We write this review to expose the scams and lies we have endured throughout our experience with Diamond Resorts and Hilton Grand Vacations. What was supposed to be a free trip, turned into a trap to put us through high pressure sales presentations, in which we were strong armed and swindled into a timeshare contract based on lies and false promises made by their employees. The sales agents ************************* in ******** and *************************************** in **** are the main representatives responsible for such actions. They promised us limitless possibilities and benefits associated with our new Elite status, stating that we were making a ********************** for profit in the future, including saying that Resorts are private meaning they would be exclusive to Elite owners and booking would be a breeze any time of the year, regardless of the destination. Very soon, we learned that to be untrue as the promised destinations were often unavailable and we were soon met with an unexpected increase in maintenance fees. In 2020, we also had a financial hardship that has significantly impacted our ability to pay for maintenance fees, let alone get to travel or use our membership. Hilton Grand has been made aware of this and we have yet to hear back or be acknowledged by them. We hope this raises awareness among the public in general and generates a response from Hilton Grand Vacations as we only seek to cancel our membership and dissolve our contract with them.Hilton Grand Vacations, Inc.

All of these facts are available in written emails. We purchased a HGV package and even paid more to stay for a few extra days 3/27/24 - 3/31/24. HGV gave us a list of ******* properties to choose from. We chose one in writing (Signia), but they booked us at one we never considered. After this "mistake" was discovered by me, they booked us at the location we chose (Signia). But, they booked a KING not the two queens we agreed to in our package. Again, once discovered by me, less than 2 weeks from travel, they told us "Sorry, the 2 queens are sold out". Well, with 3 first class plane tickets, 3 ****** days and one hard sell TIMESHARE day planned, I told them to SHOVE their HGV package. I EASILY booked 2 queens at the hotel they said was "sold out". Cost me $1000 more, but rest assured they can **** on their hard sell vacation TIME SHARES. As an affluent American, they shouldn't be annoying the people that can afford their products. The ONLY remedy HGV offered was to refund my package fee. There's "hospitality" for you. Considering closing my Hilton Honors membership too.Hilton Grand Vacations, Inc.

1 star**Hilton Grand Vacations: From Trusted to Terrible Customer Service**As a member since 2011, when it was still Diamond Resorts, my family and friends have been loyal patrons of Hilton Grand Vacations (HGV) for decades, dating back to the 1990s. Unfortunately, our experience with HGV has drastically declined, particularly in the realm of customer service. The customer service provided by ******************** is appalling. They are unresponsive to calls and emails, and when an escalation request is submitted, they fail to follow up. Their lack of action in processing necessary items results in the member being unfairly penalized.I used to recommend HGV to anyone considering a timeshare, but that is no longer the case. Moving forward, I will make it a point to never speak positively about Hilton Grand Vacations again. Instead, I will start referring my friends, family, and clients to ******* and ******* Destinations, where they are likely to receive much better service.Review fromAlexis M

We are a family of 6, that bought into the Hilton Vacation Clud and the person on the phone said we fit in a 1 bedroom. So I was amazed at the price and went along with it. To find out later a 1 bedroom does not accommodate 6 people and needed a 2 bedroom. I explicitly said I dont go nowhere without my kids because she tried to sell me on just a vacation for my wife and I only. Long story short when I checked their website it caught my eye that I needed a 2 bedroom, so I called thinking it was a mistake. They want to charge me extra money for the 2 bedroom. I told them I bought it because the lady sold me a stay to fit my whole family if not I wouldn't have bought it. If i cant get the up grade i want a refund because i was deceived into buying something that was false. She tried to sell me and up grade at half off, but it is still too much for me, I am a disabled veteran in a fixed income. She then said check your receipt there is no refunds. I told her to check the recorded phone call of June 24,2024 at 245pm it's all there that way, there's no he said she said and no doubt on what was sold. She put me on hold to talk to a supervisor to review the call. I was on hold for 1 to 3 minutes. She came back and gave me a refund. How did they review a 30 to 45 min phone call in 1 to 3 min? Hilton is dealing in bad a illegal buisness tactics. Deceiving the people into buying something that is false to later charge them more to correct the problem. Thank God I called to verify everything before time. What if I didn't and was at the counter ready for the stay to find out everything was false and have to pay more then what I was promised. I'm a disabled veteran and it's sad to see how hilton treats its veterans. God only knows how many people were forced to pay more the last min just so there family has somewhere to stay especially if all surrounding hotels are full.Hilton Grand Vacations, Inc.

