I travelled to Florida for vacation. The hotel I was staying at offered a $150 voucher if we go tour their properties. I ended up taking the tour. Once the tour was completed I was pressured into signing up for their plan otherwise they’d accuse you of wasting their time which puts you in an embarrassing situation in front of your family. To get out of the situation I signed up because sales representative there told me I’ll have 15 days to cancel if I chose to op out. The whole thing was a set up to lure new customers and trap them into signing up.
I signed up on August 16, 2022 and called them on August 26, 2022 to cancel it within 15 days time allowed to cancel. Later on I texted Ben to cancel the membership. Again followed up with Ben on text on Aug 27 and Aug 28 and I was under the impression that it has been cancelled. They were using delaying tactics to pass through the grace period and after 3 days asked me through text to send them email which I did on August 30, 2022.
I was sure that everything they have asked for has been done and the membership has been cancelled.
But to my utter surprise few months later I started receiving letters to pay their down payment. I contacted the portfolio services this time directly because I had their number from the letters received. They informed me that they never received a request for cancellation. I sent them all conversation receipts but they refused to help because I’m already in their system.
Neither did they return the payment I made when I signed up nor did they take me off their record.
Today to my utter surprise and shock I checked my credit report. It has brought my credit score down by 120 points.
In all they are scammers and play with people sentiments and trap them to sign up and make it almost impossible to cancel it, later force them to pay and build pressure by putting their dues on Experian.com and destroying the credit.
It is a very fraudulent practice and must be stopped forthwith.Vistana Signature Experiences

We own three Vistana timeshares. They are so shaddy. Cancelled our arrival to the Westin Kaanapali because of the Hawaii fires (we already landed in Maui). Such a terrible tragedy in Maui :( They put our star points back in our account and will not let us bank them to 2024. They say we need to use them by the end of the year. Well, 2023 is booked, so basically they are stealing from us. Such a joke of a company. Never purchase a Vistana timeshare!!!!!Vistana Signature Experiences

If you didn't purchase travel insurance, your points will remain valid until their regular expiration date. However, transferring points to a future use year would affect availability for all owners. My vacation was cancelled to Hawaii because of the fires. I called two days before my trip and was told by the vistana agent the hotel would be closed, so we cancelled our trip. The resort was shut down a day later, I called and requested vistana give me a year for my points that I now have, and they refused, I spoke with a manger Jose, and he refused to extend them. This is the second time Vistana has treated us poorly, they charged a fee during covid to extend our points, even though all the resorts were closed. Vistana salesmen are very convincing but very misleading. We were under the impression we would be able to use this timeshare whenever we wanted to. We have had to let points accumulate before being able to book one room. When staying at the timeshare, we were constantly pressured to attend more presentations, which was annoying. This timeshare has been worrisome and very frustrating from the beginning. We are planning to retire soon and would really like Vistana to work with us toward ending our ownership, but they are not helpful and never reply.Vistana Signature Experiences

I want to cancel my timeshare terms. My sister is Julia ********* ******, she is deceased (you have been notified several times). I cannot continue to throw money out the window and restart the upkeep alone. On top of that, we were told the maintenance fees would only be around 200 dollars.....Lies! We were left in the dark about many things, which was unfair, so the best thing to do now is give it back to you.

Avoid Sheraton Vacation Club at all costs. They promise you everything and deliver NOTHING. Having been a long time Marriott member, I felt this might be a good supplement to our portfolio for future vacation and travel plans. Instead we got a total nightmare. The people working there are all smiles, but then they hook you and after you are gone you get nothing promised. Unanswered emails, non-returned phone calls and total scammers. Especially avoid manager Colon and salesman Soufian. Total scammers with no ethics or moral compass. And god forbid you ask for help from Marriott. Marriott and the leadership should be ashamed of themselves for being affiliated with Sheraton Vacation Club. it should be renamed SHERATON SCAMMERS CLUB. I’m sorry to read that this owner feels scammed and for the lack of follow-up. We provide the full details of the agreement at the time of purchase. The owner can combine the two types of ownership by converting to Club Points. These Club Points can then be used to secure reservations at the 90+ resorts that participate in the Abound program. Also, while I understand the sales team may offer to be of assistance, it is best to call Owner Services directly for anything related to ownership. Vistana is a professional at ignoring their clients, exaggerating what a timeshare is to lure you into purchasing and then ghosting when you try to use the timeshare or learn how to use it. I have been trying to cancel my contract for months and am not getting anywhere with them. All they do is ignore me or say they can't help because of my open loan. Our Owner Services team is in place to help owners learn how to use their ownership. They are available to owners from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., eastern time, Monday through Friday. Owners also have a 10-day rescind period that begins the day the contract is signed. The rescind period is in place to allow purchasers to review the agreement and decide if they want to move forward. Do not get involved with this company. They are crooks. They have raised my dues every single year since the beginning. The latest scam involves paying an additional $230 "club dues" fee. They told me it was one fee instead of paying for the "banking" fee, "conversion" fee, "cancellation" fee or the "name change" fee. However, if you don't need any of those fees, you wouldn't have to pay them. So I am paying $230 per year for coverage of fees I don't need. If I just book my vacation, don't need to change anything, I would never pay any of those fees. I wish I never got involved with this organization.Vistana Signature Experiences

We apologize about the concerns Mr. ****** is having with is ownership. We understand that maintenance fees can change however, the annual maintenance fees are a decision made by the owner's association and not the developer. With the launch of the ABOUND program, all owners are charged an annual club due in lieu of prior ownership servicing fees. This is an advantage to the vast majority of our owners as the club dues also include an Interval International account and internal exchange request, as well as the trade to Bonvoy fee, and several other fees that owner services historically charged separate fees for.Review fromMichael L

Our experience with Sheraton Vacation ownership has been a total nightmare. Regrettably, we have been owners since 2010. It started with false promises of cheap tickets and free stays, but turned into a never-ending cycle of fees, broken promises, and disappointment. Those so-called "owners updates" were nothing but sales pitches, pushing us into more contracts that only added to our financial woes. It's frustrating and downright unfair. We're stuck with escalating costs and limited choices, and it's taking a toll on our family. We seriously regret getting involved with this mess and want others to be aware of the shady practices in the timeshare industry. Furthermore, do not believe a word they say about this being a real estate investment. This is only a worthless debt that not even a shady lender would refinance. After doing research, it’s devastating to see that we are not the only ones who have fallen victim to their unethical practices. I’m sorry to read that this owner feels misled about ownership. The details regarding the cost of ownership are provided at the time of purchase, so I am disappointed to read ownership has become a financial burden. The ways to use the ownership has increased significantly this year, so I encourage the owner to speak with Owner Services regarding what they feel are limited options.
