    I contracted Oasis Shutters to replace the windows of my apartment for impact windows and when we had heavy rain about 3 weeks ago water pour into my apartment and damage part of my laminate floor, the windows were not sealed or install properly and I had to hire and pay ($700) to another company to fix it because they dont want to take responsibility. They disappeared and when they appeared and I told them the situation they disappeared again.

    To whom it may concern, ******************** did hire our company to replace his existing windows with impact windows approximately two years ago. He recently reached out to our office stating that the window had an issue with the sealant. It is not uncommon specially after two years for the sealant to have damage due to the hot weather and humidity we experience in *******. However, leak does not necessarily mean that it comes the sealant, it could also be the fact that his unit is on the last floor and the water accumulates on the roof and it can sip through the concrete blocks, or it can be a manufacturing defect. The point is we were not able to assess it because he hired company unlicensed in our field (please see attached contractor information) who apparently explained to him that the windows were improperly installed. As you can see attached, his windows were properly installed with a permit, and they passed inspection from the county. Notwithstanding that, the last time we spoke with him I explained we were in the process of relocating our business to give me some time so we could address it and reach some sort of agreement. We did not disappear or reappear for that matter; we were in the process of relocating. We have been in business for more than 20 years. If he has an issue, we are willing and able to work with him to resolve it in a reasonable matter.

    Oasis has responded with the above email so if they take responsibility of at least 50% or more of the expenses they caused me I am willing to close the case, for that I need to make sure they come through with their offer.
