July 2022 I had a zoom consultation with an ideal image rep. seeking information about cool sculpting to my upper arms In that meeting I my upper arms were showed to the rep. and it was determined by her that I would need for the very least 10: sessions in order to get results desired. I was quoted the sum of $5000 plus and was assisted to be financed through ally bank.That rep then said to me that I can be seen for my first session in October. I then asked why would it take that long, and was told that the particular branch I wanted to go to was booked.I then remarked why was this not taken into consideration or why was I not informed of prior to the financing approval about the long wait time. I further said I would think when someone is investing such a large amount of money, that the person will not have to wait that much time for an appointment.I was told there were earlier appointment at another location, but I refused since I was not comfortable driving to that location. I was called a few weeks later and given an earlier appointment at my desired location. When I went there for my first cool sculpting session, the nurse started prepping me for the process for my stomach,that's when I said it is not my stomach ,it is my upper arms. She then told me the pwk. showed my stomach . I again said that was incorrect, and further told her I had just 2 weeks ago had stomach surgery, so there was no way it could have be misunderstood what part of my body I needed service on.I then asked the nurse how does this affect my pricing, she said it really does not, because if I needed any other parts of my body done I could use the funds for this,, since I will not need all 10 sessions for my arms.I reluctantly did that 1 service, but I believe that the intake rep duped me and I no longer will be continuing the service. So for the past week they have been trying to get in touch with me because I INQUIRED about the options of stubborn fat freezing. I got a great phone call with information and agreed to a consult to GET A QUOTE. Well I missed the first one due to an accident. I received one yesterday. I answered and agreed to the consult. I showed her the chunk areas. And she was so nice and informational. We got to how much it would be and she told me to put my information in to see if I qualified for lending. So I did. I asked her if she had to stay on the phone as I was away from the screen and (felt she was pushing me to get a loan) and trying to read documents. She said yes its shell stay on the line and go through it with you. It was poor explanation after poor explanation. We got to my financial income and she advised me I can use both mine and my husbands income. (It would be foolish to tell someone that vague with out finishing that sentence notifying the consumer if you have access to their funds as well. Not once was I advised my credit would get pulled or that I was actually signing up for a loan. I would not have signed up and paid out of pocket because Im on a fixed income as Im a veteran with ptsd and not working at the moment due to it. By the time I did realize it was a no joke loan I had already submitted the paperwork and was electronically signing it. This company is extremely deceiving and terrible and Im like ****% sure you cannot have someone sign up for a loan without disclosing they will be pulling credit. Ideal Image business model is to get you sign a contract for services before telling you that they are overbooked and under staffed and the closest appointment available 2 months away. The initial consultation lead to believe that my goals are not only achievable but can be done in a timely fashion and only after the complimentary office visit was I informed that not only they do not have enough certified personal to perform the treatments but because of this is nearest appointment to begin treatments was 2 months away during Thanksgiving week. Which I should have been informed of before I signed the contact. Had I been informed about their scheduling issues I would have taken my business elsewhere. I live in ********* and have several options for the services they provide and I found a competitor who was able to provide the exact same services within the same week of contacting them. Why should I be obligated to pay for unrendered services when they are not obligated to disclose their staffing and scheduling issues. Nor are they obligated to provide written materials on services. I had to request a copy of contract and I have yet to receive any documentation on services. I signed up for. I called ideal image because I was unhappy with the information I was verbally given. I was told someone would get back to me within 5 business days which would have been a Friday. I was never contacted. I contacted them the following Tuesday. That was when I was informed that I was financially obligated whether the services were rendered or not. At which point I was totally disgusted with the whole business.Business Response

A VM was left for the guest on 9/7 and 9/8 before we were able to speak with the guest again on 9/9 and 9/13. We stand behind our service agreement and the commitment it offers. I paid for fillers on August 15, 2022 in the amount of $1650. The appointment was set for September 3, 2022. I cancelled the appointment within 7 days. I called for a refund and was told that someone would reach out to me for my open case. I did receive a voicemail and have returned their call and left them a voicemail 3 different times. I am very unpleased with Ideal Image of *********, **. I signed up for the cool toning procedure they have, made an appointment at a very far location for me because it was the soonest in months after paying over 3 grand. I got a call hours before my appointment which I took off of work for, explaining that my nurse called in so I need to reschedule when I called and asked multiple people from that location and transferred to HQ none of my questions were answered as to why one nurse calling in changes my schedule. I asked for a refund but was told I more than likely wont get one and would need to reschedule anyway. I got the gentleman on the phone to fill out a case for me (#********) but I have not gotten a response yet. I would like to have my money returned as I thought this was a business that can run without hindering my very busy schedule after paying an arm and leg for one minimal procedure.Business Response

It was not handled. I was told that there is absolutely no refund which is nuts. This is bully tactics at play, not once was it disclosed that its a completely non refundable service, and also that if one nurse calls in that they cancel your appointment and expect the individual to follow up. I am being forced to reschedule or take a total loss. Very disappointed in this business tactic, hopefully the service even works since I am not being granted a refund.

