      On February 6th, 2025, a technician and a manager with Del-Air Heating and Air Conditioning via two different phone calls told me they had to recharge a residential AC system with FREON to detect a leak in the air handler/coil. I paid $347 fee for leak detection. After they were not sure of the leak, they told me I additionally had to pay approximately $1050 for FREON to confirm the leak (7 lbs @ $150 per pound). When I questioned that method, they both assured me that it was the only way to do it. (Its not. Nitrogen, which is almost free and doesn't pollute is best practice)Not only is that poor HVAC practice, its horrible business practice and it also violates *** regulations. I had them cancel all operations on my property and return it to its original ****************** Del-Air Heating and Air Conditioning ************************************* Feel free to contact me for the phone numbers of the manager and technician.I then contacted AC Warehouse. Their worst case quote for finding the leak and replacing the coil was 1/3 of what Del-Air's manager quoted me over the phone.

      Our free quote cost us 99 dollars. They lie to their customers they told us they'd come out and quote us for an add on free of charge then the tech charges me a 99 dollars for their time.

      I am leaving this review here, as there is not a listing on BBB for the office you took over from *** in Vero.The initial complaints are for ARS, Del-Air took over that company.They overcharged me for everything from a new unit 7 years ago ($8,800, discounted from $9,300 for a 3 ton unit, my home is only ***** sq ft, they told me the larger unit would last longer) to every single item I bought, which includes $4,000 for UV lights. Unfortunately, I should not have kept going back, but thought since they did the installation, they eventually would take care of me. They did not. Now the Vero area was taken over by Del-Air. My unit went down this past Friday. I have had a service contract with them every year. Tech came to my house and after 15 minutes diagnosed a "$4,000"! Freon leak. I wasn't happy and he left without fully putting the unit back together. He must have been embarrassed that a Contractor was next door and heard everything and even commented I was correct after. Then I had two companies come the next day, and both gave me estimates of $1,530 & $1,560.

      Very poor customer service, paid for ********************** service and part but the technician did not have it on the truck. After 3 follow up appointments with no show no call, asked to speak to manager. Manager tried to call me once after the 1st no show but I missed his call, called him back left voicemail, no return call. I have called no less than 4 times to get a refund and escalate to a manager, no response. I have been a customer for 10 years. Do not use their ********************** service

      I have a service contract. Gas furnace stopped working and a technician came out and said the control board needed to be replaced and that the office would call me to let me know If they can get the part. This company covers five counties and says they have been in business for 40 years and they are not sure if they can get a part for an 8 year old unit still under warranty? I have called the office for four days and the parts department is not available, and the scheduling team cannot tell me for sure if the part has been found or ordered. I am getting the runaround. I have been told several times now this will be escalated to a manager and still have not received any contact from anyone on whether my furnace can be repaired. It seems that having a service contract with Del Air is a sure fire way to be ignored. This is completely unacceptable service in any industry. They dont seem to care and are not even providing the most basic services or communication.

      The technician once arrived to the house was polite and helpful. He was able to quote and get the job done in a timely manner. Only issue was communication on being late for the appointment. Other than that great service every time we use them.

      Del Air is the best company you could deal with for plumbing and ac. They are reasonable in their pricing and they go beyond standing behind their service and work. I had a back up in my drain line and Jason and Chris came within 2 or 3 hours from when I called Del Air and fixed the back up. This was the day before Thanksgiving. I was surprised and thankful at their quick response and the knowledge of their employees. They absolutely go above and beyond the call of duty.
