We took our van in on a Friday and they made an offer of $9,000. I was given a bill of sale for that amount but was told we would have to come back on Monday to get the check. Monday they dropped the offer to $4,000.

One star is too generous for this dishonest company. I highly suggest you have a lawyer look over your contract before you decide to sign anything!

This company is absolutely amazing! When i needed help with my disabled veteran friend i went there and the staff was extremely helpful in helping him choose the correct mobility van and power chair. Thank you again!

I had a bad experience with The Mobility Store between February 3-September 26, 2023. To date, I have not received my money, I have never received an apology, nor have any of my phone calls EVER been returned. I do not recommend this store to anyone, especially the disabled and senior citizens.

On February 3, I went to The Mobility Store and had my scooter lift removed and left it for consignment with an agreed sell price of $1500 minus the $225 consignment payment, leaving me a balance of $1275.

After hurricane Idalia threatened to hit Tampa and surrounding areas, I realized I needed my scooter lift and changed my mind. On August 31 I called to let the manager know I changed my mind and wanted MY scooter lift back. He took my name and number and said he would call back. He did not.

I called back on September 1 and spoke to an employee, again stating I wanted MY scooter lift back. The employee said the manager handled that and took my name and number and was told he would call me back. Again, he did not.

Aggravated that my phone calls were not being returned, on September 16 my husband and I drove to The Mobility Store with consignment agreement in hand. My husband spoke to the manager, again telling him that I wanted MY scooter lift back. He told my husband he could not get it that day because he was the only person in the store.

On September 18 my husband called and made an appointment on September 23 to install MY scooter lift.

On September 23 my husband arrived for the appointment. The technician was not there. When called, the tech said he quit. The manager rescheduled the installation for September 26 at 12PM.

On September 26 I received a call from The Mobility Store telling me that MY scooter lift had “apparently” been sold and that the owner would cut me a check for the agreed sell price. At no time between August 31 thru September 26 was I told MY scooter lift was even being looked at, much less already sold.

I found that the management is not customer friendly at all. Not having any concern for the disabled people, to help find them comfort in their needs whether it is wheelchairs or vehicles or whatever they sell. They are over pricing the equipment that they're selling. They try to be nice but they are not always truthful with what they say. Will not go back and I discourage others not to spend any money they're a waste your time. I give them no stars for anything, but I had to give them one star to proceed with this.

We are a family owned company here at The Mobility Store. We do our best to help every one in need as much as possible. We are also very competitive and flexible with our pricing. Unfortunately, you can't make every one happy in their circumstance. This particular customer used her husband trust to purchase a brand new mobility vehicle.( Yes she was a signer on the trust) no fraud done. In the first few weeks of owner ship the back up battery for the hybrid system in the Toyota was faulty and under warranty. We asked her to have it towed to us so that it could be fixed no cost to her. The customer decided to tow it to a regular Toyota non mobility dealer ship with no knowledge of the conversion and had a sales rep talk her in to purchasing a regular SUV. (Seems like she had this plan already in mind) To us that sounded fish using her husband trust money. Once she did this transaction. Toyota then called our company to sell the vehicle back to us. The whole situation was a little weird. Seems like she wrote bad reviews to cover her tracks for using her husbands trust money to purchase her self a new Toyota SUV with the value of the new conversion vehicles trade. I can tell you this we have been in business for almost 16 years and never had anything transpire like this, as you can tell this is the only bad public review and there is a lot to know about this customer back story.
