I'm pretty sure that Eric, the owner, will have a rebuttal for everything I say here, but I’m submitting this review anyway, since I have nothing but the truth to offer from my direct experience. Currently dealing with limited mobility, I reached out to Marlowe Landscaping for their services. Having invested nearly $8,000 in his landscaping business, I feel I had a right to expect quality product and performance. I do not feel I received either.
    (1) One of the most important things for me was that he would add only freeze-hardy plants, and this was emphasized on at least 3 occasions. Ten (10) plants were NOT freeze hardy and succumbed to a winter freeze. Eric later made a commitment to replace those 10 shrubs, which he did not do.
    (2) Eric was asked to order Sprinter Boxwoods (Buxus microphylla) for 3 front beds--28 shrubs were planted which turned out NOT to be Sprinters, but rather the cultivar Carissa Macrocarpa.
    (3) The crew planted 36 Encore Azaleas throughout the backyard, with normal instructions to plant with root ball only slightly above soil level and mulched. Several azaleas were sitting 2"-3" too high, and many were not mulched at all. By the time they returned to tend to this issue, several plants were already dead, and some were struggling to survive, even with my watering every other day. Sadly, I have lost 15 plants so far, with a value over $825, and several more appear to be dying as I write this review.
    (4) Eric’s crew planted 28 Summer Sunset Jasmine (@ $8.50, total $238). I can barely find 6 of them.
    (5) I recently asked Eric if he could have his crew come and move the Sprinter Boxwood that was planted in the wrong spot (sent photo). He replied that he would have to “respectfully pass on any further work” for me. He has since sent me a check in the amount of a meager $108 and leaving me with much unfinished business.

Eric’s poor customer relations and condescending attitude only add to my unpleasant experience with Marlowe Landscaping.
