    I signed a contract with Coastal Movers for $2,179.25 and told they would do the move from ******, ** to **************, ** only to find Cita Van Lines show up at my door late in the afternoon. They came into the apartment and within 5 minutes disregarded the contract and started they need to charge me to wrap all the furniture and add more boxes to cover some items. **** form Coastal Movers already covered the cost of this setting up our contract. **** made no attempt to discuss the original contract and started adding up extra boxes and then started to create a fake contract and raising the cost. Originally it was $2,179.25 and then went to almost $5,000.00 and as it got later and running out of time for the storage room the price jumped again to almost $7,000.00. At that point I realized I was being scammed and stopped giving **** anymore money. They have all our belongings, plus $4,000.00 and want more to return our belongings. Now they want to add storage charges on to the bill.

    Coastal Moving initially quoted me $3013. Then upped the charge to $3597 and finally to $4795. The final charge was on the day of when it was too late for me to back out. They then told me my items would be delivered on 9/3, they did not get delivered until 9/8.I had to purchase an air mattress, blankets, pillows, clothes, plastic utensils, etc. just to be able to live in my empty apartment for a week. None of these items would have been needed if they delivered on the original date given.When the items were delivered the gentleman charged me an additional $400 for a "carrying fee". The contract states it would be $75 per additional $100 feet and he was parked right outside of my apartment. He had me ***** the money to him directly and not to the company. I had no choice but to pay or they wouldn't unload my items.This company completely scammed and extorted me. They caused me emotional and financial damage and I would like a full refund.

    Hello, Im ******, owner of Coastal Florida Movers. Unfortunately there is a company called Coastal Movers located in ******* that gets confused with us all the time. We are located and based in *****************, **************. We did not move you, but I can hop on a call and give you advise on how to get recourse on your disaster move with Coastal Movers. They are what is considered a broker and simply take a deposit for much less than what the move would go for, and send your information out to the cheapest bidder who would come close to the online quote they give you. They are unfortunately not a moving company, but a call center.

    On March 23 a payment was made of ******* to have movers pick up furniture at my residence and move it to my relocation **********, **. The move was brokered out and the contractors were 4 hours late and showed up in U-haul, requiring $3700 instead of the quoted amount for the complete job of $2998. $3700 I was told would move the furniture to ******* and advised to call in five days to arrange delivery for another $3700. I fired them on the spot. Coastal Movers as the broker should have set guidelines and be accountable. I am asking for a full refund.

    Hello, we are located in Brevard County and dont travel out of state. We often get confused with a coastal movers in *****, coastal moving group, coastal *** lines etc that are all brokers. We are a local family owned and operated moving company. We are not brokers but unfortunately get confused with the fraudulent company down south.  We also checked our records and havent had a move in ************ since 2022, let alone with the last name ******.
