    I was employed as a ***************** teacher at Atlanta Prep during the ******** school year. During that time, I observed repeated situations involving a student expressing serious mental health struggles, including verbal threats of self-harm. Despite raising these concerns multiple times with school leadership, I felt the response was insufficient to ensure the safety and well-being of both students and staff.I recommend that Atlanta Prep review its mental health support protocols and ensure adequate training and resources are available for educators working with vulnerable students. This feedback is shared in the spirit of promoting safer and more supportive educational environments.

    Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. At Atlanta Prep, the safety and well-being of our students and staff are our highest priority. We do have clear protocols in place for responding to mental health concerns, and in this specific case, appropriate actions were taken, including the eventual dismissal of the student after thorough review and in collaboration with relevant professionals and the students family.While we acknowledge your concerns, its important to note that you were not present for the full scope of how the situation was addressed. The situation was resolved shortly after you left our organization in January. We remain committed to supporting our staff and students and are continuously working to strengthen our practices, communication, and safety.We appreciate all feedback that helps us grow as an institution and serve our community better.
