I paid the full $12,345 bill for All Phases Pool Remodeling Inc. to renovate my pool back in October 2021. Work began in December 2021. The pool is still not completed and it’s August 2022. All Phases Pool Remodeling does not call, text or email back regarding any of the unresolved issues with the pool. I went Into the office twice to speak to someone and they refused that as well. The biggest issue with the pool is a the cup sized plug that was supposed to temporarily stop a leak. And that has been in my pool for months with no one responding to my inquiries about when it will be addressed. The pool leak formed upon a jet fitting being hammered on by a technician supervisor. The fitting was the wrong size and the hammering caused the tiles to crack above the jet, and the pipe leading to the pool to shift or break, causing a leak in the pool.

      Business Response

Tell  There have been a couple issues with jets in this general
area . Back in February , the home owner said the therapy jets stuck to far out
      - We had ***** go out and the jets were flush with the plaster. Homeowners said
the old ones did not stick out that far .   ***** removed them per
      homeowner's request .
In march,  homeowner called and said pool was leaking.
APPR sent A+ leak locator out and found a leak near skimmer , no other leaks .
APPR repaired that leak ( ******** ).  ***** also did a low alk treatment
      on pool . (finished 5-3 )
Next contact Iam aware of was May 23rd ,
homeowner contacted office saying the tiles and decking were cracking around
      the non-working jet . On May 24th , i contacted *** ****** to come out and
inspect the pool we agreed to meet on May 26th or June 2nd( it was a Thursday -
      not sure which )
I spoke with the homeowner and he showed me one
cracked bullnose tile and a couple cracks on the deck where that tile was and
said one jet was not working correctly and the pool was leaking .  I
inspected the Jet the jet spoke of , which was one of the two bubbler jets on
the swim bench . He said the original guy who did the startup used a hammer to
pound it in . I said that was me and slip jets do get hammered in are they are
tapered to fit tightly ; They are not pounded in as trying to swing a mallet or
hammer under water is rather hard to do and not a lot of force there .

I opened the bubbler line ( was closed when I arrived
) and the right bubbler jet was not flowing - generally there would be a lot of
bubbles due to the jet type.  The left jet was working as it should
.  I did a dye test and the right jet was pulling dye so I knew there was a
leak. I reclosed the bubbler line and it did pull dye still but only a very
very small amount . I explained I would put an expansion plug where the jet
would be and leave the bubbler line closed to see if pool leaked down any at
that point . I explained there is a therapy jet fitting past the shell of the
pool which is where I thought it was leaking , but to confirm leave the plug in
and line closed for about a week and myself or a service tech would be reaching
out to swap the one broke cap tile and confirm if the water was leaking still (
The homeowner said it seemed like a couple inches every 5 days or so )
***** went to check if water level dropped . *****
said the pool had not lost water and this confirmed the leak was at the therapy
jet fitting ( outside of the interior portion of the pool ) The plug was left
in to stop the leak .
Somewhere around the time of this and the cap tile being
replaced the homeowner said he would no longer talk to me ( Homeowner went to
office and also emailed office ) . I spoke with ***** and office about it being
the therapy jet which is outside of APPR scope of work . I confirmed with *****
if he wanted ****** to reach out as the homeowner disagreed with me. I sent an
email to ****** on 8-1 and let him know I would be sending it. As I seen this
email this morning ****** asked me about it and I reminded him I sent him an
      email on 8-1-22.

       To
note --  on determining the leak is not in APPR scope of work , the
therapy jet is a tee style fitting of sort , that introduces air ( from a
separate line either on the deck or outside of the screen area ) which connects
to the bubbler line via this tee fitting .  This fitting is located
outside the pool before the gunite shell of the pool , under the deck .
Generally, a leak at a therapy jet is due to settling and/or a very small leak
which over time washing the dirt/sand away from the tee fitting and allows it
to sag and further crack .
      us why here...

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved]

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

the jet that used to be in working order before Jim hammered on it to install the wrong fittings and cracking the tiles around the jet is still not fixed. Only the cracked tiles have been fixed thus far. The person, ******, that All Phases Pools sent out in response to my BBB complaint came on Thursday 8/11/22 said that there is not a leak. But the bubbler jet that was broken does not have any “eyes” or fittings that are possible to be installed for the style of jet that it is, and he took those fitting with him, which didn’t fit but had been tried to be installed anyway by Jim.  ****** was unable to fix the bubbler jet on that visit, because he could not see what is broken and causing it to not work.
When can we expect this to be fixed? ****** and ***** are supposed to figure out the next steps to this. We are still
waiting on them to fix the bubbler jet.

      Regards,

      ***** ******
