      Me enfada tener que llegar al punto de tener que publicar una resea con la ******************** una respuesta de Westgate. Les haba enviado una carta para reiterar el hecho de que Westgate nos extorsion descaradamente a mi esposa y a m. Esto ocurri en agosto del 2021. Nos ofrecieron la oportunidad de disfrutar de cuatro semanas en lo que vendan como un "paraso", solo para ofrecernos una estancia en hoteles de 3 estrellas. Lo que inicialmente prometieron era un pago de $499, cuando en realidad, las cuotas mensuales sumaron ****** dlares ***************. Mintieron al decirnos que podramos disfrutar de nuestras semanas de vacaciones en cualquier parte del mundo. Y dijeron que podramos ganar dinero alquilando las unidades, lo cual result ser una mentira. Mi esposa y yo intentamos desesperadamente cancelar el contrato, y todo lo que me dijeron fue que el contrato es irrompible. No divulgaron esto legalmente, encubrindolo con la documentacin legal que supuestamente firmamos y *****, pero no se nos dio la oportunidad de revisar antes ser firmado. Mi consejo para todos es que se mantengan alejados de Westgate. Son estafadores y dirn cualquier cosa para atraerte a firmar con ellos.

      Warning for others not to become an owner here! Unfortunately, from what I have seen, owners are not treated as priority like they may say when you buy. The level of service and customer care for owners is very poor in my experience. It's a shame because becoming an owner could be a great thing if they just had a better system and if they changed some things and how they sell the timeshare to begin with. But as it stands now being an owner with Westgate is not at all beneficial. I have not seen any of the cost savings on traveling as an owner. If anything I could spend less money and have more options for traveling if I was not an owner. I have also learned that getting out of the timeshare is very difficult and I was locked in for life. And the annual dues increase every year. And those fees are in addition to other fees I didn't know about. Really hard to book a stay too and use the timeshare. I think the worst issue is not being able to get out of it. It's not worth hardly anything to sell and selling it period seems very difficult. From what I can tell there is no market. I have been asking for way too long to ************ back over to Westgate and I keep hearing they won't take it back. I've already lost a lot of money that I've spent on it but after all this I just want out and not to keep paying for it. I really do wish Westgate would just change things with how ownerships are handled.

      Avoid Westgate at all cost!! We were offered a gift to attend a 90-min tour of a Westgate property. We were assured that the tour would include a free breakfast and would be hassle-free. That was a complete understatement. The whole process was a high pressure sales ploy designed to trap us in a contract. Through emotional manipulation, deceptive sales tactics, and misleading information, the sales reps managed to coerce us into buying a useless timeshare. Westgate sales reps assured us that the timeshare's value would appreciate and could be deeded to our children, rented, and even sold for profit. Those were all lies! In March 2021, we revisited with our kids, anticipating a tour and breakfast, intending to discuss the same information presented in 2018 and make a decision about ownership. However, the reality differed. Instead, we were informed that the program no longer existed, claiming we should have received notice of its discontinuation, but we never did. A ***** gentleman joined the conversation, asking if we would commit to buying if they honored the vacation club program price, to which we agreed. In 2022 we attended another mandatory owners update. After a heated back-and-forth, we were presented with a price tag of approx $30,000, including fees, taxes, and other charges. The down payments were substantial, ranging from $3,000 to $3,500. They informed us that our credit had been pulled, and were approved for Westgate credit cards to cover the down payment. This was done without our explicit consent. On our trip home, we decided to call about canceling the upgrade. When we finally contacted someone, we reiterated our desire to cancel, only to be informed that we were beyond the 10-day cancellation window stipulated in the contract it was now day 12. Unaware of the limited timeframe, we explained that we had called on day 5, facing disconnections, and left a message on Monday. Despite our efforts, nothing could be done. Westgate is a scam organization!

      ***************, we regret to read in your correspondence that you have not been able to completely utilize and enjoy your ownership, as one of Westgates main goals is to assist our owners in realizing the full potential of their timeshare ownership. Additionally, we apologize if you felt pressured in any way while attending our sales presentation. Since there may have been offers presented on a first-come, first-served basis, depending on the available inventory, the representative may have expressed some urgency regarding the offer. However,you were never obligated to remain past the agreed-upon time to receive your incentive or to purchase a timeshare. Ultimately, you have the right to inform the sales staff or closing officer of any discomfort to ensure proper action is taken or refrain from purchasing if your concerns are not addressed to your satisfaction.

      Further,please understand that you did not purchase a timeshare during your initial presentation in 2018. Rather, you purchased a vacation package with which you traveled in March 2021. Regarding your claim that you were advised the program you initially purchased no longer existed, we ask you to understand that this is in reference to the price lock of the vacation package. The lock is only valid for 35 months. While sales management can honor the pricing at their discretion, it is not guaranteed that you will be able to purchase a vacation package at the same price.

      As for your concerns regarding the investment potential of your purchase, please understand that if you prefer to sell or rent your property, you may do so on your own. However, Westgate does not have a rental, resale, or buyback program to assist with these endeavors. Further, due to the fact that the timeshare property is deeded real estate, it becomes part of the assets you can sell,transfer, or will to whomever you choose. While you were allegedly informed about the timeshares value, please understand that as it is not possible to validate verbal statements, the Developer must rely on the executed contract documents to eliminate the possibility of any misunderstandings.  As such, be advised that multiple documents disclose that the purchase is based on its value as a vacation experience and for personal use, rather than to acquire an appreciating investment or with resale expectations.

