BUYER BEWARE!!! My 82 yr. old sister bought a Quickie Pulse 6 electric wheelchair from ****** Mobility in July 2024. soon after the chair arriving from ******* to ******** my sister was admitted into a rehabilitation center due to fracturing her pelvis (she also had many other health problems). I live in ****** and was unaware my sister purchased the chair until 3 weeks later. The rehab technicians wanted to teach my sister how to drive the chair but could not get the chair to go at a speed other than very, very slow. My husband called **** and he gave him a phone number to a company who charges $450.00 JUST TO FIND a company who can fix it! I paid a company by the name of Mobility City in ******** (they have been in business since 2016 with a rating of 4.9) $125.00 to do an assessment on the chair. They said Quickie Pulse 6 is no longer in business. The technician said the footplate motor was broken and could have cut the riders foot off! The chair also needed to be re-programed (cause for it running so slow) and the seat was not wide enough and way too high for my sister's size ( **** did not pay attention to the measurements). The technician said that due to Quickie Pulse being out of business the footplate could not be ordered. A new seat would have to be ordered and the chair would have to be reprogrammed. IF the chair could be repaired it would cost $1,000.00 plus. I called **** with the information I received and to ask for compensation for the ***** he sold my sister. He had NO compassion and said that due to it being more than 30 days since purchased there was nothing he could do except give me the same $450.00 phone number! Don't let **** take advantage of your disability and sell you a ***** like he did my sister in her in her last days!!! My sister went into ******* 2 weeks after leaving rehabilitation. Her GREATEST desire was to be able to ride her electric wheel chair! She passed away on October 9, 2024. She NEVER got to ride her electric wheelchair!

I am sorry to hear this review but all stories have 2 sides. We do record all inbound calls here, so I went and listened to the call again. The unit that was bought on 7/26/24 for $3,174 was a Used Quickie Pulse 6. Now this model is no longer produced but the manufacture *************** is in business and has been for over 30 years. We did not get reports of anything wrong with the unit until October which was well over our 30-day warranty period. At that time, we had a report of a broken leg system. We said since this is outside of the period of time where we cover the tech assessment, we put you in contact with a repair company to come look at the unit to see what is needed for repair. Once we had the pictures, we could easily tell that the whole leg system was broken due to some type of force. Its very clear damage that anyone would be able to see with the footplates/ leg system tilting forward and exposed wires that its not how it should be. The unit was shipped to a rehab center and if anything was reported to us that there was damage in shipping upon delivery we would have taken care of it immediately. We were called well outside our warranty period to report damage and there is no way this could happen without the leg system having some type of hard impact. We always offer replacement parts at our cost to individuals who bought from us once its past the warranty period. We asked the tech who came out to get us the full SN on the Unit to be able to price the leg system and we did not get that, we got SN on a part on the unit. The person who left this review also stated the unit didnt go full speed and that a tech that came out said it needed to be fully reprogrammed. This is just not true. We do videos on all units that we have here and attached Is the link to the video review on their item: Quickie Pulse 6 with Electric Tilt, Recline, and Legs - Review #**** ******************************************* Units do not go full speed for a few reasons, the seat is not in normal seating position, the chair is not in correct profile or possibly when the legs broke that it had an inhibit to the unit not detecting legs in normal position. The conversation that I relistened to had the relative of the customer asking for a full refund since it was a lemon over 2 months after it was purchased. Once again we check all units when they come and before we ship them out and nothing was wrong with the unit, and we were not reported of anything for 2 months. The unit is damaged but its very likely this unit was ran into a wall or hard object for the legs to break. We are still willing to work with this customer and get replacement parts at cost but we are not willing to give a full refund for something well outside our policy.
