Scam. Holiday Inn does not live up to their own standards and they dont do anything to fix their own mistakes. The policy on their website clearly states that you have to be 25 to attend their meetings, however I was 23 and they didnt bother to verify my age and they didnt do any kind of credit check. They said if I couldnt attend their meeting that day Id be banned from future meetings. I was a young college student and I feel they took advantage of me as a young woman. There was no explanation of how serious a timeshare purchase is. The salesman actually told me that I didnt have to pay it and nothing would happen as long as I paid the maintenance fee. If they had done a credit check they would have seen immediately that I was unqualified. How can they hand out mortgages without checking credit? Since I found out about their age policy and the REAL impact of not paying, I followed up with them and was told everything is my fault and they dont care. Mr. ***** actually admitted that they purposely do not tell people in the meetings that the maintenance fees will continue to go up and I have proof of this in his email. They violated their own policy, they admitted to withholding information about fees increasing, and they wrongly advised me that nothing would happen if I couldn't pay it. Not to mention the timeshare is really hard to book but they told me I could use it all the time. I had to exchange points for car rentals which actually makes it more expensive.

Please, do. I want to cancel immediately. **** Dimes even told me himself that sales purposely does not tell people their maintenance fees will go up. Between that and sales telling me nothing would happen if I didn't make the payments, Holiday Inn personally has caused financial issues and put me in a situation I shouldn't even be in because they should have checked my ID at the door.

Please do, I want to cancel right away! **** Dimes himself told me that the sales team deliberately withholds information about maintenance fee increases. On top of that, sales reassured me that nothing would happen if I missed payments. Holiday Inn has personally created a financial burden and a situation I shouldn't even be in because they were not responsible enough to have checked my ID at the door.

We were contacted by Holiday Inn Club Vacations due to us being IHG card carriers. We were promised a vacation package in **************** in exchange for listening to their 2 hour timeshare presentation. The deal, which I have via the notes I took during the call, and in an email confirmation, was we pre-paid $279 for 4 nights. After the presentation, we'd be given $179 in cash plus 20k IHG points. The $179, we were told, was "to cover the local taxes and fees". So, we'd be expected to pay the taxes/fees, but would be reimbursed $179 in cash, which, again, we were told "will cover the taxes and fees". Well, we were charged $302 for taxes and fees. That's over $75 per night in taxes and fees. If we'd have known it was going to be that high (on top of the $279 we already paid), we would not have done the deal. (We did not sign up for a timeshare, but we did sit through the presentation.) It ended up being over $100/night. We can get a room in **************** for $100 a night pretty much any time, so this was not a "deal" at all. Also, when we booked with the *** over the phone, our stay was to be at Bally's. That's what I wrote down in my notes. When we received the email confirmation, it had us at a different property, away from Stateline (meaning we'd have to drive everywhere and park, instead of everything being within walking distance). I called, they apologized for the mixup, and assured we were now booked into Bally's. A week before the trip, I got a text asking me to text Y to confirm our stay...at the OTHER property. I called back. They were "very sorry", but Bally's is "now fully booked, and there's nothing they can do". It was a total bait and switch. We stayed at the Beach Resort, which wasn't much of a resort. The fi***lace in our room was broken, and the on-site sportsbar/cafe was crappy microwaved food.

Our packages are deeply discounted because we know that vacation time is precious.  For those interested in learning about our Club and benefits,it can be a great alternative to prevailing rates.  Were sorry to hear of the trouble and have asked the team to get in touch.  Thank you for sharing your comments.

Such ** Holiday Inn!! After upgrading our timeshare (for more points) - I booked a few vacations on line. instead of taking from my 2023 points that were going to expire, the system took from my 2024 points. So come November 2024 I had over ****** points that were set to expire which made no sense because I still have 4000 left over from 2024. After trying to reach customer service and being on hold for over an hour each time, I decided to email them. I got unacceptable responses each time. I requested a phone call from them twice and they never called back and I stressed that it was time sensitive since my ************************************************************ It just makes absolutely no sense that I went on several vacations in 2024 and my 2023 points went unused and expired. Meanwhile, I still have ***** 2024 points left over. no one has an answer and now I have over ****** points that I cannot use. Not to mention, we were enticed by the three free nights a year as a bonus that for two years, we were not able to use because you have to book within 60 days and every place that I tried to book was not available so that is a total scam!!! I am very disappointed and I will never be upgrading again. Save your money!!!

Went to listen to their pitch over the weekend. The day before, as we were staying there, I got a call that my father had gone missing, so we were up all night dealing with that. After the pitch I explained I couldn't commit because we needed to find out what to do with my father (if we took him in there would be no time/money for vacations) and the fact that the company I work for is being acquired by another and often that leads to layoffs. I told the sales woman this 10+ times, and and at one point she said "ok, let me check on your gift" (deposit refund) and then came back with someone else who I would tell another 5+ times I couldn't commit. At one point the sales woman said "Assuming what you say is true, still don't you feel you deserve vacations?"It was traumatic enough finding out my father drove to another state and got so confused the police had to take him to the hospital, but to then to not accept we couldn't commit and outright imply we're not telling the truth is unacceptable and inexcusable. I worked for ******** several years ago, and from what I saw they didn't treat people that bad (although they are infamous).

