Contacted American integrity to file a claim 9/29/2023. It is now 65 days later and no approval or denial. I keep being told a few more days. Being sent to authorization. It's a different excuse everytime. Unacceptable.Business Response

Hurricane *** September 28th filed report September 29th. I even had pictures of all my damage sent to desk adjuster that included roof. Sent images from roof inspection on October 2nd. October 11th field inspection. Then told over 2 weeks later needed engineer inspection of roof because *********** was fact known since day one yet month into now say need engineer. Keystone company that American integrity contracted to inspect. November 1st keystone inspection. Submitted report 11/10. Told by desk adjuster still waiting on report from engineer which was incorrect after speaking to Keystone. November 18th desk adjuster submitted report to administration. Still no word on claim status. Told website is never updated. Everyone I have spoken to in this company has only worked there since several weeks after hurricane. Today November 28 talked to a Quica in customer service also employed less than two months. Yawning during whole conversation. Indifferent. Cant even tell me if Im gonna be notified via email, phone or US postal service. No customer service. Every step of the way seems like one delay tactic after another. Company extremely unprepared for any amount of claims. Told by desk adjuster I dont need claim settlement in order to have work done. Im not sure how many people have $90,000 in their bank accounts to just get the work done. I certainly dont that is why I pay for insurance. Need new roof. $77,000 quote for roof and $17,000 for gutters, soffits and lanai. Those are just the big ticket items. More damage to pool and pool deck, failed refrigerator, landscape all outside lights. I am asking insurance to send check in amount expected in my policy minus deductible. This is a ridiculous amount of time to not have had any thing done by an insurance company.Many in this same situation with this company. According to our records, our adjuster spoke with you on Sunday, Dec. 4. The adjuster communicated that the covered portion of the claim did not exceed your policys hurricane deductible. The bee infestation is not hurricane-related and is specifically excluded from your policy. The pool cage enclosure is excluded as well because that endorsement is not included in your policy. Since 13 tiles of your roof were damaged, we will be replacing those.The tiles are available and the cost was confirmed with a local roofer.

I am aware that the pool cage is not included in my coverage. Please see the attached estimates for the soffit in the gutters that alone is significantly more than youve estimated by your field adjuster.
I have a great deal more than the tiles listed in this letter that are damaged as well as the underside of my roof. I was not allowed to have access to the engineers report, nor the field adjusters report, who by the way did not look at my roof, but took the pictures that I provided from my roofer.I have three separate quotes from roofers who also say my roof is beyond repair and needs to be replaced. My tiles are not in production and cannot be found per Florida law, This requires replacement of my roof. My policy does state that I am covered for a new roof.
if you would like to send an engineer, which I know you outsource with my roofer, he can point out the damage and the rationale why I should be covered for a new roof that the damage from the hurricane is beyond repair

We cant share the engineers report, however,the findings of the investigation were shared. The estimated damage did not exceed your policys hurricane deductible. The exact roof tiles are no longer in production, but they are still available. This is a report made by ******************************* who never stepped foot on my roof she didnt even bring a ladder and told me herself that she does not step on the roof. She took the photos that I provided from my roofer and thats it . She took my tile found a match of the tile style. I called All Point they dont have that color of tile but a similar tile that they can color match or paint.
again if you want to be upfront you share the Keystone engineers report. You also have an engineer come and meet my roofer and walk it. This is more than Surface damage.
this report also says nothing about the paver pool deck that is sinking clearly showed it to her she clearly took pictures I dont see where its excluded in my policy.******************************* in fact did not even know what my policy stated when she showed at my house . She included a pool cage which I clearly knew in my policy was not covered and bees which again clearly knew was not covered didnt even point that out to her.
my desk adjuster has answered my calls every time or returned calls. I have no complaints about this. I do however have issue with statements of these roofing companies are taking advantage of the situation.
Homeowners should not have to resort to hiring a public adjuster or lawyer to get insurance companies to do what our policies state and we have paid for.Sincerely,

Desk adjuster has significant hesitation was responding via email most likely because he doesnt want a paper trail. But has finally emailed me back and confirms what *** said all along. the vendor he state has my tile does not have my tile in fact its not the color of my roof but he is now added to the estimate the fact that they can color match my tile that is not an acceptable solution is not what my policy states is not what Florida law states either.
I have tried to reason in good faith with this company have asked that my roofer any roofer meet with an engineer go over the damage on my roof and not to estimate it from a field adjuster who never step foot on the roof. I have asked for a statement on the engineers findings they have not shared that because they know that would be damning for their case of not replacing my roof. I have gotten no response from either of those things therefore I am left with no other option but Ive hired a public adjuster.I am not alone in my concerns regarding this company. The state of Florida needs to do a much better job enforcing regulations on these companies