I was prompted to sign up for something under false pretenses that I had a 3 day return policy to talk to clients and my partner to go over if I could afford or if this service was a good fit for me.On a supposedly recorded consultation call, the sales rep ********* told me that she could offer me a 3 day return policy because she was not able to offer the discount if we did not lock the sale in by signing everything on that phone call, so we had to sign within that phone call and after signing I would be able to get my ducks in a row and make a decision within 3 days. As I was signing we were still under the understanding I was still not fully committed because I still had to talk to clients and my partner about all of it. She did not clarify she wasn't implementing the 3 day return policy for the lesser sale amount of $3,400 after interest when I was signing. I called not even an hour later to express my decision that this was not going to be a good fit for me and I do not want the service. Then is when I was advised by a customer service rep that she had no authorization to offer a 3 day return policy because they have a no refund policy and that my sales rep should have never told me that she could offer that as an option in general. after opening a refund case my sales rep then called to harass me about changing my decision and I discussed with her that she was the one who told me there was a 3 day refund option because I still had to talk to people before committing and that's why I almost didn't sign until she offered this option to me. I cannot commit to this payment or service. they said the only way I can possibly get a refund is with a doctors note where I am physically not able to get the service, which I then stated I have a doctors note about my herniated disc that I have to afford to get taken care of, all they tried to offer was holding off charging until my disc is healed, but I just want the refund I was told that I had. I received Botox and had to do a follow up since the first service did not work. The follow up service did not work as well. Consulted with a licensed doctor who advised it was not performed properly. I received Ultherapy which so far has only left me swollen with constant jaw/cheek/neck soreness. The procedure was painful and at one point during it, the person had to stop and find someone else to consult with for the pain I was experiencing since no one ever had it before. I inquired into cool sculpting with this company prior to above treatments being performed and was told I could cancel my appointment if I changed my mind. I did end up canceling the cool sculpting appointments far enough ahead to not be considered a no show. I was NOT told I would still have to pay for services NOT rendered. They offered to credit me instead for other services which I said I was not interested in. I was contacted on 9/16/2022 by corporate for resolution on a recorded line where I explained I did not want the service nor any other service and only wanted a refund for the service I had not received. I used Ally lending to finance it and **** has also refused to investigate further but is already charging me interest and payments on this amount. I am only seeking a refund for services NOT performed even though the Botox and Ultherapy were considered botched by licensed doctors and the pain may never leave my cheek/jaw/neck. When speaking with corporate, I did not bring up the fact that other treatments were unsatisfactory. I will not be forced into medical services of any kind. I will also NOT pay for something never received. I did NOT sign that agreement. It is different from the first one I signed. My wife and I elected to have Ideal Image perform cosmetics procedures on us for an agreed upon price. However, they also enrolled us in an auto-renewal subscription service which we agreed to SOLELY because we were told by the company's sales representative at the point of sale that we would be notified prior to the subscription's renewal that it was about to renew so that we could decide if we wanted to continue the service or cancel. However, no notification was sent or received and we were charged a total of $500. I immediately was notified of the charges by my credit card and reached out for cancellation for a refund that same day. However, they refused to issue the full refund at first because they had a $20 cancellation fee. So they were only going to refund us $460 of our $500. This is clearly an example of predatory business practices where they know people are going to believe them when they're told that the company will notify them prior to the renewal and then when the customers forget about the subscription, they'll keep $40 for a bogus fee which is what they're banking on from the start.Business Response

It is an annual renewal process and without prior notice of requesting to cancel before the renewal takes place, the contract does state that there is a ***** fee for cancellation. In June 2022 I did a consult for services and was told my arms lower abdomen thighs could be treated with cool sculpting. I was advised to sign up for Ally lending so a treatmemt plan could be made. I did as told. I was given an appt for early August that was cancelled and rescheduled to August 24th. At the appointment, I was told that my main concern areas were untreatable and that the procedures would need more cycles and I probably wouldnt be happy with dents in my body. I agreed and the consultation/treatment was over. I walked out to the reception area was I was told that I would be refunded in 7 days. I have been calling the office for weeks now trying to speak to a ******* but she would never talk to me. I finally got someone else who told me that I could not be refunded since there were areas they could treat and that the technician charted heavily after my appointment the areas she could treat. I found this strange and felt like they were trying to force me to use their services although it will not give me an "ideal image". Ally the lender has told me that they can refund the money directly to them but they are choosing not to. I would like for them to refund ally because I do not want services for dishonest company such as theirs.Business Response

Ideal Image guests complete an in-person or virtual consultation with our Sales Consultants who recommend treatments based on our guests interests. After purchasing each guest then completes a health history questionnaire and is then assessed in clinic by a medical professional. Our sales consultants do the most accurate virtual consultation they can to get to the guest purchased for services before the guest is seen in person at the clinic level. Often the assessment can change once guest is seen in clinic. Guest is still able to treat lower abdomen, upper abdomen and flanks. Guest has purchased 10 cycles of CS and it was recommended that the guest use 8 cycles to lower abdomen and use remaining two cycles on upper abdomen or flanks. We have also offered guest a resolution inside the terms and conditions to have 2 additional cycles to treat both upper abdomen and flanks and guest declined offer. We stand behind our service agreement and the commitment it offers. We are happy to provide resolutions to resolve within the terms and conditions stated in the contract, but refund is not an option. All guest are provided their service agreement to review and sign prior to committing. Understanding your Service agreement means you understand our refund policy. I am rejecting this response because: at the time of the appointment. I was told by staff (technician and receptionist) that I would be able to get a refund since this wasnt the best option for me. The areas that were pointed out were not even my major areas of concern. When continuously reaching out to your office I was given the run arounds and communicatiom went lacking. After the education recieved on how my body would look I no longer feel safe about getting this procedure and forcing your services upon someone is unacceptable. I can understand if you would have told me I would have had to pay a consulation fee for that day but full amoumt for services that will not benefit me is truly unethical. Also due to lack of communication and and newly found distrust I would prefer not use your services. I still believe that a refund should be issued. I hope we can reach a better agreement.

I am rejecting this response because: I attempted to make contact with your company. *************************** reached out on 9/27 and requested a call back or email. I responded via email and have not recieved a response. I work 12 hour shifts and answering the phone is not always an option. I will be happy to converse with you via email as stated in the email sent over on 9/27. As previously stated, I no longer trust the companies professional judgement in providing me with safe quality care. Please provide me with a copy of the entire signed contract at *******************************************.
