I contracted George D*** and his business to do a CarPort and a roof to protect some pool equipment so I got two estimates one for each. The Carport for $4,913.87 and the aluminum roof to protect equipment for $2,241.00 and he was supposed to start the job within 3 days of downpayment of 50% . I paid on June 29 2022 $3,577.45. Mr. George D*** was supposed to start the job Friday July 1, which was a no show and he said he got delayed on another project, then there was an i problem with the vendor they got the materials from ant the materials where hold at port, he offered a solution to pay the materials through a different vendor but said didn't have the money to pay for it since the initial vendor didn't want to return the money as they already ordered it and where at the port. My choices where to wait until months to get the materials stock at the port or to pay the new vendor and get the job done within a week, he insisted that could take months and that other of his costumers where doing that to get the job done, so I paid them directly to the vendor and they deducted it from my estimate to pay for materials 2,217.60 on July 28. Then there was a problem with the siding of the roof and he needed $250 to fix it and for materials I paid on Aug 5. Then he started the job but the vendor sent wrong pieces and he needed to order new pieces so he asked for another $900 on Aug 12, then he didi a little more but again there was another piece that was too short and and again he asked for $400 which I paid on Sept 24. there are existing issues with the job I need him to fix, leaking, the roof has wood exposed that he left unfinished, no gutters, there are pieces of metal hanging that were not cut, and I still have the material seating waiting to be installed . I want him to finish the job immediately or get my 50% back total of $3,577.43 I paid 7,345.05 out of the initial estimate of 7,154.84.
