Paid for services. Was overcharged for an additional appraisal that I was told I wouldnt have to pay for but got charged anyways. Holding my check even though they have been paid. They are liars and carpet baggers. Stay away from them. And when they respond that they say we didnt agree to not charging you for the extra appraisal fee. Recording goes both ways.

    Hi,

Appraisal is a part of an alternative dispute resolution. Being that we are your public adjusters, we are unable to act as your appraiser just like your insurance company cannot act as an appraiser. Both parties are then asked to choose a neutral appraiser and will bear the cost of that appraiser, you were explained the process; you were in agreement, and we found you an appraiser. We do not pay your appraiser or appraisal fees.

We acted swiftly and professionally and as a result of our work both your insurance claims were settled with-in 90 days of the storm. You were extremely grateful and thanked us.

You received checks that you still owe us outstanding invoices on. You are now dealing with the mortgage process, and it is a daunting process, unfortunately, we do not have control over that process as they have elected to monitor the rebuild process of your property. We even agreed to help you and wait on the invoice until the fund were released so that you can pay us.

You sent us a check for our fees and separate check for the appraiser's fee which was received late on Thursday the 16th, Your check was mailed to you via ***** on Friday the 17th. Because you did not receive your check on Saturday the 18th you proceeded to send threatening messages and emails of disparaging my company, you also called at 11:30pm and did the same.

We have done everything we said we would and then some, we do not control ***** or your mortgage company. I am asking you to please remove this review as you know inside that it is factually untrue and in good faith, we will continue to work with you.

    Best Regards,

Florida Public Adjusting has continuedly exhibited incompetence, unlawful, and unfair practices where it concerns services they're providing me with as the public adjuster on my insurance claim. My claim was initially denied due to the negligence of ***********************. He did not provide the insurance company with documentation they requested to further consider my claim. Now today Florida Public Adjusting is placing me in a vulnerable position where after almost 4 years I'm just receiving settlement. I went to their office to try and get clarity on the process of having the claim check endorsed. Also, to get a final invoice cleared up. I spoke with ****** who asked me to make a copy of the check that I walked into their office with. She stated she needed to see the check and make a copy so that she could prepare my final invoice. I presented her with the check. After which, I waited and extended amount of time. She presented me with an invoice that was inaccurate according to my records. The invoice included charges that had had already been settled and had nothing at all to do with Florida Public Adj. I needed to go to an appointment. I asked ****** to give me the unendorsed check back, told her I would speak to **** to try and get the final amount owed resolved. Told her once they get the invoice to what is actually owed to them, I'd return, and we could settle everything upon my return. ****** refused to return my check to me, telling me her boss **** said to keep the unendorsed check. I proceeded to call the police at this time because Florida Public Adjusting had just robbed me of a check that I walked into their office with. The actions they displayed on Friday Dec 29, 23 not only showed unfair business practice, fraud, and, unjust, but by not dealing fairly with the consumer and forcing me to continue to delay the repair process. their action will further delay me in repairing my house which will continue to jeopardize the structural integrity of my property.

Unfortunately the only thing thats true in this entire email is that her claim was ultimately resolved; not just resolved but resolved for $*******! For context - ***** came to us towards the end of 2020 with a Hurricane **** claim. Hurricane **** occurred on September 10, 2017, so she approached us about representation close to 3 years from the date of loss. I immediately advised her that in Florida although you have the right to file the claim for up to 3 years, as a matter of law her claim would be deemed late reported and the carrier would be given a presumption of prejudice due to the late reporting which we would have to overcome. ***** sat for an examination under oath at which time she told the carrier she noticed the damages immediately after the storm. She explained that the reason she didnt report it sooner was because she made the repairs and didnt realize the extent of the damages. Of course the carrier ultimately denied the claim. That said, because of the manner in which I worked up the file and the fact I felt that in my experience the visible damage to her roof was consistent with hurricane damage I suggested she file a lawsuit as the prejudice could be overcome and the claim would be covered. I went above and beyond and convinced an attorney that other clients of mine have worked with (with great success) to take her case and promised I would provide litigation support throughout. When suit was filed the carrier had two defenses, late reporting and failure to mitigate - nothing to do with documents or anything else. I spent hours and hours preparing documents in response to subpoenas and preparing for and ultimately giving a deposition which lasted several hours. Ultimately after my deposition and supporting affidavit the law firm defeated summary judgment and settled the case on the eve of trial. Frankly, ***** was always happy and cordial with me. However, when money was finally on the table (and not just money but a remarkable resolution) she started trying to figure out a multitude of ways not to pay us. The reality is shes breached our contract in so many different ways, the fact she had the gall to file this complaint is mind blowing. I dont need to get into all the things shes done wrong as that will be resolved in another forum, but I felt this response should suffice. Thanks for your patience and let me know if you need anything else.

    Thank you,

I am rejecting this response because: *********************** is a liar and a thief. Pay attention to hire long it took him to chime up with this rehearsed response. Check his resent ****** reviews they more than support my complaint. I had no problem at all with paying what is actually owed. My problem is him creating fraudulent invoices for fees that has absolutely nothing to do with him nor his office. I have a police report to prove that his office robbed me of the initial settlement check. Had to stop payment to prevent additional fraudulent attempts. This is all documented. Also ***** initial failure to provide the insurence carrier with information they requested was the reason for my denied claim. Again, all documented. Had I done research to know, I would have fired his office after my claim was denied do to his negligence. **** took on my claim in full confidence that he would get great results. When I reached out to Florida public adjusting (****) it was for an issue that I was having with my roof that particular moment. As I said before, **** is a liar and a thief. Theres a ring of them involved, including his dad (which works in his office, and his office staff. Insured beware. Save yourself a lot of stress and a huge headache.  Find someone else or skip a public adjuster all together and go straight to an attorney. Learn from my mistakes. Supporting documents are available upon request.

    Sincerely,

Please blackout the cash amount in the responses from ***************************. To my knowledge this could become public record which could possible lead to something that could potentially be harmful to me. Very unprofessional of him. To divulge such information, is probably a violation of his professional laws and license as of ********************** Adjuster.
