I financed a $5393.75 laser hair removal package from Ideal Image in Oct 2020 for 5 areas. I began making payments that month and was told that they would reach out to schedule the first appointment - which they did not. I contacted Ally Lending to make a claim, and then immediately heard back from Ideal Image that earliest I can get an appointment is Jan 2021. I waited all while making payments. It is currently 9/26/22, almost TWO years after my package was purchased and I have only been able to obtain 4 appointments due to their staffing issues. I should have been able to get at least 8-9 treatments over the 16 month package. Ideally, each treatment should be between ***** weeks apart, which was seldom the case and affects the permanence of the treatment. I was given poor treatment by the various nurses who were always in a haste and one mentioned that the previous nurse has used the wrong settings. Out of the 5 areas in which I was getting laser, I was told that 2 of them would not show reduction because the hair was too light on my SECOND treatment, even thought I asked my in my consultation and was assured otherwise. My treatments are entirely paid off and when I contacted them again with frustration they mentioned theyd extend the offer to let me get my full number of treatments. I called again since I couldnt get an appointment and would prefer a refund. Since that phone call in spring I haven't heard back and keep getting transferred to different case managers. The appointment that I was scheduled for in September was cancelled without notifying me. When I called corporate they mentioned multiple times to me that the *** location was troublesome and it is not the first they are hearing these complaints. Originally I simply wanted the services I paid for to be delivered, unfortunately now I would rather not deal with them at all. I would like my money back, and close all dealings with Ideal Image. It is unfortunate what I, and so many others have endured.Business Response

Thank you for reaching out regarding your concerns. The contract with Ideal Image was purchased on 10/05/2020 and recreated for the guest on 01/15/2021, which started the guests 16 months within the contract over. The guest was treated 4 out of the 5 times within the contract (16 months). We have tried on multiple occasions to work with the guest however the guest is a travel nurse and was not able to do a lot of the appointments offered to her. We are able to see notes from 9/10/2021 where it was promised to the guest to extend her contract once expired and add additional treatments to her account. We are happy to still provide this to the guest to resolve within the contract terms and conditions (contract uploaded for review) but refund is not an option. Thank you.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: This business is offering false promises, they said they would extend my treatments but it's near impossible to get an appointment. I had an appointment setup for September, and it was cancelled by Ideal Image without any warning. No one has reached out to inform me this was the case, so you can imagine why I would prefer to end this working relationship rather than go through the obstacles it takes to book an appointment and have them be cancelled. This business continues to be dishonest and mislead people on services and packages that are not available. Please check the multiple ****** reviews that are present. It seems that many people are experiencing the same pain and difficulties. If call records are pulled then you would see how many issues I have experienced from the beginning and the effort I have gone through to book appointments. Within the contract it was stated that the treatments would be between **** weeks apart, which was impossible to schedule, often times the treatments were ***** weeks apart if not longer due to Ideal Image's scheduling and staffing issues, and that does bring down the efficacy of the treatments. In addition to that, the level of medical attention has been poor. The client's safety and wellbeing is not held to the highest regard. The nurse trainings at this location need to be radically improved. How can I expect to trust the nurses at a location where the next discredits the first, mentioning that they might've done the incorrect settings for me and that "there's a reason she's not here anymore". This is not only an issues of scheduling but poor medical practices. To make matters worse I received a call from Ideal Image, and gave the person a call back. Once again I was transferred 3 times without being told I was transferred. I was simply told "let me take a look at the notes on the case" and kept getting thrown into circles for 45 min. Then I called again, got a hold of a gentleman from whom I requested a call back at 5pm MT. He confirmed that someone would reach out to me, and so far no call. I have tried to switch case managers, or speak to anyone who might be willing to help. Unfortunately, it seems like such a person does not exist at Ideal Image.
Above all I feel mislead and deceived and morally do not feel that business like this should be allowed to continue their unethical practices. Given the nature of this case and the difficulties I have experienced I am left with no choice but to consult a lawyer and take this to Small Claims Court.
Sincerely,

We are happy to extend the guests contract and still offer additional treatment sessions to the guests account but we are not able to offer a refund at this time. As previously stated we have offered multiple appointment times to the guest but with the guests schedule they were not able to come in. If guest does not want to continue laser treatments the guest is welcome to change services and use account credit. We are also willing to resolve in any other way that falls within the contract terms and conditions. Thank you.

