      If Holiday Inn workers approach you and ask if you want to be entered in some sort of contest to win a free trip, DO NOT DO IT! It is a thinly veiled way to lure you into sales meetings and pressure you into purchasing a timeshare. This is exactly what happened to me. I was approached by someone at a festival who asked me if I wanted to enter a contest for a free trip to Las Vegas. Sure, that sounds amazing, but all that has led to me being lied to, losing over $10,000, and being stuck in a lifelong contract that never ends. It is outrageous the measures these people take to lure you into their trap. If this is not illegal, it’s a very fine line. I fell for their tactics and scams, but I want to do what I can to make sure that this does not happen to others. Stay alert and far, far away!!

      IT IS A SCAM. I bought package but wasn’t told about the fees and required presentation I needed to attend to get a refund. Also, I wasn’t sent the eligibility and requirement information until AFTER I bought the package. A lot of important information was left out during the call. A refund would be nice but you’ll find out after purchasing the package that it is non refundable. Changing destinations is also a $20 fee they don’t mention.

      I have attempted to contact the customer service department through the email address provided by the representatives. Despite my request for a refund, the phone representatives informed me that it must be submitted in writing. On March 2nd, 2023, I sent an email to the provided address, but have only received an automated response indicating a response time of up to 10 days. As of April 4th, 2023, I have yet to receive any further communication. I am deeply disappointed with the lack of follow-up from this company and their sales tactics, which encourage the purchase of "great offers". I intend to inform others of my experience and discourage them from doing business with this unreliable company.

      I was called to purchase a time share. We get there and say we are not qualified and yet the recorded call they said we were. They listened to the recorded call and said I didn’t answer their questions correctly. I told them I want to hear the call and they said they can’t share that. Didn’t give us tickets or cash promised. Complete scam!

      What an absolute scam. Got duped into a 'free' vacation as long as I sit through a timeshare presentation. I'm no dummy, I've been to these before. I let them go through their presentation then politely decline and leave. Aside from wasting a couple hours of my vacation, it's always been fine. I get to stay at a nice resort for next to nothing and the family gets a nice get away. What has never happened until now is I get promised a quality resort then booked at a basic limited service hotel. When I contact HICV, all they were willing to do is throw $100 at me to make me go away. At this point, we are too close to arrival to do anything else so I asked for something as simple as the ability to use the amenities at the resort during my stay. The person I spoke with would not even run that up the flag pole, she just gave me a "They won't do that" response and that was that. Do not trust this company and their 'bait & switch' tactics. I was straight up lied to by the sales person and the company was unwilling to do anything to make things right. There's a reason IHG rebranded over 100 of their hotels to Sonesta, because the quality is about the same...garbage.

      They charged my credit card after bring disconnected 10 times. They never got an actual yes because we kept losing each other. They went ahead an took it off my credit card. Someone called me few days after I complained an I told him to cancel it put it back on my credit card been almost a week an still hasn't been put back on my card. If you ask me it's a scam an they just take your money without getting an actual yes! Call must of dropped 10 times or more. Not great service! Not pleased at all!!! Still haven't heard back.

      We have tried over and over to use our timeshare points and again and again, the places we want are always full. We were told on the phone we should book 10 months out, but our points will be expired by then.... but wait, we can pay $150 to extend them for 6 months. We pay $900 yearly in maintenance fees (started sub $500), $70 every time we book, among other fees that are never talked about. You can stay at a nice place for a week for that much. You can't stay a week at 90% of their places with the points you get. RIP OFF
      During the extremely pressured sales pitch (see Kristin C below), I was told I would be able to sell the share of the mortgage back to holiday inn later, that is not the case. I can't even sell it to someone else because of all of the lawsuits. My mortgage is completely paid off and I am seriously considering simply giving it back.... oh, can't do that either.

      I purchased the package in 2022, and I have not even used it at all. I finally try to book a vacation and use my points, and I am unable to do so. I spoke to 4 "vacation counselors" on the phone who were incompetent, could not answer questions and if they did answer a question, it was a lie. All 4 agents gave different dates and deadlines for the points. I called back to request to speak to a supervisor and the agent REFUSED to let me speak to a supervisor. I cannot believe how unprofessional these people are. Furthermore, I have purchased something that is not even usable. I have NOT even booked a single vacation with it, and these people are not even trying to help me. WOW.

      Absolutely disgusted by this program. We were basically forced to attend a program and we were told it would only last 90 minutes. We were there over 2 hours and I felt we couldn’t leave. We said no several times and they would just send someone else to the table trying to force us to purchase the package. I ended up in tears as I wanted to leave and enjoy my vacation as we were only there for two full days. I will not be purchasing this program ever and now will never be staying at any Holiday Inn in the future due to the poor treatment.