I have filed a hurricane related claim here are my issues 1- desk adjuster can never be reached- mailbox is full, never responds to emails 2- person they gave me for escalation never responds and lists non-working numbers on his voice mail as contacts- he never responds to texts 3- Adjuster they sent out made NO comments just walked around did not examine *******/other tree damage on my house or the lawnmower under the tree- he was there 10 whole minutes and left 4- Extremely lowball offer is listed in claim system telling ME to find someone in their network that would accept the $8600 that isn't even 1/3 of what my estimate is from just the roofing company alone 5- My agent says he is getting the same treatment and will consider additional action in 3 weeks if they don't respond to him. Regarding CHO-******** ****** We filed an insurance claim in October 2022 for roof damage to the property. After 30 days, ******************************* stalled on all communications, kept saying he was waiting for a report, and then called on 11/21/2022 to say the claim was denied. I believe the inspector's name is ******* and when he came out, did indeed find damage to the roof. We have a valid policy and the damage should be paid for. Forcing us to file another claim, refusing to provide a copy of the report, and delaying the process through the end of the policy period is simply fraudulent practice.Business Response

Our records indicate that the inspection found damage that was unrelated to the hurricane, but possibly caused by plumbing leak. The adjuster assigned a leak detection company to confirm the cause and origin of the water. **************** was informed that if the damage was determined to be wind-driven rain water from the roof (which had no openings), there would be no coverage, but further investigation is required to confirm whether that is the cause.

It has been 51 days since I file my claim with American integrity. I did not hear from the company for 4 days after I filed which went against *********. Then they would not allow m to utilize loss of use coverage until an adjuster came out. They could not get adjuster out for two weeks. I am rejecting this response because: My policy # AGH0408803 CLAIM # CHO-******** This insurance company is not cooperating in my claim. They sent me a letter that said I have a Actual cash value policy not a replacement cost policy which is 100% incorrect. They have only paid me for a small portion of my claim and will not even tell me what the check they just sent me is for or what they are paying on my claim. The measurements were all off of shed, fence, gutters and soffits. They have also not addressed my door damage which is causing moisture and humidity and water damage to interior of my home. The now after 7 desk adjuster will not return my calls. The desk adjuster stated he can not talk to me since I have spoke with an attorney. I have not retained an attorney yet therefore he must talk to me. My home is acquiring more damage and mold, my son is stuck in a medical group home because the insurance company is not cooperating in me getting this addressed. I had signed a mandatory mediation form and have asked for mediation several times and This company has avoided my every attempt. I will have no choice but to obtain an attorney if this does not resolve the matter.

We are insured through American Integrity for homeowners insurance, that includes flood. The entire inside of our home and everything in it was destroyed during Hurricane ***. We filed our claim the day after the hurricane and still are no closer to getting a settlement than the day we filed it. The desk adjuster has made one excuse after another, has sent, or tried to send out, people to the house to do the same thing the last person did who was out there and has given us incorrect information more than once. After emails she was encluded in, she told us she didn't know we needed water/mold remediation, she didn't know we needed housing and she didn't know we needed someone to come and cut down the trees that had blown into our yard. We ended up having to do the trees ourselves and finally got remediation and a place to stay for two weeks (while they are taking months to pay.) *********** now she told me my claim was forwarded up the chain and not one of those times did it go anywhere that benefited us and I question if it was ever done. We have contacted her supervisor, who only made excuses why we hadn't received a settlement...they are short staffed, don't have enough engineers and the list goes on. Twice now she has told us she has all the reports back but the first time, her supervisor told us they didn't have the engineer's report back; that it was what was holding things up. Today 11/16, she told us for the second time she had the engineer's report but it would be another **** days before we heard anything. She told me the engineer has to say how much was wind damage and how much was flood, yet they had a damage adjuster who came out and saw our entire house gutted and our belongings on the street covered in ************ (two *************** were damaged by wind, that is it.) We are at our **** end with this company since getting a settlement seems to be something that is never going to happen; meanwhile, we sit homeless.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I filed complaint ******** with the Better Business Bureau on 11/16/2022. On 11/18, we were advised by American Integrity, through BBB, that "Our Vice President of Claims is personally escalating your claim to ensure that your payment is expedited. Should you need anything else, please contact your adjuster." We foolishly agreed to this and now here we are on 11/25/22 and STILL cannot get an answer from American Integrity. They won't even tell us who the Vice President is or how to get in touch with him. As stated in our original claim, our adjuster is useless. Either she has no idea what she is doing or she is taking the blame for the incompetence of her superiors, either way, we are the ones being shoved aside and given zero information other than, "it has been escalated." That is what we are told every. single. time. we call! Today, her "supervisor", or supposedly that is who he is, told us our claim was back to the damage adjuster that it originally started with. We need answers not just words that mean nothing from these people. They are not the ones who don't have a home to live in and appear to be slow rolling the process for whatever reason. I have heard from others, in **********, who have already been paid for their claims and they filed after we did. They won't even tell us what WE can do to our house so we can make it liveable enough that we can move back in.