In August 2022, I was suckered into a contract with Ideal Image. I received financing from Ally. I've never had services rendered and I've been getting the run around with Ideal Image. They sent paperwork to me via email to fill out because my Dr. suggested that I not do it. I have a history of blood clots and shouldn't take the risk.I filled out the paperwork and sent it back. I haven't heard anything from them in weeks. Every time I call, I get put on hold then after waiting 30 minutes, the phone hangs up. I had to contact **** because they never did. Ally is now processing the cancel for me, but Ideal Image refuses to even answer the phone when I call. I was told that it doesn't matter if services were never rendered of if I canceled within 2 weeks, I'm supposed to pay them. That is/should be against the law to hold someone to a contract that no services were ever rendered and I never stepped foot in any of their offices AND IT'S DUE TO HEALTH REASONS. DO I NEED TO CONTACT THE ATTORNEY GENERAL ON THEIR BUSINESS PRACTICES AND GET THEM TO CANCEL THE CONTRACT? Ally is seems to be cooperating and sending them a request for payment for funds sent to them and not utilized.Business Response

I started with them in Jan. ** all payed Alley $4,283.00 for 8 sessions of cool sculpting,I received 4 sessions in all could not schedule first appointment with them until march9 due to Covid they were behind on appointments, they did 2 sessions that day. Could not get second appointment until may 4 th. I was told that i would see results with in three months of my 2nd sessions I only did my upper abs , I was not happy with my results after the 3 month. So I called and ask could I receive another service for my remaining balance that was paid. I was told I would need to schedule another appointment and talk to the nurse doing my cool sculpting.I explained to her then I will be paying for another appointment that I am not happy with. At this point I am upset. So I called back again Sept 20th to ask again if I could receive another service,I spoke to ******* she told me that I would have to talk to a manager, and she would have Page the ********** manager call me back. I asked her what Pages last name was and was told that that was confidential. At this point I am really upset so I started reading the reviews on line, well they are terrible. So at this point I called back to see how many sessions that I have left, mind you I have paid Alley in full at this point.I was told that my service has expired. So basically I am out over $4,000 dollars. ***** was wanting payment for these services before i even started receiving any service.Alley as of March 1 st they called saying that I had a past due bill.Ihad not even received any service at this point. At this point I do not want any further service for a company that is only in business to s**** people out of money. I want refunded the money that was paid for the services I never received. I was never told that the services they provide would expire. I want a refund. These people never called me back to resolve.Alley has been paid in full!Business Response

I signed up for cool sculpting. But a day later I decided I could not afford this. So I called *** back because he called me. He is so hard to get a hold of. Basically playing telephone tag everyday. So I talked to him and he told me I have to pay them $1000 but he can refund me $240 for the membership. I didnt even know I was signing a membership. Also, I have never even gotten any treatment from them. I cancelled my appointment the day after signing up and still I have to pay $1000? How does this make any sense. I dont think thats fair at all. This company just tries to get people to sign up. Dont sign up because now I cant get $1000 back for doing absolutely nothing. I called within 12 hours of when I signed and still cant cancel and get a refund. This is ridiculous. Im gonna go to the news about this.Business Response

I purchased several packages for both IPL treatments and cool sculpting and paid in full. When Covid lockdown happened, obviously the spa was closed and we were unable to continue using them. For months after the spa reopened, it was impossible to get an appointment as many technicians were no longer working. I would try to get appointments but they were often a good drive from my home. The packages have an expiration date so typically that could be adjusted by a manager. Combine this timing with no availability for appointments, 6 week period to heal in between and then to rebook a future appointment and youre expired again. Getting them renewed is now impossible because ** told the account is under review for over 8 months now. This is theft to not provide services that were paid for in a package and to find no resolution to simply extend the expiration. Something paid in full shouldnt expire in the first place! Secondly, the cool sculpting was done incorrectly and I was left with indentions on the sides of my thighs. I went in for a clinical consult and they examined the areas, took pictures and made notes. Nothing has ever been resolved and no one will respond or return phone calls. This has been going on for some time and is terrible business practice. I would like some of my money or refunded or at least get my services reinstated and additional services for my time and headache in the matter.Business Response

