      I traveled to the Myrtle Beach location and sat for almost three hours listening to L tell me about the benefits of purchasing a timeshare with HIVC. I explained to L and her manager that I couldn't commit on the spot and wanted to do a little research. Boy, why did I say that?! This woman proceeds to badger me all while telling me not to mistake her passion for pressure. Go figure!! All I wanted to do was take a little time to read online reviews other than the ones on the HIVC website. I will admit that I was 90% impressed with what I heard from L and was about 95% committed to purchasing... UNTIL... I was explaining again that I wanted to do a little more research and Ms. L decided to cut me off mid-sentence and blurt out was DONE! I called her out on her BS and she tried to give me a half a** apology by saying "I'm sorry if you felt..." and then wants to tell me "God bless" as she was leaving the building. Needless to say, HIVC missed out on a genuinely interested buyer but they lost because of Ms. L and her nasty attitude. Now, I'm in search of another timeshare to purchase to benefit my family.

      So I got rid of my "property" about 6-7 years ago. I go to refinance my house and I find they have reported this timeshare in REPOSSESSION from June 2019 to June 2021. I have not owned or been affiliated with them at all since about 2016. This is screwing over my credit. DO NOT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE SCAMMERS!!!

      Our family of 7 has been loyal IHG rewards members for over 15 years. Tonight we booked 3 hotel rooms at Holiday Inn Express through the IHG reservation line. After the call, we were offered an opportunity to book a time share resort tour in Williamsburg through Holiday Inn's vacation club. We paid $279 on our credit card and were promised a four day stay at the Colonial Williamsburg property. We were told that the policy requires 7 day advance booking, but that they made an exception for checkin tomorrow, 4/18/23. After paying, we were told that we would be transferred to the property to select our room (and possibly to upgrade to a larger room because we had 8 people total in our party). I then sat on hold for 53 minutes before becoming frustrated, hanging up and calling back. After three attempts to resolve the issue (each time I was told that a suoervisor would call back in a few minutes), I was eventually told that the first person lied to.ke and there were no rooms available in Williamsburg. We gave up our other accommodations in Williamsburg in the meantime and finally were promised a refund of the $279. That was charged. I asked for a supervisor and noone responded or called. IHG has gone downhill over the past decade. All buyers beware of their bait and switch tactics. We have two IHG Priority Rewards accounts and will be canceling both and booking Airbnbs or other more reputable chains from here on. BUYER BEWARE - Holiday Inn Vacation Club!

      I bought this timeshare with cash,in Texas, over twenty years ago. The reason? To get the bonus time benefit because we lived in Texas and that made it worth it. Then a few years ago they just totally cut out the Bonus Time that I had paid for and was promised would last a lifetime.
      Now they are selling ALL their Texas properties. Most of us who bought in to Silverleaf (before Holiday Inn took over) bought in Texas,
      because of the Texas prosperities. We have been loyal and kept up our payments for 25 years. This company has taken away everything we were promised. If there is a class action lawsuit I would love to join it. I want OUT. Without any penalty.

      We have owned ours for years. We want out and they want $1200 to draw up a deed to deed it to them, I work for a title company. It is normal for $150, but they say the can charge what they want. They also want hoa fees paid up for a year, even though they will get money from the new buyer. That is wrong.

      Terrible customer service wait times, never have avalability at their own resorts and is best used for RCI reservations. Just go get an RCI timeshare, stay away from IHG. I unfortunately am an owner, and would not recommend anyone else "invest" in their future vacations with this company,

      This is an absolute scam. They glide over important details and refuse to give anything in writing until afterward. When I got the full terms and conditions and said I didn't want the package, they were incredibly rude. They told me I could email for further resolution. The email generated and automated reply saying it would take 7-10 days for them to respond. When I called to follow up, they claimed they had responded to say I could not get a refund, but they didn't actually send that email.
      Horrible company and I will never stay at a holiday in property again.

      After I made my complaint and called back customer service to let them know I was aware of all of the complaints and lawsuits, they refunded my money back. Thank you

      I booked a cruise through their cruise departure. Due to a missed connection we couldn't make the cruise. NCL refunded $458.40 to them . They were supposed to forward it to me. They told me it would come from Ncl. They wasn't true. I have called numerous times and keep being told there working on it. Passed every date they have promised. Worse service I have ever had. Even tried to tell me they didn't have it yet until I gave they the date nov 11 and account NCL sent it to.

      I’m reading through these recent reviews and I have to say it’s like I’m living the last two days of a nightmare that I had with the reservation people all over again. I was told when I was manipulated into buying into this “promotional” vacation package that it would be so simple and easy to book the vacation. Well it has not been, it has been a nightmare! I asked to speak with a manager several times yesterday and the lady on the phone told me that I didn’t have a valid reason to be put through to a manager! I’ve never in my life have had a person on the phone when I’m calling into a company with concerns that I have, that my reasoning wasn’t valid enough in her opinion to speak with a manager. I think it’s time that we come together and start a class action lawsuit against the holiday inn vacation club aspect of this company. Nothing but a scam and liars! I reached out to a lawyer yesterday because at this point I just want my $279 refunded to me, but seriously if anyone else is reading my review I believe a class action lawsuit maybe be the next step and the way to go. Then maybe this company will start being up front and honest instead of scamming everyday hard working people that would like a small break from their everyday lives by going on a nice getaway.

      Run don’t walk. Everything the salesperson tells you is not true. Very difficult to log in website keep getting locked out. Try calling and very long wait times. Would love to count my losses and just give back but they won’t take it back. Very disappointed in the Holiday Inn name.