My home was hit and was completely destroyed from Hurricane ***. My house is gone, the garage is gone, my sea wall is gone, my entire in ground pool is gone. I filed my claim and was told that I would be contacted by a field adjuster to look at the property. I was never contacted. Then I was told via email that they now needed to send an engineer to the property. Because of this, I flew back to Florida for a period of 8 days to be able to meet with he engineer onsite. This kept getting pushed back and then I was told that they could not make it there while I was there, they assured me that they would call me while at my property to discuss it with me. I was never called. Today, I was simply called to say that they are covering nothing, not a *****, no discussion, just the answer saying that this was only caused by a flood. I know for a fact that the house came apart from the wind before the water was high. I have photos from a person who rode out the Hurricane across the street that took pictures and gave them to me. I have found the ceiling of my house and the entire roof trusses were removed from that. They have not asked for my statement, my evidence that I have found, they are simply relying on a person who stood in my driveway looked out and said that they know what happened. There is not one ounce of American Integrity with any of this. All of this and they leave it up to the Desk Adjuster to call me and say that my claim is closed and nothing is being paid out. By the way, my policy was for homeowners insurance, it also included hurricane insurance and it included coverage for ground erosion. This is why so many insurance companies in Florida are in litigation with their valued customers.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I am seeing in several other cases that American Integrity keeps telling people that they need to reach out the adjusters that were hired by American Integrity. This would be great if American Integrity wouldnt have their thumb on the adjusters to not share any information with the person who paid for the insurance policy. I have reached out to the desk adjustor and I have asked the desk adjust to send me the report used by the field adjuster and engineer to determine their conclusion. The field adjuster tells me that American Intengrity will not allow them to get me the report, share the report or any information contained in the report, nor will American Integrity get me the contact information or license information for the field adjuster and the engineer that were used. I have in my possession what I believe is concrete evidence that my entire roof blew off of my house before my lot flooded. I have shared with the field adjustor that I have some very pertaintent information about my house since I have been there a total of 11 days to talk with neighbors, find parts of my house and to gather this information all before things were moved from its original location. I was assured that the adjusters would communicate with me so that I could meet them on my lot to discuss the infiormation that I have. None of this happened as promised. I was then told that the engineer would give me a call to discuss it while they were on-site and this also never happened, nor did they call me once they were not on site. I am being completely being left in the dark on this and not one party is willing to show me anything other than their conclusion. And their conclusion was only a phone call from the desk adjustor saying that noting is being payed out, nothing is covered and he couldnt tell me why other than they concluded it was 100% caused by flood water. As I log in the the portal for American Ingegrity, my claim shows up as Closed. This is not closed, far from closed. I will not stand for this. My next steps are reporting this to the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation.

I am rejecting this response because: I was told that the field adjustor and the engineer would reach out to me so that I can pass along my photos, video and information from a person who rode out the Hurricane across the street. I have attempted to get this information to the adjustors and insurance company but no one from the adjusters to the insurance company or engineer will actually get back to me. I guess my next step will be what most people do is now hire an attorney.

I am rejecting this response because: I am still trying to get answers to my claim from Hurricane *** in Sept 2022. The company keeps giving me phone number after phone number and they are either no answers, full mailbox, dead line, or just a recording saying someone will return my call by end of business the next day. I am trying to find out if they have received my supplemental receipts for additional expenses such as tarps and tie downs. My claim is CHO ********* and I would like someone to at least assign me to a desk adjuster for help,. The one I was assigned to has left the company indefinitely. Thanks