To all who read this, dont get sucked in by a free gift from Hilton Grand Vacations! To start with, we never received the free gift that was promised, instead we were lured into attending a Hilton Grand Vacations 90 minute presentation that ended up being 4 hours! It was 4 hours of being pressured into purchasing something that we didnt really want. Hilton sales staff were relentless, and they just wouldnt take NO for an answer. After we declined an offer what they would do is leave and then come back with another Better offer. They came at us with different salespeople and some that would come in to interrupt just to say what a great deal we were offered from their off market inventory, then, they would bring in a different closer or supervisor. They had an onslaught of different employees coming after us. After the 4th or 5th offer and dealing with the false sense of urgency that was bestowed upon us, we finally agreed. So then, we met with another person who basically rushed through the contract and just told us where we needed to sign. They failed to disclose things like our heirs would be responsible for our Balance and Maintenance fees FOREVER. They failed to disclose that our legal right of rescission per Florida Law was 10 days. They even failed to tell us that they ran our credit and that the down payment was going to be placed on a new credit card established by Hilton on our behalf! They also led us to believe that this purchase was an investment. They explained that this was a real estate purchase and Timeshare had value and to give us peace of mind, they told us they would buy the timeshare back from us if we decided we no longer wanted it. That was also a lie. We wish that we never went to that presentation for that Free Gift. To Hilton Grand Vacations, if you read this review, please do the right thing and cancel our contract with you.Hilton Grand Vacations, Inc.

My wife, my mother-in-law, and I recently went to a HGV timeshare presentation in *******. My wife and mother-in-law signed us up for it to get a discount on a Luau and were told we had no obligation whatsoever. All we had to do was go to the presentation and if we didn't want to sign up for anything it was totally fine. Well, we had one of the staff there tell us about everything and after around 2 hours the sales manager came into the room. To start with, he was rude to his coworker and basically asked her why he hadn't properly introduced him and gotten him up to speed with what we had discussed. The woman who we had been dealing with was very professional and polite but the sales manager was abrupt and rude. He told us about the pricing and we told him "We're going to have to think about it.". We were just being polite because it is obvious this timeshare scheme if far more costly than regular vacations, it is set up so you pay all the expenses on a property in perpetuity, and it's also set up so the average "owner" only gets one week of vacation a year (since you "own" 1/52 of a property), and according to all the reviews I've seen, all the good spots are taken/booked years in advance. In any case, the manager said, "We are all adults here. "We'll think about it." means no.". He then went on to harangue us about how busy he was, how we had wasted his time, etc., He told us, "You can't come back later and get this deal because it won't be available then.". At which point I got fed up and told him, "Don't worry about it. None of us are actually interested in your timeshare and we never will be.". We were seen out after that. In any case, I can't believe Hilton would allow its name to be associated with a low-rate company like this. I don't mind sitting through a presentation on something like this but I also don't expect to be insulted at the end. It turns out that Hilton Grand Vacations is a bigger embarrassment to the Hilton name than *****.Hilton Grand Vacations, Inc.

Bought a $111 Hilton grand vacation package. I was told no blackout dates I could use it at any time. Im requesting the dates in June for late Aug / Sept and Ive been told its unavailable until basically the winter when its no longer beach season. This was a total scam and as a longtime Hilton Honors member *** decided to take my business elsewhere.Hilton Grand Vacations, Inc.

My husband and I have been HGVC members since purchasing in 2006 and I have never been so unhappy as we have been since the buyout of Diamond Resorts. I have been booking two vacations a year since we purchased, and I have never had issues finding inventory like I have since this merger. It is virtually impossible to find inventory at any desirable resort if booking less that 6 months out. Forget booking over a holiday, unless you can sit on your computer the day the 9 month booking window opens, and then maybe you'll have a chance to get a room. We have been traveling to ******* over Thanksgiving week for the past 10+ years. I typically book my HGVC resort 3-4 months in advance as that seems to be when flight prices are the best. Now, since the merger, I can start looking 6+ months in advance and not find a single room over that holiday. I have sat through numerous owner's preview tours where they show you all this new inventory as a way of trying to get you to spend additional money on more points, only to find out that you will never have a chance of getting a room at these locations unless you buy into that specific property. I believe there are over a dozen resorts in ******* alone, yet the average owner will only find inventory at the 4 ******* properties and possibly *****. In my almost 20 years as an owner, I don't think I have EVER come across a week available at any of the resorts along the Coast of *******. Also, I remember when we purchased, we were told the number of points to stay in a specific size unit will never change. Well, they scammed owners here by building new resorts that only have "plus" and "premiere" rooms so they can charge more points for those rooms. So, while yearly maintenance fees continue to climb, the resort availability has tanked. It's easy to see why the company has 1.1/5 stars on 872 reviews. I'd love to dump my membership, but it's worth nothing to *********** have 20 years of maintenance fees invested.Hilton Grand Vacations, Inc.