      ***************, with that being said, as no wrongdoings have been found, your contract remains valid and legally enforceable. Please be advised that the account you purchased in 2022, was canceled and refunded. However, the account you purchased in 2021 remains open.       To say we are beyond frustrated with our Westgate timeshare would be an understatement. We feel betrayed and taken advantage of all because we were tricked into attending a mandatory presentation. This all started when, in May 2019 when a salesman explained to us that Westgate timeshares were highly profitable due to their close proximity to **********. This gave us the impression that we would be able to easily rent out our timeshare for a profit to guests visiting the park. In addition to that, we would also be able to use our timeshare anytime throughout the year and could even stay at other Westgate properties. We were also told that we were purchasing a 1-bedroom unit. This is what lead us to purchase, but those were all lies! A year later we booked our first stay. They checked us into a studio unit, not the 1-bedroom unit we thought we had purchased. On one of our more recent stays, we traveled to the Westgate Lakes location. We attended a presentation and were told that we needed to upgrade to a room at the Lakes location because it held more value than the other Westgate locations. She said the reason we had to pay so many fees at other properties was because we werent owners at the Lakes location. After returning home we called their corporate offices to corroborate this information, and we were told that this was completely false. This timeshare is worthless. We never would have gotten involved if they were just honest about everything!

      Cuando compramos nuestro tiempo compartido por primera vez, nos prometieron desde el principio muchos beneficios que an no hemos visto. En el mes de Noviembre de 2021, uno de los trabajadores de Westgate nos ofreci un nuevo contrato prometiendo que solo necesitbamos hacer pagos mensuales bajos que totalizaban $1500 a travs de Interval. Colectaron nuestra informacin personal asegurndonos que esto no afectara nuestro crdito, eso fue mentira. Nos vendieron el tiempo compartido como bienes races y algo que podemos rentar. Intentamos rentarselo a familia, solo para mostrar disponibilidad en hoteles que tienen 3 estrellas y en malas condiciones. Tambin descubrimos en el internet que los mismos lugares en los que podamos quedarnos eran ms ******* all de lo que estbamos pagando. Esto nos enfureci realmente. Nos prometieron acceso a los parques ********* y cmo comprar esto era una ******** y al mismo tiempo podramos ganar algo de dinero. Mi esposo y yo intentamos cancelar nuestro contrato y nos dijeron que no era posible salir de un tiempo compartido. Slvense de las mentiras y prcticas de ventas engaosas. Les beneficiar si guardan su dinero para vacaciones. No acepten sus supuestos incentivos por los que eventualmente pagarn bastante dinero. Ahrrense el estrs y la carga financiera.

      During a trip to *********, I was coerced and deceived by two Westgate salespeople. They assured me that I was purchasing property, that I would own it outright after 10 years, that my grandson could live there while he was attending college, and that I could even use it to earn rental income. At no point did they inform me how this timeshare worked, and I am now experiencing financial hardship because of their lies and coercion. Comparing the costs of the timeshare vs. a hotel, they pitched us a number which I flat out refused. It was significantly higher than what I could afford, and I explained as much. They followed up by stating that this would still be cheaper eventually and would ***** us access to fabulous locations around the world. When they lowered the number, I refused again. I remember asking if my grandson could live there while he was attending college, and they said yes. This was the key to convincing me to buy. If they had explained how frequently I would be able to use this contract (zero times) I obviously never wouldve moved forward with buying it. Unfortunately, that never happened though, and I was convinced my grandson could live there, which seemed like a dream come true. The length of the sales pitch was over 5 hours, and the time we spent reviewing paperwork was less than 30 minutes. I was never told that my maintenance fees would increase over time. I was never told that I could rescind this contract according to ****** law. And I was never told about the stunning lack of availability. Instead of being provided with the information I needed, I was told a pack of lies. I was assured that I would own this outright and could live thereor have my grandson live thereafter I had finished paying it off. This was crucial in my decision-making process, and if I learned that this wasnt possible then I wouldnt have agreed to sign. I feel ashamed that I got involved with this company, but to my credit I was conned. Shame on Westgate Resorts.

      Started my stay put in room 6117a leaky faucet all night, soaking wet floor and white mold growing up all furniture first 3 inches off floor. Changed rooms, second night sounded like construction going on upstairs from 11 till 2am. Called and complained, shortly after security comes to my family's room and rings door **** at least 5 times to tell me there sleeping up stairs. Then proceeded to give me an attitude for wasting there time. The manager ****** then thought treating me like c*** and telling me basically deal with it or leave. Wouldnt stay there again even if it was free. Total nightmare that I'm stuck in for another night of h*** Easter weekend ruined and just a smug attitude and a halfwit apology.

      I paid a $10 fee that would hold my 90 minute appointment which when was over I would get my $10 back plus $150 more for listening to there presentation. I was there for over two hours. I said I had to leave and was not interested in purchasing a timeshare not only did they not give me any money not even my $10. When I asked her how to get to the parking lot because my grandson were waiting for me she walked away from me and didnt look back she would not give me directions on how to get to the main parking lot. I had to walk a round until a young man in a cart gave me a ride to my car. They are rude and so disrespectful. I would never do any business with them and I would advise anyone who asked me to stay away from Westgate Lake Resort and spa

      Timeshare is not the investment the agent described it to be. There is a deceptive practice that is not what they said it would be. Its even harder to get out of and expensive to get out of. This is a financially devastating experience that I would not wish on anybody.
