    I ordered a product from a business for our business. They shipped it via freight R&L Carriers. During the transport R&L damaged the product severely where it was unsellable. I contacted R&L Carriers and they took zero responsibility for the damage. I filed a claim and again R&L failed to take any responsibility for the damage. The claims department informed me it was the manufacturer I needed to contact and not them.

    We were approached by a sales rep from R&L carriers hoping to move our freight for our company. We were told they would honor the freight class used by the carrier we were already using. we agreed to use R&L. We used them for several shipments with the same freight class as promised. We began to see the freight class being change to a higher rate class which more than doubled our rates. I reached out to the same sales rep, via email, that originally assured us this would not happen. He returned the email stating he would look into this. He did not get back with us until we shipped several more shipments with the understanding this would be taking care of. We reached out to him once more via email, he said there was nothing he could do.

    I allege R&L is engaging in deceptive business practices. We have reached out to them several times about this matter but the emails never get returned. We have not paid the invoices for the shipments that the prices were altered. In every email we have sent we state that once the original prices are restored we will send the payment immediately. We want to pay these past due invoices for the original amount, not the adjusted amount. All our unaltered invoices have been paid on time and for the agreed amount.
