1 starLennar had to fix warped siding and a framing issue. The replacement siding does not match existing siding. They say it is a weathering issue and will chg. They are refusing to honor the VA warranty of Construction guaranty signed at closing. The house is only 2 months old. They also fought me on making handicap accommodations in the bathroom. But finally relented just before closing. They also threatened to not fixing items identified in my home inspection unless I gave them a complete copy of the home inspection i paid to have completed.I am disappointed they are taking the enjoyment away from buying a new home. In my opinion these are not the actions of a reputable company Buyers bewareReview fromDeAnne H

1 starLennar Homes has attempted to steal $27,000 from my elderly, medically compromised mother. We will be pursuing legal action against them for ***** mother didnt even remember signing the original purchase agreement (which was coerced over the phone and "signed" digitally). I was the one who wired the deposit on her behalf. She was in no mental or medical state to authorize the purchase. Lennar requested a doctors note, which was provided promptly. They acknowledged the situation and, over the phone, ******* Shonekan specifically assured her and my grandfather that she would receive a full refund. But after receiving the medical documentation, instead of honoring that commitment, Lennar sent her a document labeled a Cancellation and Release Agreement. Sounds great, right? In reality, it was a deceptive legal contract meant to void all of her rights, including her right to the refund they had just promised. It stated that Lennar would keep all $27,000, and that she would waive any claim or legal action against them, even agreeing not to say anything negative about them. She was ready to sign it, thinking it was a document to get her refund back. Thankfully, I read the document was appalled they would try to deceive her.***** ******** was the Lennar representative who sent this contract, knowingly going back on Goodwins verbal commitment. This was not a misunderstanding. It was a calculated attempt to exploit a sick, elderly woman and quietly make the problem go away through legal entrapment. What kind of company does this? One that is morally bankrupt, manipulative, and only interested in protecting its bottom line. Lennar built this entire process to confuse, intimidate, and trap people who dont have the energy or legal savvy to fight back.Review fromgrace g

I was misled by a loan officer recomended by Lennar when purchasing a home in Myrtle beach SC. He falsely claimed a mortagage infruriy is NOT a hard putll but only recduce my credit by 3 points. It actually dropped over 16 POINTS!! from 816 to the lower than 800. He also offered me a 7.25% RATE!! So I have to switch to a cash purchase, and sold over $400K in stock at a market LOW in April/2025, casuing major financial loss $100K. Then Lennar claimed I owned a $2700 Penalty, later reduced to $600!! I NEVER agreed to this, but they REFUSED TO RELEASE KEYS to my house after receiveng all cash. I was forced to pay $600 under duress after they recived 100% of my cash!! I was required to use Lennar's attroney, creating a clear conflict of interest. This was coordinated coercion and deception and request an investigation and refund!!Review fromKayla and Mike H

1 starThe amount of things we have found wrong with our home is not even a start. From wood nails sticking out everywhere, to broken glass, to paint chips, to staples sticking out of our carpet.... Yes these things can be "fixed", but in a brand new home, you would not think the list goes on and on. However, that is not my biggest problem. The biggest problem to me is how the. construction manager, ****, treats people. There have been numerous times where he has made rude comments, been very defiant about OUR decisions saying we are wrong, and unprofessional. My experience this morning with him was terrible. He put me, and my two kids into tears by yelling at me to fix our garage and move heavy things so they could get a machine inside to do our driveway. Mind you, it was about 7:20am. We had super heavy things, and he yelled directly at me with a VERY rude tone to move it, move my car, and my husbands car (His was in the street already and I guess that was not good enough). When I told him I am not on an email, he rudely said to me and told me to move items and walked away. Another construction worker saw, and came to help. I have NEVER been treated so awful. Mind you, I have small kids inside screaming for me thinking something is wrong. If this was his "first thing" he did that was rude, I would brush it off. But there have been SEVERAL encounters with him now where he has made our journey disappointing. Including when he told me he thought my husband was my son. UM? Where are your people skills? Aside from that, you would think the home was slabbed together in a few days. It is over 1/2 mil and built cheap. During our final walk through when we had concerns, he would say "that's just how it is". The only thing I will give this guy is that those things were fixed. However, I will NEVER in my life be recommending this company to anyone. We have neighbors who have experienced very similar things. Do NOT go with Lennar, especially if **** *. is the construction manager.Review fromBrian J

2 starsWe built and purchased a Lennar home in the Estancia subdivision three years ago. After three years, I feel that I can give an honest review of the lack of quality in the construction of our home. Most of the reset lighting has fallen out of the ceiling, multiple plumbing issues in the bathrooms, all the door screws had to be replaced with longer screws as the door hinges all came loose. Improper door installation throughout the house and the back door had to be completely replaced. Kitchen cabinet issues are ongoing and will need to be replaced.Review fromAbraham S

1 starHey Lennar, mortgage Company and the builders are scammers. They will rip off no matter what they will keep claiming that you guys need additional documents and drag your closing days close and then they will increase the closing cost and your interest rate by the time of closing. you are too late to get your ******* money back or look for a private lender with a better rate. Specially, these loan officers are dishonest and they dont care about their customers. Also, their house is a cheap materials and they dont even provide the shower doors for bathroom or any window blinds for the house. Do you a favor Please dont shop at Lennar house is no matter what. Thank you!Review fromLeona G

2 starsLennar homes did a terrible job in pouring the concrete in my driveway and patio. I was told by the young man who did my walkthrough that he was going to come back and fix the patio but he never did. I closed on my home on December 19, 2024 and as of today I have not seen or heard from Lennar. This makes me have second thoughts about purchasing with Lennar Homes. Ive walked to see other neighbors driveways and their driveways are perfect.Review fromJamison B

1 starI work for Lennar currently as a Construction Manager. No sort of work life balance exists for this company. Youre fully expected to work 60+ hours a week including the drive to whatever community they ship you off to with no regard for your place of living. Theres a community 10 minutes from me that I was moved out of to a community over an hour away, all of this for below the national average salary. Theyve made bonuses smaller, while also making them harder to achieve and management has no interest in helping out their employees unless it negatively impacts them. I wouldnt recommend working here.Review fromMatthew G

1 starLennar is a company that does not stand behind its product, but always seems to find a way to avoid responsibility for poor quality materials or shoddy workmanship. I have a number of cracked and chipped pavers and if you don't report them immediately you are told sorry not our problem. My unit even had a wall switch missing that controlled the lights in one room - not faulty just not put in and the electrical wire for that switch was sitting in another wall. I don't think the home was inspected before I moved in - how can you not notice a missing wall switch to turn on lights. Please understand that if you purchase a Lennar home don't expect the kind of service you get from most builders. When you spend the kind of money that you do today in a home you should expect more. All these one star reviews can't be wrong and they tell a tale of a company that is all sizzle and no steak.Review fromMark G

1 starOne star is too high. Wish I could select in the negatives. Lennar is the definition of **** & *****. We’ve had non-stop issues since the day we closed. No hot water, replace water heater elements, flooding in downstairs bathroom, mismatched flooring when replaced, roof shingles flew off, improper nail placement found on all roof, no documentation or record sent of work done..just a verbals “it’s done”, stove broke..assigned repair team never showed, and customer service reps who send you emails saying you’re scheduled for a repair appointment when the work has already been completed… one after another after another and sometimes overlapping issues. Waiting for it to end, but don’t think it ever will! They should be called Circle Homes with all the corners they cut during building. NEVER BUY A LENNAR HOME.
