Purchased an airline ticket and was told after the purchase that there was no guarantee to flight until 24 hours prior to the flight and not able to even take a carry on. The sale is misleading and fraudulent they offer you to upgrade to main cabin for a price that is as much money as what you paid originally and also you are told there is no refund on the purchaseInitial Complaint

I'd like to file a complaint against bestticketfare.com.I called my credit card company to dispute the charges. I used cheap ********** to book a flight which I have done in the past. This website came up and I booked 2 round trip tickets, these were actual flights I saw on other sites but much cheaper. After awhile of not receiving a confirmation e-mail I did find it odd. Shortly after I received a call from a man with an accent informing me my promotion came with several restrictions- that the dates had to be flexible and that I couldn't check in a bag or carry on. I told him that will not work for me. He said he would look into other flight options and came back with a different flight which was double of what I paid. I told him that is unacceptable and the website did not mention restrictions. He claims it did but I couldn't get back on the site after he told me to check. I told him I wanted to cancel the transaction and he claims it was non refundable and that they booked them with the airlines already. How this can happen when he offered me a different site I'm not sure. I told him I was calling my credit card to complain and put a stop on the transaction. This feels like a bait and switch scam. When I went to ****** there are a bunch of complaints with this happening. This site needs to get shut down. I hope my credit card company blocks the pending charges because I have not received any email notifications and at this point this is not what I originally authorized. My credit company said they would dispute the charges but i feel the need to also make a formal complaint as this business is preying on people.Customer Answer

I believe I may have to reopen this claim as *************** has re charged my card. My credit card is trying to dispute the charges, *************** confirmed I was a no show and claimed that the charges were not canceled.
The third party told me it was not refundable and when I told them I would dispute with my credit card and get a lawyer involved they then sent me this email

I purchased tickets at 190 but never received a ticket. When I called I was told confirmation would be 24 hrs. I didn't receive confirmation at 24 hrs so I called again. I was told it could take 48 hrs. I waited. When I didn't receive anything I called again and was told that the return trip was confirmed but the departing flight was being put on standby by ***************. I pushed for some solid information but was told that I could upgrade for hundreds of dollars more and get a confirmed flight but that if the outbound flight was not confirmed I would need to purchase the outgoing flight at the airport. I demanded that they cancel the return trip because they had not provided a complete ticket and was told there were no refunds. This is is bait and switch or outright theft!Initial Complaint

purchased ticket on Monday 12.2.24. I wanted to get additional info as I had not received any confirmation through email. When I called in they told me it was a restricted flight and that I could not travel with anything other than my phone and wallet. I was also told at that time it was non refundable and that the only thing I could do is upgrade. I did not want to do this as the ticket was purchased by my friend as a gift to me. I was told they would get everything figured out and call me back in 40 min. I waited two hours and called back. I was then told that there were 9 people ahead of me waiting on this same ticket. I tried to get clarification but was just given the run around. I was hung-up on several time and finally when I put my foot down and told them to figure out how to get my purchased flight they told me they were going to cancel. I was clear on all my recorded calls that it was not an option to cancel. This company needs to be investigated.Initial Complaint

No where in this business website does it indicate that the airline tickets are standby.. also there are no indications that bag purchases are not part of the package.. as we were processing our request, the birthdate for one of the passenger was incorrectly placed. The site was unwilling to modify the proper dob year.. we spoke to multiple people, each one was confrontational. I will not make any future purchases through this site.Initial Complaint

