What a fabulous INVESTMENT! I love that this was self passed and online where I could work on it at any time. They have a great zoom call each Sunday evening (for NC) which was really helpful. The instructors genuinely care and live the real estate culture. I took the class and passed the course exam the first time and I am not the greatest student, which speaks volumes for the course.The support was also excellent. ****** or **** responded within seconds, it seemed. My fianc and I completed our course in about 3 weeks. REU was a challenging program; it was not difficult, it was incredibly inconsistent. It is a step above just a book for the audio recordings...but that's about where the pros end. Understanding it was one of the cheapest courses on the market, we knew that it was going to be scant compared to the higher priced options. We didn't expect from it was: the brief coverage of important information for the state exam (like statutes), the amount of useless information, availability of graphics AFTER a long text section, type-os galore, testing on material never covered in the chapter/course work, and just outright contradictions from text to quiz. We mainly followed along with the audio recordings. Unfortunately, you are not allowed to move to the next section until their timer ran out. So, after walking through a text section for 15 mins, you would be required to review an accompanying infographic for 8-10 mins. Two problems: infographics are meant to be easily digestible in a matter of a minute or two, AND visual learners benefit from seeing a graphic WHILE a concept is explained, not after the fact. This was frustrating and it caused the material to drag on for no good ********* for the quizzes: answers contradicted the course guidance often and were marked wrong; contained material covered in the following chapter (or not at all); and contained out-of-date policies--so there were things we had to un-learn and re-learn before the state ********, we had a leg up in using this course by doing it together - we could stop, talk through concepts, look up incorrect information. We also cycled through an INSANE amount of external exam prep options before sitting, least of which was REU's exam prep. I took 1 of their prep exams and it tested material they NEVER covered. If I had done it alone, I don't think I would have made it through this course; nevermind passing licensure.Real Estate U Online, LLC

Our courses are state-approved and meet pre-license education requirements in both content and required instructional time. We understand that students learn at different paces, so we take that into consideration when adding the time allotments for infographics, forms and other supplemental material. The timers are a state requirement, so we have them to remain in compliance with state guidelines.
Also, when laws change, there is usually a transition period before state-mandated education materials are revised. We follow the states directives on when to update our syllabus to ensure that the information we teach remains in alignment with what is tested on the state exam.

The course was very helpful and I passed the test on the first try. It was a hard test. It would be helpful to be able to take a practice test before the final exam. Also I wish the modules were truly at my pace. There was always additional time at the end and too much time for the infographics. It was repetitive at times. I knew a majority of the material before I took the course. This course is comprehensive and helpful to those who know nothing about buying and selling real estate.Real Estate U Online, LLC
