      If I could give this company zero stars, I would. My husband had a flight from ***********, CA to *********** ********. Before his flight he was sent an email offering an upgrade for more leg room. He purchased the upgrade for the 4 hour flight and then when he got to his seat there was in fact no additional leg room. So he sat the whole 4 hours with the lady infront of him basically sitting in his lap. Anytime he moved or she moved it was very uncomfortable. When I contact Spirit Airlines to ask for my upgrade charge back I was advised they have to launch an "investigation" into it and it will take ***** days because I will get a response on whether I will see a refund. That is ridiculous time period for a refund. I feel like we've been scammed because we were told the seat would have extra leg room and that was the ONLY reason we paid extra. Not to mention they nickel and time you the whole time you are on the flight. They can't be hurting that bad for money with as many flights as they are running and the increased cost on EVERY flight. I was a Spirit flight member. I've canceled my membership as well as determined I will not fly Spirit every again if I can at all help it.

      Spirit Airline left my 90 y/o mother at the gate for 1.5 hours My mother flew Spirit airlines to the ***************. I always have to order her a wheelchair because she's almost to her 90th birthday. Her flight landed just before 7pm and Spirit had her sitting at the gate until 8:35 pm to be wheeled to the front door.I spoke to the Gate Agent Supervisor **************** at 7:40 and all he was able to offer me is that he ordered wheelchair service. He didn't say when or why it was taking so long. Just that he ordered it.This is absolutely unacceptable! In my opinion it's not only a horrible experience, but a danger as well, because she is passed due on her medication time.I called Spirit Airline and their response was, Ava ******** #**** response to my issue is that 'wheelchair service has been ordered and they will be there soon.

      Spirit Airlines should be fined and shut down. That I know, two weeks in a row, the flight going from ****** to ***** and the one from ****** to ************, on Thursday and Friday, the last flights of the day were delayed several times until cancelled past midnight. They do not care that passengers pay more than USD ****** for Uber rides from ** to the *** airport and back to ** spending more than the flight ticket cost. They have no concerns about where the stranded passengers will stay until the possibility of a next flight opens up, they do not give any explanation or reason for the delay or the cancellation. The airline waits until 10 minutes before boarding the flight to cancel it. They check passengers' bags, cancel the flight, and leave the passengers waiting for hours to claim their luggage. Spirit Airlines has no respect for their clients/passengers, no respect for the industry they work in, and they should be fined, penalized, and shut down. They have become a scam of an airline. The flights I am referring to are NK626, NK3168, and NK1035. I hope the authorities pay closer attention to what has become the usual behavior of this airline, and take definite and remedial actions once and for all. Because all this is happening under the nose of the aeronautical authorities and nobody seems to care for the aggravation that the passengers are being put through. It is a total and profound disrespect. Not even one star should be given to this airline, but the system will not allow me to post the review without choosing a star!

      I flew Spirit on June 11, 2024. When I got to the airport, I saw that my flight had been canceled and rescheduled for the next day, with no discussion with me, because they thought I would not make my connecting flight. I went up to the desk and had to change my flight back to the original. Strike number one.Flight was delayed by hours and my connecting flight was as well. Strike number two.Every agent that I spoke to was unaccommodating and rude. Strike number three When I got to the connecting airport, I tried to ask the agent to the front desk to hold the connecting flight. She yelled at me for talking to her while she was speaking to another person. I apologized, as I did not see that she were speaking to someone, but this was a very timely request. So I ran to the other side of the airport and asked them to hold the flight for other travelers who I knew were physically challenged and would not be able to make the flight by running. They closed the doors anyway, and those passengers had to fight with them to get on the plane. If they had called ahead and tried to coordinate, it wouldve made it much more pleasant experience. I dont even know what number strike Im on at this point.Fast-forward two days later and I had rearranged on my plans and saw a notification that my flight was canceled one hour before it was supposed to leave. They still kept my connecting flight so I had to cancel that. I missed a medical conference and I lost out on thousands of dollars and had to stay an extra night in an hotel and then find my way back to my home airport over the next two days on my own dime. Spirit was unaccommodating and charged me for seat upgrades that I did not use. I dont even know who to call to get my money back.Overall it was a very stressful experience and cost me thousands of dollars, Would not travel with them again. Do not book if you need to be somewhere in a timely manner.

      We traveled to *******, ** on 6/7 leaving BNA, our flight was delayed 3 times, we got on the plane with no problem with our personal bags. We came back home leaving MCO on 6/10 @ 11:41am , well the people at the front desk stopped everyone and told them to place their bag into the personal item bin. My bag fit with no problem once again. They made me pay $79 for a carry on. Now how did i get through BNA but not MCO to come home? The front desk people were very rude asking our names. I remember one of their names was ********. She was a little nice but the woman checking in the tickets was very very rude. They even made this other man pay for carryon as well in which he shouldn't have in the first place also. I was like my money back for that carry on that i should not have had to pay for. I have the receipt and all that. Lets just say I will never again fly Spirit any more. If i could of gave this no stars i would have but i can't. SMH

      Spirit is the worst airline ever. Not only were we late on our way but on our way back as well. I left a bag on the plane they called me and left a message saying it was there. I called back and the number and it said it did not exist. *** spent so many hours trying to get someone on the phone to get my bag and its been a nightmare. I would never recommend them!!

      Horrible service. We initially booked round trip to ******. Before our trip they changed our return flight to a connecting flight. They were 4.5 hours delayed from ****** to ******* causing us to not be able to make our connecting flight. They wanted to put us on a Delta flight the following day. We rented a car and drove from ******* to ****. They will not reimburse us for the rental car, gas, lost wages, holiday, baggage fees Nothing :(

      Have a great day! I had a horrible experience flying with Spirit on May 30th, 2024 from **** to *** in the flight departing at 2:24 pm and arriving at 7:15 pm.. The coordinator of the flight was not helpful or supportive. I was humiliated and mistreated. This experience impacted me tremendously. .At the gate, the crew decided my backpack did not comply with their measures. I didn't feel comfortable with this decision and I expressed it without being rude. I was straightforward forward but I didn't swear. I even accepted to pay for my backpack as a carry-on and I apologize. I mocked and the coordinator of the flight decided not to allow me to board the plane. I had a connecting flight from *** to ****** that same day. But, they gave me a boarding pass for the next day ****-*** and FLL-*********-******. As a result, I had to get a hotel in **** on May 30th and another one in ********* on May 31st for $300 for both. Since we had a hotel reservation in ****** without free cancellation we had to pay for two nights we could not use. It was equivalent to $380 per night.I will spread this in the media. I will make sure that family and friends won't use this airline ever again.

      Terrible experience. TSA stole my brothers shirts and *******! What kind of s*** is that?! These people are supposed to be trusted to go through our things to ensure safety! Not to steal from others. Yall need to look into this to ensure that this mess stop! It's disgusting and ridiculous ??
