The company repeatedly ignores service requests and repairs despite them being solely related to workmanship and construction by the company. They frequently claim things are out of warranty despite it not being inspected or signed off on during walk through prior to purchase. Their employees have been rude and disrespectful when contacted and show no interest in assisting or finding a solution. Greatly disappointed and have been in contact with VA since I am a retired and disabled veteran.Business Response

We bought a home a little over a year ago with ******. They advertised a pool and a playground. We were told both would be built before summer A YEAR AGO. The pool was just now built. I submitted a request about the playground and was told there are no plans to build this. They have shoved extra homes in empty spaces yet neglected the playground. I and many others bought in the neighborhood because we have kids and wanted a neighborhood with a playground. Lennar needs to stand by their advertised word and build it or lower our HOA. They collected for over a year and just now opened the pool a year late and said no to the playground. There is also a promised park. ***********************************************************************************************************************Business Response

We purchased Lennar home. Home was completed in October 2024. Since then, we have had multiple issues with the doors sticking to frame, not being able to close properly, not being able to open them because they are stuck to the frame. We have had service to adjust the doors, repaint the peeling paint and five months later now, the issues persist and are far worse than even the first time we sent service request. Since our warranty is about to expire, we request that Lennar replace the doors rather than continue to do patch up work that is not solving the issues.Business Response

We appreciate the opportunity to address the homeowners concerns and provide an update on the resolution.
The homeowner initially expressed dissatisfaction with the previous touch-up repairs to the interior doors and did not approve adjustments to the door casing necessary for the installation of the new door. After further discussion, we explained the reasons behind the required door casing adjustments and offered to re-spray the doors to improve the finish.
As of July 8, the homeowner agreed to proceed with the proposed solution. We have scheduled the doors to be taken to an active job site on July 14 for re-spraying and will return on July 16 to install the newly finished doors along with the new door. The homeowner has also agreed to the necessary door casing adjustments.
We consider this matter on track to be resolved by July 16.Customer Answer

We put $8k down for ******* money on a home to purchase. Lennar denied our loan May 6th, 2025. It took 3 weeks to even get a mutual release to sign (finally arrived Sunday, May 25th). We signed it that same day. Now being told we **** get out money back for 3-5 weeks, and thats just the process. We were very quick to send them our money, but somehow overnighting a check or even wiring isnt an option to give us our money back. Why is it everything has to be done extremely quick to please them, but when it comes to getting OUR money back, they cant help us sooner. Why does this process take 2 months from start to finish to get us our 8 THOUSAND back? Doesnt seem added up. This company is worth over $27 billion in net worth, $8k doesnt hardly made a dent. Shouldnt be an issue to offer us a wire to give us our money back, after being pushed to wire the money to them on the first place.Business Response

I bought current new built home from Lennar on 12/27/2024.A series of subsequent repairs occurred which wasted my time and rendered me with the total recognition of a VERY poor quality home builder Lennar Homes is.1) A dead skunk was trapped in between hallway bathtub and the walls which resulted in months of bad odor in the whole house and literally took Lennar months to be really determined to fix the problem 2) Bath towel hanger was loose, shower head with reduced volume ( silicone tape stuck in it ), entry door was not installed correctly thus let in air and dirt. Garage door has let in most critters.3) All doors are not correctly installed let in lots of spiders, crickets and other small critters Almost all door were fixed again week prior to Memorial Day weekend.4) Touch up or patch up paint needed several times. Back patio ceiling paint fading two months after move in ( two months only ) and needed a total repaint 5) backyard lawn collecting water even not with heavy rain 6) Refrigerator with excessive noise which GE serviced two weeks ago, washer and dryer piping not hooked up 7) Front and backyard trees leaning ( Lennar said we needed to complain right before we are doing the final walk through )8) **** is not working ( we turned cooling on last week for more than 2.5 hours, and the temperature would not even drop one degree ( A *** with the builder's vendor )All in all, too many items to list and too much time wasted to talk to their virtual service people, time wasted in receiving their field people and time wasted in waiting for their vendors to come fix thing,We are now requesting these three items to be fixed with the most urgency and we would not tolerate for wasting more time....a) Fix the **** cooling system b) Fix garage door all all exterior doors so no critters come into the house c) Re-brace the front and back treesBusiness Response

Title of ********************* Line Puncture No Resolution Offered Complaint:I purchased a home from Lennar Homes in 05/13/2024 . After moving in, I discovered a punctured gas line that occurred during construction. This created a hazardous gas leak, increased my utility bills, and exposed my family to a serious safety risk.I contacted Lennar Homes and raised the issue with supporting information. Their final response was "we will repair it*, without offering any compensation. This is unacceptable, as the problem was a result of negligent construction. It should have been discovered and repaired prior to occupancy. The company's refusal to take responsibility has left me with financial losses and safety concerns. What I am seeking:Reimbursement for the excessive gas bills incurred due to the leak Written acknowledgment of the construction error Compensation for the safety hazard we unknowingly lived withBusiness Response

I am rejecting this response because:
Thank you for your response. While I appreciate that the case has been escalated to upper management, I am still left without a clear resolution, timeline, or acknowledgment of accountability regarding the original issue. This situation has caused serious concern for the safety and financial burden it created. I respectfully request a detailed update on the outcome of the internal review and any steps being taken to resolve this matter in good faith.I will continue to follow up until a resolution is reached.

The gas leak was repaired in a timely manner once notified. Unfortunately, we do not offer compensation for warrantable repairs.Customer Answer
Date: 06/12/2025
Complaint: 23378791
I am rejecting this response because:Thank you for your response. While I acknowledge that the gas leak was eventually repaired, I must emphasize the severity of the issue and the risks my family was exposed to due to a construction-related defect.
The gas pipe was damaged from the time of the home purchase this was not caused by occupant misuse or wear. As a result, our household unknowingly lived in hazardous conditions, and we incurred significantly higher gas bills for an extended period.
This is not just a matter of warranty-covered repair. This is about accountability and the financial and emotional impact of a serious safety hazard caused by construction oversight.
I respectfully request that Lennar reconsider providing compensation for the excessive utility costs and the danger we were exposed to. Ignoring these consequences undermines homeowner trust and responsibility.
Thank you for your reconsideration.
Sincerely,

I bought a new construction home in ****, **. Lennar charged 2% extra of the sale price for not Closing in time, which wasn't my fault. It was between the sales *** and the ***************** I felt it was a trap and a threat that I would lose ******* money (17k) if I canceled the purchase because I had to pay more $4800(2%x240000). I purchased my first home with Lennar Homes on June 28, 2023. Not all the way happy about how Lennar did things but decent. Later a year and 1/2 goes by and around the beginning of May I receive a knock at my door from Lennar *** *** who advised me that there was a mistake Made by placing my septic tank in my neighbors yard. This was a mistake during the building process that should have never happened in the first place. Lennar then comes back digs up my back yard cut down trees and leaves my back yard useless. They refuse to make things right based on their mistakes which were no fault of my own. All because of poor construction. I was ganged up on by 5 men who came to my house when I was only expecting two. They were rude and advised me they are not doing anything about this after admitting my septic tank field should not be over there . I need help against a company who is not willing to make my back yard look more pleasant due to their mismanagement during the build and now I cannot use my yard due to pipesBusiness Response

I am rejecting this response because: I should not have to incur any expense due to the mistake Lennar made. I should not paying for the damages tree that needs to be removed, the haul away of the torn down trees and I definitely should not have to pay for the damage to my backyard due to pipes that had to be moved from my neighbors yard into my back yard.
