The material used in their AC units is CHEAP. A 4yr AC Unit had to have the air handler coil replaced due to a sickening smell, all because of the CHEAP quality. Will NEVER buy another Carrier productCarrier Corporation

Product is only two years old. Have maintenance records has been maintained since we moved into the house apart and the system failed and leaked out. ************* expects us to pay $1000 in Freon when asked via 17 emails and about 10 phone calls. No response cant afford the thousand dollars. No ones willing to help decided to go to Better Business Bureau and contact my lawyer faulty product. Not covered under warranty product failed leaked out Freon.Carrier Corporation

UPDATE: So it is now FEBRUARY 23, and still no part. The fault does not lay with the contractor. The fault lay with you CARRIER! How can you sell an HVAC with warranty and then not have parts available? How can Carrier call themselves "the Best," when they do not (1) HAVE PARTS ON HAND, (2) OR BETTER YET, NOT REPLACE THE ENTIRE UNIT after making your purchasers wait this long? How can you call this good business? I was just told, the part is not in and there still is no date. PART 1: ORIGINAL POST I would give ZERO (0) Stars as we have been waiting since early January for replacement coils. I hope shareholders read your reviews and understand the depth of the problem with how warranties are not handled with efficiency. We were told by local that February 23 was earliest "maybe" availability. If the BOARD OF DIRECTORS paid attention, not to their dividends and bottom line, CARRIER / ****** would Replace the defective lemon HVACS if you cannot replace the coils. And this HVAC is only a few years old and completely within warranty. . As this corporation is DBA in the state of Florida, I will be contacting leaders within our state. After looking at the bad reviews, I am surprised that absolutely nothing has been rectified. Perhaps calling the Governor's office and the representatives of our state would receive more action?Carrier Corporation

1 starDespicable company that utilizes bullsh*t policies to deny bill coverage for instances where they are directly responsible for not supplying warranty parts in a reasonable amount of time.I'm facing a 700 dollar electricity bill due to having to wait over a month for carrier to get it's sh*t together and send a secondary heat exchange unit to the technician who ordered it for me. We were forced to use 7 space heaters at a time to fight off the -40C weather to stay warm and keep our pipes from freezing. Carriers useless staff conducting a similarly useless investigation as to why the parts were taking so long to be delivered were extremely slow to reply via email and depended on the customer entirely to provide information that they could simply get by calling their warehouse supplier. A complete fu*king joke of a company. They should be disgusted in themselves. All the staff need better training and need to be more knowledgeable about their jobs and positions instead of just spewing a bunch of bullsh*t about nonsense policies without explaining WHY these policies are in place to begin with. 1 starCarrier was uninterested in my concerns over a local ********** company who installed a new heat pump and propane backup system in my home. I thought they might care about poor workmanship. When you spend $17,000 on a high end heat pump and furnace you expect professional installation. I am not satisfied, at all, with Carrier telling me to deal with the independently owned heating and air company. I am dealing with the sales/ service heating and air company! You'd think a major manufacturer of quality equipment would be interested in one of their "approved" companies ******** up an installation. I took pictures to show anyone interested... 1 star*********************** Hello I'm a home owner since **** & the house was build in ****. The house had 2 A/********* Units Carrier a 4 tons & a 2 tons. In 9/24/18 I desired to replace both A/********* Units with the same brand Carrier since the units did not give me any major problems for 18 years & the experience I have were excellent. I got the same 4 tons & a 2.5 tons. On 4/8/20 I had a major problem with the 4 tons unit, the condenser coil leaking & fail. On 2021 I had another problem with the same central unit again, this time the capacitor went bad. On 11/4/2 again it was not cooling. I had a company & a dealer company from Carrier come to check the unit both company diagnostic the unit wrongfully & without any confidence. I decided to called IRSRESCUE ROOTER to come & check the unit. After the diagnostic the technician told me "You have a leak in the system & the leak it is at the evaporator coil. The cost for the labor repair it will be $2827. The evaporator coil it is on the warranty we will deal with Carrier Corporation to get paid for the part. the A/********* unit was working in the following date after the job was done. I got in touch with Carrier trying to reason with them about this central unit. it seems like it is a second hand unit or a defected unit since I have so many problems in four years. I have more that enough mayor problems with this unit than I never have with the old units for 18 years. Carrier answer was the manufacturer warranty does not include diagnostic fees, labor, refrigerant, maintenance, etc My complaint it is about the poor performance of this CARRIED A/********* unit 4 tons. Model CA16NA048-B Serial **********. I paid good money for a good brand units. I still paying for these A/C system. I did not buy this unit at a discount or promotion neither did I won the unit in a lottery. I failed to ask for drivers license and registration from ************************************* after it backed into me, knocking me off my bike and flat on my back in the road in front of ************************************************************** on Monday October 17, 2022 at 11:30 am. I have had no luck getting any information from carrier.com. It has been almost 2 weeks of enforced rest - I have been unable to take my usual pilates, dance and yoga classes at the ******** and cannot fullfill my normal volunteer ushering assignments at ** symphony and Zellerbach Hall and could not make it to ******** where I am a volunteer gardener ! Went to urgent care on day of accident - and again 10 days later for x Rays. No broken bones, nothing is dislocated. The driver gave me a phony name and phone number. I am enraged that someone who is driving a van professionally would LIE. Carrier shifted the blame to local UNNAMED companies - saying they (carrier) subcontact to local companies who run their vans. This sounds like b.s. to me. I emailed the chief legal counsel at Carrier and posted on carriers FB page. Both these avenues have now blocked me! ANY Information about carrier.com - especially about their van * ***** will be much appreciated. I am furious that after knocking down an elderly woman into the street with their vehicle, that driver deliberately avoided taking responsibility for his actions. Who knows what other misdeeds and accidents he may have caused and then shucked his responsibility. I have filed a police report and will file a small claims.Carrier Corporation

The product is ok but customer service is non existent. It's a problem with the carrier thermostat not connecting with my phone. The service tech who installed 9 months ago said call carrier customer service. Have tried calling and emailing multiple times. Just ignored my attempts.
