On 06/01/15 the BBB asked the company to substantiate the advertising on their website that states
“ We offer the best roll off service in Jacksonville and best price for the best service“. The company
has not substantiated this claim and also continues to use this on their website as of 06/30/15. The
company has failed to modify the advertisement.
As per the BBB Code of Advertising, Objective claims related to tangible quality and performance
values of products or service which can be measured against accepted standards or tests. As a
statement of facts such as claims can be proved or disproved and the advertiser should posses
substantiation.
In summary, when a company advertises they are the best they must be able to substantiate this with
facts, for example, any awards won that would give them the title of being the best. If this is the case
then this should be listed with the advertisement.