I purchased airline tickets from **********, **** to ***********, ***** so that my parents could go and visit their grandson who is on a deployment with the Army there. We had planned to go in February *************************************************************************************************************** any health issues with my parents. My dad is going to be 90 this next year. My mom is in her 80s. They assured me that this was the case and the tickets could be Refunded if necessary my dad is having some issues with Alzheimers and we believe that this trip will be too much for him so I have tried to get reimbursement for these tickets. Theyre telling me that all I can do is get a voucher. I dont believe my parents are ever gonna want to fly again its gonna be too much stress , Ive tried emailing calling. Talked with ****************** about this process because I believed I was dealing with them with the credit card company. This business/site is a TOTAL SCAM! On 11/3/24, I was searching the internet for roundtrip airfare for two and was directed to Bestticketfare.com. I selected/held flights on *****************. I received a call the next day from *. ****, who identified himself as a travel agent. He confirmed the flights selected, then listed numerous restrictions be cause of the class of my ticket (no personal item allowed, no carry-on item, and no option to check baggage). I stated that would not work as we would be gone four days, He offered to contact the airline to change the ticket to a different class. He said he was unable to do that, however found another option which cost me an additional $598 on top of the $711 I had already spent. At this point I was suspect and felt that I was the victim of a **************** My initial reservation had been canceled and I was left with no option but to go with the new flights he found on ***************** Air at a total cost of $1297.98. I was on the phone with *. **** for over an hour, and after I hung up, I called AA to see if what he told me was true. I was NOT. I called my bank and submitted a dispute for the purchase. I've emailed *. **** requesting that Bestticketfare cancel the transaction and refund my money. I am awaiting a response.Initial Complaint

On 10-16-24, I was searching for flight for 2 passengers to ********* from ********* round trip. Best ticket fare offered me flights for 2 at $ 753. I accepted the flight and gave them my information with a debit. I printed out the flights and times with price. The next day, I looked on my statements and found they took out $546 for one passenger through *********************. I received a call telling me that that flight was a promotion and they could only get one ticket . The other ticket was on a waiting list and could not guarantee the flight. I could pay for the second flight for a total of $1151. They wanted my confirmation. I did not give them my consent. This seems very illegal and swindling. I tried to put a hold on the payment through the bank and they are looking into it. If there is any advise, i would appreciate it. Or can I go to authorities, if that has merit. Date of Transaction: 10/16/24 Attempted to book a flight through bestticketfare.com. They misquoted me a price for a ticket.An email sent to me said that it hadn't been booked and if I didn't receive a confirmation within 24 hours to call them.I didn't receive any confirmation or boarding passes, so I called them. It went to a call center where they gave me a long story about how the original flight wasn't available at that price anymore and I was on standby. But they could change my flight dates and see what "deal" they could get.This resulted in them offering other flights ranges with random "extra charges" for each way. First they offered me one that was very expensive, eagerly agreeing that it was too expensive (~$400), then miraculously found one with a charge of $118 for both ******* flight was "changed" and they told me it would show up as two different charges. One from the airline and one from them.Checking the ***************** website I see that not only were the charges completely made up, the "rules and restrictions" they sent in their initial email for my initial flight were completely made up as well.I have called them multiple times trying to get them to reverse the fee and they simply pass you around from operator to operator each one who recites the same spiel. They lied about the original flight cost, each operator giving me a different number for that every time I spoke to them. They lied about the rules and restrictions such as not being allowed to take ANY bags with me.This company is a 100% scam as they do nothing for you. *** they will 100% call your phone over and over again until you have to block them.Initial Complaint

We purchased airline tickets on the website. Later that day the company called trying to upsell to move to a different airport and/or different travel dates/times. We declined and were told by a supervisor we would get the confirmation within an hour. We have yet to get the email now a day later. Today the company again called saying the tickets purchased are standby unless we pay an additional $140 per ticket, which again we declined. No where in the order process or on the website does it state the tickets are basic economy, and worse yet, that the tickets are standby. The company refuses to cancel the purchase, yet it trying to extort additional money for higher cost seats. The flight is for 11/6 so time is of the essence to resolve this so we can purchase tickets elsewhere or have them guarantee seats on the plane as purchased. The files attached show what info was available in the order process. It does NOT state that the tickets were "BASIC" Economy (which means no seat selection nor luggage ALLOWED, nor that the seats were STANDBY.
