In March 2023 I purchased a Honda gas powered lawnmower. As I would be spending many hundreds of dollars on my purchase, I did a lot of research to ensure I was buying a great mower. A few months after buying the mower there was a recall to fix something and the nearest authorized service center was 30 minutes away. It was at this time I found out that Honda was no long manufacturing gas powered mowers.A few months later in November I received a notice for another recall. I took it to my local service center and they told me they no longer work on Honda mowers because it was costing them too much money.I contacted Honda to inquire what they were going to do about this. Obviously this is not something a multinational company decides overnight. This takes planning. And that is my issue. When I researched lawnmowers there was nothing on their website. When I went to the store there were no notices to potential customers. Honda knew it was pulling out of the gas powered lawnmower market and that it would cause a ripple effect. I informed Honda there werent any authorized service centers in my area. The rep informed me there was- over an hour away and thats one way. To Honda this was completely acceptable. The rep nor Honda doesnt seem to understand this is not the way to do business. They have an obligation to their customers to keep contracts with service centers in the geographical areas where they were selling mowers. The other solution the Honda rep gave me was to see if the service center thats 75 minutes away would agree to trade-in my Honda and allow me to purchase something else- which is a possibility. But I paid over $500 for the mower only 8 months ago. The service center is going to offer me pennies on the dollar of what I spent and I will lose a bunch of money. Furthermore, this is affecting every other customer in my area that also purchased a **************** gas mower. I have contacted my state and U.S. government representatives regarding this issue.

Bought a brand new Honda lawnmower on June 11,2023 and 4 months later used probably 6 times motor seized up. Took it to a Honda dealer to find out what happened as Honda has 5 year warranty upon determining it was lack of lubricants (oil) as they say but I have pictures of when mower blew up I have several pictures showing the oil that came out if it roughly 1 quart and the ground and in my driveway. Im being told they will not honor warranty on 4 month old lawn mower. Im out purchase price plus the cost of new motor($442.00) and Honda is not helping out anything other then to say its on you. I explained over and over to a guy named ****** that there was oil in it and I pictured to prove it of oil on ground after it blew up but he didnt wanna hear anything. He acted very arrogant and could care less. I have submitted pictures showing the oil on the ground that came out of lawnmower

Purchased a Honda HRX217HYA in late March of 2023 from an authorized Honda dealer not a big box store. The mower came with a stained deck which I did not notice until o had taken the mower home. I filed an email complaint but wish now that I had taken the mower back within 30 days. I the mower developed the known camshaft issue which resulted in an official product recall. The mower locked up and would not start. I returned the mower to the dealer who submitted a warranty claim. After researching the problem I requested that Honda refund me the purchase price of the HRX217HYA so that I could purchase the Honda commercial model HRC216HDA for approximately $500 more. I was and am willing to spend more to get a reliable Honda mower that worked. This request was denied. I was told that they would only repair the mower when they received the parts.Several weeks later I went to pick up the mower and the deck was still stained. I was told to take the mower home and they would call me when Honda sent a new deck.I bought it back for the new deck repair but the decals were not replaced. After the both repairs I used the mower once and the camshaft once again locked up. I returned to mower once again to the authorized dealer and asked again for a refund to purchase the higher priced commercial model. Honda once again denied the reasonable request. They would only repair the mower.I have been a loyal Honda automobile and mower owner for over 30+ years. 7 new cars and 3 mowers which is roughly $220,000 of Honda brand purchases. All that I am asking is that Honda refund me the purchase price of the mower so that I can purchase the higher priced commercial mower which works.I have worked in good faith with the dealer who has treated me well. I have spoken repeatedly with the Honda customer service representative who simply say the case is closed. The Honda Power Equipment dealer and my Honda Automotive dealer say there is nothing they can do.

