    I called them in April, 2024, to get a new lawn. Our front lawn was Floratam and *******, the rear was bare (2 years) for an addition to our home. I was given choices of sod, promised a complete kill on the existing lawn, existing lawn removed with sod cutter, and *********************. About 2-3 weeks later, I could see some green growth and called with my concerns. I was told not to worry and that the new sod was being installed in two days. It was. I did everything they told me to do as far as treatment and watering. Within three weeks, ******* was growing over much of the Floratam. A supervisor came out and told me that not much will eradicate Bermuda. He did not mention this when he made the bid. Now I have a very struggling Floratam and Bermuda lawn. Their sod also came with a lot of crabgrass and sedge. It looks really bad. This is what ******** gives you for $17,000. Our lawn looks horrible to the point that neighbors are commenting on the job. ******** has not followed up with us any further. We want this lawn fixed.

    We met with homeowner as soon as complaint was received.   The yard has partially gone dormant due to below freezing temperatures Weeki Wachee has had in the last month.   Also went over concerns of some common Bermuda mixed into lawn.  We agreed to do (2) complimentary treatments to entire lawn, and any areas homeowner is not satisfied with will be replaced in the spring after freezing weather has subsided. Feel free to call owner **** at the office ************

    The owner came to our home after seeing the complaint.  We walked the property to see the condition of the new Floratam grass I had purchased, the existing Bermuda grass that did not get killed and is spreading, and the evidence of the crabgrass that came with the sod.  The owner checked our irrigation system and found it working properly.  

    The owner then said, and put in writing, that come early Spring he would inspect the lawn again, install up to 2000 square feet of new sod, and pay for two monthly fertilizer/pesticide treatments to help get the lawn going.  I agreed to give him that opportunity.  The spray service he uses came to see me not long after and confirmed the conversation.  I have a spray service and will suspend their treatments for those two months.

    I will follow up on this complaint in the Spring and stay in communication with ******** Sod.  The frost has put most of the lawn dormant until then so we will wait for better weather.

    in June 2023 i contracted with Murphys Sod (**** ******) to provide and install ******* floritam sod in my front yard. **** came out and measured and sent a guy to kill off my existing grass and weeds. One week after the guy sprayed to kill off the grass i called **** and told him that all the grass and weed were not dead, he said dont worry it would be fine. After they installed the floritam i was told to water twice a day. after two months weeds started coming up and a different grass also. I called **** at Global Lawn spraying and he came out and said it had different grass, weeds and torpedo grass all in the sod. There were also big spots that were not growing and were still brown. 6 months i called murphys and spoke to **** ******, owner who told me there wasnt much rain wait until the rain season and all the grass would grow. He said he contacted **** from global and then he told me the grass would be fine. I asked about the weeds and torpedo grass and the different kind of grass and he said they would all burn off. I have tried for the last 2 months to contact **** ****** because my floritam is anything but floritam and all weeds and different grass and he has not returned my emails or calls as of today. Global has been taking care of my lawn since day one and they told me it isnt going to get better because the sod i received was bad sod indendated with weeds and other grass and that the old grass probably was not properly killed off, which i told **** about prior to installing the sod. I was going to have another sod company come here and let me know their evaluation of my lawn but i thought id write you first. I paid Murphys ******* of mu money for weeds and an array of different grass that i didnt want and they have no sense of responsibility for their customers.I wanted ********************** to replace my floritam with good grass or a refund. Evenmy neighbors asked me what was wrong with my lawn that it was bad from day one thank you

    A portion of front lawn was re-sodded in June of 2023 (15 months ago). 

    We sprayed to kill existing lawn, removal, disposal, leveling, installation and rolling of fresh sod was completed. 

    We have photos of lawn before resodded showing it was dead/brown. We now have the existing photos a year after install showing a beautiful GREEN thick lawn. 

    We cannot control a small % of weeds coming Into your lawn from the connecting areas that we did not sod.  

    We also cannot control that you are also a landscaper, using the same mower to maintain 72 other lawns in the area.  Weeds can spread via mowers, wind, underground etc.  

    We brought healthy green sod from Day 1 and to this day you have a great looking yard  I am you have some weeds in your lawn, but all lawns in your area do 

    we had a cordial conversation a few days ago and you agreed you are going to try some weed control maintenance. If the sod was bad, it would not root and would have died within the first few weeks.  We stand behind our work and if that was the case we would replace any bad areas that does not root, but that is not the case.