Guest purchased BBL in a 5 pack for Face and Chest. All were used minus 1 treatment for Face and 3 for Chest before contract expired. Contract was recreated at **** cost for guest for 1 treatment for Face and the 3 for Chest of which 1 for Face was used and 1 for Chest was used before expiration. The last contract was then recreated for the 2 remaining sessions for Chest however we gave guest 3 for Neck instead of the 2 for chest. 1 BBL for Neck remains and the expiration date to use is 9/30/2022. We are happy to give one additional extension until 12/31/2022 for the guest to use 1 remaining BBL however there will be no other extensions or contracts recreated for the guest at this time. I am rejecting this response because:
This is unacceptable. I will never use this business again and I want my money back both for the unused BBL treatments which I did not use the treatments they are referring to giving me. I also want a response and money back for the botched cool sculpting.
The lack of follow up, lack of attention to my complaints that have been circling unresolved for months is not how a business like this is operated. I would have spent more money had their been proper attention and response. To expire services paid for in full is a terrible business practice.

my case was closed and I was traveling so I didnt have a chance to check my email and respond within the allotted time frame. I did not want it to be closed because the response from the business is incorrect. I did still have sessions left for the *** but my problem was that they kept expiring, and that is where it needs to be renewed. If they are not going to honor a refund or any sort of other resolution, I want to at least get the remaining sessions that I had available to meet reinstated so that I can go and use them and be done with them forever. On September 2, 2022, I called Ideal Image to arrange a cosmetic service called Ultherapy. By phone I was given an appointment for October 21, 2022 at their spa in ******** MA. The following day I decided to call and change the appointment to their Burlington spa, which is more convenient. In the meantime, however, I looked at my accounts and was surprised to see that Ideal Image had already charged my credit card for the $1500 fee for the service. See attached. Ideal Image had my credit card number from a previous transaction.
When I made the appointment on September 2nd, the woman I spoke with asked if I would pay for the service with Ideal Image’s finance plan or by credit card. I said that I would pay by credit card. I did not authorize Ideal Image to charge my card at that time. Their own recording would prove this.
While I was on the phone on September 2nd, the woman had me scroll through a lengthy contract. I cannot say that I was able to read the entire 14-page contract but skimmed it in part. In any case, this contract or agreement clearly states, in bold, “You are obligated to pay for all services at the time of service.” See page 3 of agreementattached.
When I called to ask that my appointment be changed, I also asked that my money be refunded and said I would pay on the day of service, as agreed. I was then referred to a customer service agent, Ben Braughton. His contact information is [email protected], 1-800-708-0976.
I asked Mr. ********* to refund my $1500. He emailed me the contract and, by phone, insisted that the contract does not say that payment is due at the time of service although it clearly does. On September 9th, he said by email that he would put me on a wait list for an appointment. He has not given me an appointment.Business Response

I have disputed Ideal Image’s unauthorized $1500 charge to my credit card through my bank. My bank has credited my card with the $1500 but said Ideal Image would have the opportunity to contest this resolution. Ideal Image notified me this afternoon that they are contesting this resolution. I am therefore asking that my complaint with BBB be left open or be reopened if it has been closed.

I signed a contract for treatment. At no point during the initial conversation or contract did they tell me they would send me beauty products. I received a box with 2 skincare products which I looked up online - they were significantly marked up from prices online. I went to the appointment and the nurse told me they couldnt do the procedure because of my skin type. I subsequently returned the products that I received. I received credit for the treatment but not the beauty products. I have sent several emails and they keep telling me that the products were received but are in the warehouse waiting to be processed. Returned on 7/11/2022 and today 9/25/2022 still waiting for credit for something I didnt authorize and returned promptly. Requesting $220.83 refund to my credit cardBusiness Response

I have only been able to secure ONE appointment since signing a contract in February 2022. From the one appointment I received, it appears that I was "burned" or "bleached" on my upper lip, which is now many shades lighter than the rest of my skin. I have been unable to schedule another appointment, as they are always "BOOKED" and suggested that I seek an appointment at another location outside my hometown, when I need to placed on a waiting list, despite my caveat when discussing possible treatment that I am a healthcare worker and have limited times to schedule appointments. I continue to pay $79.99 / month, with only one appointment, and that appointment led to me have a bleached upper lip. I am a healthcare provider, and I have limited availability for scheduling, which I explained when I first interviewed with them. I have been unable to schedule but one appointment. It is unthinkable in a pandemic, that this is acceptable business practice.Business Response

