Received call from National Police and Troopers Assoc. Asking for a donation. I agreed to send a check for a certain amount. I was then transferred to someone to verrify that my information was correct. This person then tried to get me to agree to donate via my credit card in order to cut down on their expense. I refused to give my credit info ****** and told them to mail me a request. I just received a telephone call form the organization, telling me they had not received my donation. I told them that I was going to mail them a check but again they tried to get me to pay by credit card. Again told them I was going to mail them a check. They were still asking me to pay by credit card. I told them I would mail them a check and hung up. Now after reading the reviews, I am not going to send them anything. I don't mind trying to help out the Police but these people are too pushy.

I have given to other local law enforcement charities in the past. The woman who called was very aggressive and I agreed to donate $25 but not over the phone. 2 weeks later I got the letter in the mail. Now I get 2-3 calls a day from different and repeating numbers even when I block them. I answered one to tell him to get me off their call list but that hasn't helped. That one was supposedly a firefighters charity. Somebody should be investigating these calls!

I had a similar experience to those already listed here. Once I said I would donate AFTER receiving an invoice in the mail with more info, I was transferred to someone trying to collect credit card info for payment. They will not stop calling and become quite aggressive on the phone. When I nicely gave feedback about their phone etiquette and pressure in the past, they did not comment, then put pressure on me to get my credit card info. I then researched them further on-line. My local law enforcement has warned the public this is a SCAM. I will not be donating, but rather will support my local law enforcement.

If I could give no stars I would. I gave them a donation, they wanted me to pay over the phone with my credit card and that should have been my first warning... I said "no, you can send me a bill", then I hadn't gotten their letter yet and they called back to see why I hadn't sent them my money and tried to get me to pay online again. Still I was dumb and when it came I paid. Now I am getting 3-5 calls a day asking to donate to charities. Stupid me I guess. No more donations from me.

Per telephone I agreed to send a check for a certain amount. I was then transferred to someone to "verify" that my information was correct. This person then tried to get me to agree to donate via my credit card in order to cut down on their expense. I refused to give my credit info. and told them to send me a mail request. 2 or 3 weeks later, I received a telephone call form the organization, telling me they had not received my donation. I advised them that I had not received the mail request.Feb 22, received mail request. I looked up the charity on the Better Business Bureau and on Charity ********** This is not a ************ but an organization that has some agenda or program. So we can Verify, National Coalition for Police and Troopers is a site owned by a PAC, isn't a charitable organization. For the record, on their website, it never calls itself a charity or non-profit. I returned the mail request without the donation and wrote a note on the form telling them I shall not donate to their cause.

Call constantly even though I'm supposed to be on the "do not call list". I just hang up. It's too many different numbers to block

I was a policeman for ****************************************** any police department who has received help from them. Their pitch says :Can I count on your non-tax deductible donation? This tells you they are not a legitimate, registered charity. Ive gotten two calls from them, and Im not donating to them. If you want to help a police officer, just be kind and respectful if you happen to have a contact with them. Thanks!

I like to support our police and troopers but refuse to give anyone over the phone my credit card. I told them to send me information in the mail, then I looked them up. Here I am. They are a PAC and I don't give to those.

Similar to other reviews, this organization is abusively relentless in their calls soliciting funds. Our phone # is on the National Do Not Call registry, and when I've told them that, request they take me off their call list, they just hang up. Our only recourse has been to silence unknown callers, though they still call at least 3x/day soliciting additional donations. It would be great if BBB or NDNC registry or someone would take action against this organization.