Purchased a RYOBI **** power washer from HomeDepot on 05/07/23 for $543.23. After the 4th or 5th time using it the piston flew through the crankcase ( not even 40 days from the purchase date). I went back to the same ********** to exchange it. I was informed at the store that those (****psi) units were pulled from the shelves for a recall. Afterward, contacted ***** and they had me contact Honda who provided the engine. Honda referred me to their authorized repair shop ( ***************** Equipment ************* ********************************************************************************************** *************. A guy by the name of ***** was out contact. He told us in so many words, not to hold our breath, that he had seen Honda rarely ever warranty their products. Honda instructed him to disassemble the motor and send pictures. After several weeks and no word, my wife called and was informed that Honda would not warranty the unit. That the engine failure was due to lack of lubricant. I own some odd 20 motorcycles Some ******. Some for leisure, and some for show,. Most Ive rebuilt, customized and maintained myself. We own 2 boats, both I completely rebuilt myself. 2 riding mowers, several push mowers, several chain saws, weed eater, power leaf blowers and several trucks. All to say, Im very mechanically inclined and the lack of lubrication is absolutely ludicrous. I will, however, add that it worked well the few times we were able to use it I would like for Honda for replace/rebuild (and warranty) the unit or refund my money for it and the accessories we purchased for it

Bought a Honda Generator EU3200i / New,online from "Northern ******************************************************************************************************** Care ************ for ****************** on ***************** number EBKJ *******, I registered the **************** generator with Honda customer service.Verbally on a phone call.Received a three year warranty with Honda power equipment division. The generator was hard to start when it was first used & continuously hard to start. But always started. In May 2023.I had it running and then it stopped working, and could not get it started again. On 5/23/23 I took the generator too,***************** ***********************************************************************************,************ ***** -Service manager. The generator was checked, and I was told it overheated, and a lot of parts were destroyed. They ordered new parts from Honda and received some that were wrong parts. Meanwhile, I called Honda to report.Case # ********, I needed somebody to help me so the service center could have the right parts . I was told somebody will call me before two days Nobody at Honda got back to me. Meanwhile, i called ***** at the repair and he said they still weren't getting the proper parts. I called Honda again and asked for a service representative again to call me and nobody called me back after asking multiple times. Meanwhile, I needed that generator back because it's needed regarding a business, I have using it. Having many Honda generators over the years, I never had a problem. When they work they work. But I never had to deal with customer service from **************** before. Not having a good experience with them now. Every time I call ,the notes they take from the previous calls are literally nonexistent. Or at least the representative makes me repeat over and over again everything. Very frustrating. I want a replacement generator. That is what I'm asking for. This generator overheated, and I don't feel good with it because of so many replacement parts. It's unreliable with so much damage.

I purchased the Honda lawnmower HRX217 6 years ago and the sales person where I purchased said the plastics decks will not break and have a lifetime warranty. It also says on the box that the deck is impact resistant. The top of my lawnmower looks good and I went to change the oil and noticed a large piece of the deck was missing underneath. I called and spoke to customer service at **************** and they said it should be covered. I would just need to take into a service center for repair. I take it in, and told it shouldnt be an issue with it being covered under the lifetime warranty and was told my $40 deposit would be returned when the mower is picked up. I wait over a month so I call service they say havent heard anything. I call Honda they said they dont see any claims and would have it looked into. I then get a call from **** at Honda with customer service a week later stating they are not covering the warranty due to impact damage. I told him clearly states lifetime warranty and impact resistant. He said its limited warranty and they will not cover. ***** marketing is very deceiving and initial customer service could of said not covered because the deck is not impact proof. I now have wasted my time and money trying to get a lifetime warranty part repaired but denied because of 1 persons opinion at Honda customer service. Very disappointed because this mower is hardly used and paid nearly $800 for it.

The model lawn mower I have, HRR2169V*A MZCG, S/N *******, has been plagued with a well known problem of the wheels locking up when one tries to pull the mower backwards. I would like to know the minimum that is required to fix this problem. The only reference to the problem on the INTERNET is on an independent site, not associated with Honda, that refers to a service bulletin 107 with fuzzy, almost illegible instructions. It is also not clear if one goes to some parts site if the part is the new, correct one. The old bushing was apparently to small. My mower does not have the * between the 216 and the 9 and I am not certain the fuzzy instructions shown at the link are for it. *****************************************************************************************************************************. I have been unable to find this service bulletin online and the local Honda dealer knows nothing about it and would charge me an arm and a leg for finding it and fixing the problem. ******************************************************************************************************************************. I sent the same information to ************************************************************************************************ and got only a trivial response which was useless. They referred me to a dealer. It would seem as if American Honda Power Equipment Division would know something about their service bulletin 107. I do not want to spend money on parts and use up a lot of my time only to find I did not have the correct solution.