I had my laser hair removal appointment for my jawline and front of next on 9/20/22. I had reported a small burn from my previous appointment to the nurse and she said shell put in extra effort to prevent future *****. After my session, the area treated was burning like it has never before. I was given ice but that did not help at all. It continued to burn for the next hour or so before cooling down. I noticed swelling and bumps on the area that was treated. This normally goes away within a couple of hours but this case was different. I had started bruising by the end of the day and cold not reach out to the clinic due to me travelling for a family event out of the country. i made sure to stay out of the heat and applied soothing cream. My jawline, chin, and neck are all covered with thick black burn marks which has deemed my confidence a lot. I feel very limited with the activities I do because the ***** are not pretty and very visible.Business Response

The date Sept. 1st thru the 12th. I was thinking of having some facial injections done before a wedding on the 17th and called ideal image. a Zoom meeting was set up and pressure to read and sign many pages of documents while on a zoom call. I signed them and then changed my mind a few days later, upon cancelling my appointment I was pressure to have other procedures, I refused them. When I received a bill from Ally Finance I called immediately and they said to call Ideal Image and and have the money refunded o them. I was also told by All they will give me the run around and to tell them I was filling a complaint with the BBB. if the money was not refunded. I was told by *** the representative from Ideal Image they would NOT refund the money to Ally and I signed a contract and what procedures I would like to book. I was very upset and I was leaving the next morning to Europe for a wedding. I was constantly thinking about it and it caused great stress.Business Response

September 2, 2022The initial consultation is over zoom and is a guess based on what areas you would like to target. An anesthetist did not do the consult. I wanted a fresh look for a wedding in fifteen days, not the sculpted look with large plumped lips that is the current trend. Little of the conversation was about the possible dangers or side effects of having these types of services so soon before traveling. The quality of the Zoom wasn't good enough to make an accurate estimate of the cost, so she made sure that she went above the amount of injectable products, confident the anesthetist would have everything available at my appointment. The cost of unused products would be credited and used at another time, Costing me more in financing. The contract has the usual things you would expect about not being liable for infection or permanent health or damage due to reactions to Botox. One part of the contract that should be a red flag is the section agreeing not to participate in any class action lawsuit against Ideal Image and the two hundred and fifty yearly fee.Making the appointment before traveling to ******* was difficult. Due to a booked schedule, the representative could not schedule an appointment in the office nearest me. Unfortunately, the next closest office is 100 miles away. Under the circumstances of the wedding I chose to make the appointment .The conversation did not include the risks of having this type of injunctions eight days before flying . ************* and some bruising should be expected is how it was presented to me. I never had procedures like this done and needed professional advice and was unaware of the initial swelling, and not having a driver to drive me to the appointment, would have been a horrible idea. They suggest using Ally Lending to finance your injections or other cosmetic services. They have a fair interest rate and excellent customer service.I qualified for much more than my services and was asked if I had looked at their other services.Over the weekend a representative called wanting to schedule my second appointment. I was confused that I need a second appointment for a little freshening up. He explained I needed two appointments to achieve the look I wanted. I was leaving for ******* and two appointments would not work for me. The Representative said it was not a good Idea to fly so soon after facial injections. and bruising and swelling would still be present. I decided not to have the services and wanted to cancel my appointment. **** told I could cancel the appointment but I signed a contract and I could choose from other services they provide. Upon his refusal to return the money to Ally Lending I asked to speak with a manager.************************* made contact with me; he was rude and repeated. I signed a contract and asked what other services would like to schedule.I then called Ally Lending and asked what I should do to prevent a bill. They were so helpful and suggested I call Ideal Image back and ask again for the money to be refunded and if they refused to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Unfortunately, my call with *********************;the day before leaving on vacation didn't go any better than the first call. He refused my request for a refund and suggested I check out their other services. I was furious and insisted that he could not force me to have procedures I don't want. He generously offered to email me the contract I signed. After a closer look at the contract, I realized I signed a club-like contract with a two hundred and fifty dollar fee every year. and the section about the class action lawsuit. What was missing was the contract between Ideal Image and Ally Lending and the client.During my time in Europe, I received calls on most days from Ideal Image , wanting me to schedule my appointment.Upon my return, I had a bill from Ally Lending. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and called Ally Lending. The representative was beneficial and saw I called a few weeks prior. She made a formal request for Ideal Image for a full refund and said not to worry about the bill, her manager would handle it from here.I just received another call from Ideal Image, insisting I have services I do not want and I'm disputing Ally Lending loan and not them. I don't even answer all the **** calls any more knowing I will be harassed to have cosmetic services I do not want.
