    To Whom It May Concern,On 6/17/25, I contacted a dealer about purchasing a bed and mattress. I confirmed during a call that delivery and setup were included. On 6/18, I provided my ID, address, and proof of order. After receiving my info, the dealer called back and said he would cancel the order, falsely claiming I hadnt asked for setup. He then demanded a $75 setup fee, which was neither listed as a payment option nor disclosed prior. The website lists setup as "$60 and up" with no clear way to pay. When I questioned this, he stated he would cancel my order and did so minutes after obtaining my personal and banking info. This is a violation of Georgias Fair Business Practices Act (O.C.G.A. 10-1-390), which prohibits false advertising and hidden fees. I am reporting this for deceptive business practices, poor customer service, and misuse of my personal information.Misrepresentation of what the service included (delivery and setup)Collection of personal information and ID minutes before cancelling the order Requesting sensitive information including payment details, then not fulfilling the order Misleading information on the companys website regarding pricing and service offerings I believe this conduct is not only misleading but may also put customers at risk by soliciting personal and financial information without fulfilling the agreed-upon service. I am requesting the BBB to review this matter and hold the business accountable for these practices. under the Georgia Fair Business Practices Act (O.C.G.A. 10-1-390etseq.), it is illegal to advertise a price or service and then add undisclosed fees or conditionsthats considered an unfair or deceptive act- ******************** Canceling the order unilaterally, especially after collecting personal and sensitive payment information, can amount to deceptive practice, particularly if the cancellation results from them suddenly applying a fee that wasnt communicated early on.

    The customer’s order was canceled due to a disagreement regarding installation charges.

    We informed the customer of a $75 bed installation fee. The customer stated this charge was not visible on the website. I directed her to the installation page and provided a copy showing installation fees start at $60.

     

    The installation for the bed that was purchased was $75. The installation would have taken a little longer. That was the reason for the difference.


    After further discussion, I decided it was best to cancel the delivery and installation.

    I am rejecting this response as I did not disagree at all with what you stated, you called me and explained that you would be canceling the order because it would be best for you. I asked a question regarding the charge and you explained that you did not want to answer any more questions. Further, these charges were not provided upfront. I explained on multiple occasions that I did not mind paying at all. You failed to communicate properly all of the details and when I had questions you were quite frustrated. Further, you seem to have canceled my order directly after I provided my personal information which was my most significant concern.
