      I received a check from Newport group so I could start a rollover with my new company. They made it to the wrong company. I called and complained. They sent me another check and the checks are in two different amounts. I tried to speak to them about it and they said they couldn't speak to me about it because the account was closed. I asked to speak to a supervisor/manager and I was told no! I would like to know why there is a different amount on these two checks. There is a difference of over $1000.

      I've never met a more unconfident business in my life. Once I left my job I immediately started the process because I knew I had to move, I would be moving out of state and I wanted to handle all of this in a timely manner. I filled out all the needed paperwork, had the paperwork notarized by my bank also had my bank fax in and also e-mail in a copy of the paperwork. I set up the appropriate accounts so the money could be rolled into those accounts once the transfer happened or withdraw. And then here's where it all fell apart my address kept being changed multiple times which according to this company requires him to wait seven days and if the address is changed again in the seven days I have to wait another seven days. I received several letters that my physical address or mailing address has been changed. I was not changing it!!! What was happening is every time I change it Newport would go in and change it back to an old address. Once I finally got that cleared up and ask them to please stop changing my address they claimed that I had to wait another seven days for security reasons. Granted it's been a month and 1/2 since this started I was already frustrated and very aggravated by this ridiculous process. At this point I've already talked to about a dozen different staff members at Newport which were almost zero help! I called back as instructed on the 7th day to instruct them to please cut the check, I was told that they needed the account numbers which I provided yet again and the bank information, I did this three times over the phone with three different agents. I got an e-mail saying please call us back further information needed. This process happened four times in one day, I asked to speak to a supervisor because of the issues I was having I was told I could not! I asked to even speak to the team whoever 's cutting the check so I could explain my predicament and dilemma on why this process hasn't happened I was told that is impossible.

      I truly wish I could give a negative 0. They so called mailed my check and never got it, they have no idea where it is. I called and each time got a different explanation which took me for an emotional roller coaster. My chest hurts I have anxiety and I am now Kate with several bills. I never imagined a company could do something like this. I requested a supervisor and never had my concerns addressed by a supervisor. On top on so much pain caused by them due to thinking I would get MY money in timely manner they charge me 69 bucks to overnight the money and guess what it's been a week later and STILL no check I'm still uncertain and to add insult to injury they charge me. I'm unsure if I'll ever get My money but I know for sure Newport group is a scam and if you notice your employer works with them RUN fast. They treat people like trash it feels like they are criminals. I really believe this company is pure evil and needs to be out of business because they can care kess about people.

      This service is dishonest unorganized and almost criminal. I called almost everyday and each time got different answers. I cried , I explained my hardship and stress. I've been hung up on, ignored and giving incorrect information again. I am still waiting for a supervisor to call me. At this this company has caused me more hardship , stress and anxiety. My wish is that Employers stop using them and maybe when they have no business theyll realized how terrible they are. It's truly sad in 2023 a company could do this to everyday people and get away with it. Not on my watch, I will keep fighting until I'm heard. Shame on Newport retirement you are a BAD company.

      The refuse to give you your money when you need it,, they are horrible, this is the work retirement company I was ever forced and yes forced into by my job.

      The 401k is a TOTAL SCAM! The hardship details to withdrawal money is a joke. I wanted to withdraw MY MONEY I PUT IN TO THIS ACCOUNT. And Newport WILL NOT let you draw it out even though you qualify for a hardship. I was told I needed to take out a loan for MY MONEY! What a joke.

      My employer asked me to call them to establish my 401K account. Their customer service is very dismissive & arrogant. Because of their attitude for three days, we couldn't manage to do so. Regardless, even giving the money to them is that hard, it seems to me it is nearly impossible to deal with them when you try to get your money back.
      I guess I am lucky they couldn't set up my account, so I don't have to deal with them in the future.

      This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. I have been working for EIGHT months to try to get my IRA rolled over to my current retirement account. The first time I tried to release my funds they couldn't figure out why I didn't have a request form available. Finally after multiple calls they determined I needed to submit a form. Well that wasn't the correct form. By the time they figured this out I had moved. So then they can't release the funds because my address isn't correct. I fill out the change of contact form. They still can't release the funds. I then fill out the correct application form to get access to my account. Still nothing. By this time I'm married and have a name change. So yet again I have to fill out another change of contact form and another application. I send that in. They finally send a check. It has the wrong name on it. So here I am submitting my documents AGAIN in hopes that they can do something correctly. We will see if I can ever get check to just be done with Newport. Please avoid Newport at all costs.

      Absolutely the worst!!! I received a severe injury. I'm not able to work or do much of anything anymore. Through all of the chaos in my life, I forgot about my 403B. 5 years later, I thought about it and checked into it. They have been taking money from my account for service fees. My money was not growing, it was being eaten up. I decided it would be best to remove it. I'm going on two months now and still getting the run around. Each time, they take 1-2 weeks to review it then come up with some reason why they need the same information I've given them several times now. Then it goes back into review!!! I hope Newport Group gets shut down!!! This is beyond ridiculous!!!

      Just simply trying to log into my account. Answered all question, SS, birth, address, security question, and missed one. I was completely locked out and dealt with incredibly rudely. Ashley and Cathy may be the least accommodating service representative. Then was locked out given no options. I CANNOT ACCESS MY MONEY OR ACCOUNT. The worst financial company I have ever dealt with an advise anyone thinking of using their services to stay far away.