Sales team provide misleading information . Is a trap. After almost 3 hrs agents promote a false statement he said that you will have better rate in holiday in hotel . When I contacted the holiday in hotel they told me they no connect to club vacations. The the horizon customer service was the most rude person i ever meet . And basically said i have to paid legal fee and give all the fund already paid to them . How the state and legal officials permit this kind of scam in *** . I never use it and the only i want is cancelled and get my funds back .

I cant get them to help me. I started Holiday Inns deed back paperwork in 2020, filled it out, paid and sent everything to them. Holiday Inn then stopped all contact. I have not been able to get any updates as to what happened to the deed back, if it is still in progress almost four years later, or why it was stopped. Holiday Inn instructed me to pay all of my 2020 fees, which I did, and not to pay any subsequent ********. It hasnt been used in any way since before I started the deed back. I am very hard of hearing and phone calls are very difficult for me. The people I have been able to email Holiday Inn will not give me any explanation of the process or why it was stopped. They told me I need to call, even though I have explained a few times that calling is very hard for me. If there was a piece of paperwork missing or something else I needed to complete, I would have thought Holiday Inn would have notified me at some point instead of letting me fall between the cracks. I do not feel they are being reasonable or accommodating. I did my end of the work, they need to do theirs. ***** Leon ****

Beware the absolute nightmare that is Orange Lake Resorts! Our family was viciously trapped in an eight- hour sales nightmare of pure manipulation, orchestrated by predatory salespeople. What began as a promised one-hour tour turned into an exhausting ordeal of lies, pressure tactics and emotional manipulation that ultimately forced us into signing a timeshare contract filled with nothing but broken promises and deceit. They lied about everything from pet policies, ****** discounts, investment potential- and even had the audacity to pressure our daughter into signing a document she knew nothing about. After we attempted to legally cancel our contract through proper channels, sending a cancellation letter via Fed-Ex, the resort has done nothing but ***** our legitimate request for termination and refund. They received our cancellation on 5/30/24 and have since stonewalled every attempt to resolve this issue proving they care nothing for customers rights or ethical business ************ anyone considering a timeshare with Orange Lake Resorts: RUN! Save yourselves the financial nightmare, emotional stress, and hours of frustration we've endured. This company is a predatory trap designed to steal your money and peace of mind with salespeople who will stop at nothing to make a sale!

I called Holiday ******** Resorts on 01/18/2024 to cancel my timeshare. Mortgage has been paid off for several years, been on paying maintenance fees which have gone up numerous times over the years. Have not used our timeshare in years. I paid the $1200 processing fee and $1619 maintenance fee for the year, all upfront. Was given case# and was email information to fill out. Then received forms that have to be complete and notarized. The forms they sent had incorrect information as to what I originally completed, it took several phone calls and resending forms back to Horizon to have corrected, this took almost 3 months, because of their errors. Finally August 15, they received all the forms and verified that they received. I called every 2 weeks and was given the runaround that it was being reviewed, in recovery, call back in 2 weeks, it has been escalated, it has been recorded. These calls and conversations has been going on from August until 11/21 where I was told it has be escalated AGAIN, they will call me back by 11/26 with an update. I called Horizon back on 12/10, mid-day and was advised office was closed for the day. Called back 12/13 at 10:36am and was advised office is closed for Holiday, I did not know that Friday the 13th, was a holiday and to call back tomorrow. I just want this closed out and want my deed showing that this Timeshare is canceled.I Refuse to pay any maintenance fee starting January 1st 2025. I even told the multiple individuals that i called over the past 11 months. IF this is not resolve immediately, then you will hear from my attorney and will asked for more than my processing fee, maintenance fee.

But we understand that families grow and change, and that some may eventually decide to relinquish their vacation time. Were sorry to hear youve been frustrated with that process so far and have asked the team to reach out to you. Thank you for sharing your comments.

AVOID Holiday ***************** at all costs - it's nothing but a deceptive scheme wrapped in false promises. My nightmare began in 2015 during a visit to **********, where they couldn't even put us in their timeshare property as promised. Instead, they stuck us in some random hotel just to subject us to their first manipulative sales pitch. The real disaster started in 2016 at Orange Lake. After enduring a grueling 3-hour sales presentation, we foolishly purchased a timeshare based on a web of lies. They painted this rosy picture of unlimited access, no blackout dates, and easy booking at Holiday Inn properties worldwide through ***. What a joke! The reality? Try booking anything less than 6-12 months in advance, and you'll find nothing available. When you do miraculously find availability, it's usually just for a night or two, forcing you to pay out of pocket for the rest of your stay. So much for those "valuable" points they sold us!In 2019, they convinced us to upgrade in ************ with more empty promises. They claimed we'd get dedicated concierge service and access to European resorts, particularly in *****. Guess what? The concierge service never materialized, and those Spanish resortscompletely inaccessible unless you book 1-2 years ahead - a crucial detail they conveniently "forgot" to mention during the sales pitch. This whole experience has been one big bait-and-switch. The salespeople will tell you anything to get you to sign, knowing full well they won't deliver. They're experts at hiding the fine print and glossing over the real limitations of membership. Save yourself the headache and thousands of dollars - stay far away from Holiday *****************. It's nothing but a glorified Ponzi scheme masquerading as a vacation investment.
