

**KM**Your form work was not done correctly in the first place and I sent you text messages and pictures claiming this.
**JM** Another Lie. However, even if the formwork was not installed correctly, you still delayed the project by two weeks as your other two contractors had to finish their scope of work. What is it about that that is so hard for you to understand? I have text messages too asking to delay the pour. You even told me that when I met with you and your wife???
**KM** another lie, we never once said to stop the pour, all the other projects revolved around you completing your tasks which you did not do in a timely manner** August 29, 2023, we receive another request from you to provide a plumber or laborer who can complete digging a trench and installing pipes as the person you hired hurt his back on the job and could not finish. **JM** When I visited your home you showed me ONE hairline crack!!!!! I asked my ******* to inspect and video the entire job. He DID NOT see any more cracks,NOR DID YOU. Even if I came to visit the job and saw additional cracks, what would that achieve? The only two ways that I know to fix the cracks are to repair them or replace them. You REFUSED both options!!!

**JM** This is amusing as you never once mentioned anything to me in our numerous conversations and text messages. It is only when you could not pay me after the job was complete that all of these things suddenly surfaced. I had to get my ************ to file a "***************"against you to force you to pay me the close to $6,000 that you owed me. The next step would have been to put a lien on your house. It seems to me that the day or the day after you received the *************** you immediately paid the invoice online. Then Miraculously all these issues suddenly surface. How coincidental ????
**KM** again we have numerous cracks in our concrete, our front door step was broken, the turf you laid is wonky, the concrete was poured in the rain so it has the worse finish imaginable and the sewage inspection port still doesn't open or close. I am rejecting this response because: All you have done is make excuses, saying I don't understand english tops it off. Clearly you have nothing constructive to say. It's quite simple really. Fix the issues with the project and repay the monies for the damages and then we can both move on!!
Once again these are my issues:
Cracks in concrete, one is near the front door that goes all the way through the concrete and across the whole width of the area.
Cracks in the concrete at the road entrance, this has gotten worse and now there are large concrete chips appearing.
Sewage inspection port cap still does not s**** in correctly.

Chips off the concrete where they tried to cut the area for the turf need repairing.
The turf was cut so badly there are large gaps which looks terrible and need repairing.Maybe you should actually try to make an effort to repair your poor workmanship instead of just insulting me. I'm sure the BBB can see you have not tried at all to resolve this issue.
