Made the mistake of "donating" now they just won't stop calling it starts at 8am and I have even received calls as late as 9pm this has been going on for months I get 7 calls a day from different local numbers I block them all but it doesn't stop they don't call on Sunday thankfully... it's so bad I'm about to change my number that I have had for 13 years I recently went to their website to request to be put on their do not call list so hopefully that helps but I will definitely not donate to any charity over the phone again. I will do it in person like we used to

I made the mistake of giving $23 in December 2022 (added $3 for CC processing). Wanted to get them off my back. HUGE mistake. Now I get 4-5 calls per day on my cell phone from what I can only assume is a massive call center in southwestern VA. I block the number and refuse the call, but it is just brutal. What a lousy organization this is.

When they call, I can tell that it's a bot calling and not a real person. I always assumed they were probably a "less than 10%" charity, and given the other comments I was correct.People wasting my time!

I felt bullied on the call and was told (sarcastically) I had a "heart of gold" when I said I was called and asked to donate every month and how could I make the calls stop. I asked for the website to make any decision and was given the information. www.nptadonations.org After looking at it I've decided to block my phone from this number and will continue to support the police in other ways.

I hang up when I recognize the recorded voice and block the number. They call again with a new number. Not even an 800 number but using a local area code.

Thanks for the reviews. Fortunately, I sensed the caller was not legitimate and did not give. I have to say, though, that at least he was not aggressive. I am glad to know I saved myself from further harassment.

Joining the list of people in January 2023 who are being harassed by this organization. Same situation described by others: an unnamed man makes a plea to support national troopers and asks if you'll make a pledge. I asked for information about the organization to be sent to me via e-mail or regular mail. I was quickly transferred to an unnamed woman who immediately presses you to "take care of your obligation using **** or mastercard" -- and when I pushed back to ask for the mailer, I was told that the money needs to be put to work right away for their cause and that it wasn't acceptable to wait for a mailer to be sent out. Long story short, I received no mailer and am receiving calls every few days insisting that I make the donation. This does not appear to be a legitimate organization -- no 501(c) or other information seems to be available.Calls are coming from (805) 819-xxxx numbers (last call that I received was on 1/26 from extension ****) -- a different extension every time to avoid *****************.

I also keep receiving calls from these people and they have tried to get me to provide my credit card information with them. I explained to them that I will not provide it and they can send me an invoice, just received it yesterday and decided to look them up. I am glad I did and see all the reviews from others who are having the same issue as me. I also asked them do they support my state and was told no so why would I send something to them in another state.

The same man keeps calling me and has been super rude at every interaction. He has hung up on me anytime I ask him to take me off their call list. I am so annoyed because they are using different numbers every time they call. I dont know what else to do!
