  This company appears to specialize in billing insurance and using media platforms to attract physicians, case managers, and discharge planners. Unfortunately, patient care does not seem to be their priority. As a result, your loved ones may experience neglect and inadequate care from this company.

  Never use these people!. Nurses are so rude. Never supplied us with anything. I had to supply pads, diapers, etc... the only thing they showed up for...was a signature. Others warned me but I said no one could be this bad.... they are! Also the one bathing my father-in-law was extremely rude to me and to him.

  Our father was receiving ************ for a few weeks. Then all of a sudden, without any warning at all, they just dropped him, without even having the decency to call us and let us know! So evil and disgusting. Please avoid Amedisys like the plague. Apparently all they care about is money!!

  My mama (dementia) has Amedysis in ****** while she is in a nursing facility. They have been amazing and she loves each person who bathes & nurses (by listening & adjusting medication) her. They have helped me navigate not only her care but teaching me the difference between all care available to her. Currently they are assisting me so that Im able to move my mom back to the ****** area. WE would be lost without them.I couldnt believe some of these reviews so wanted to share my GREAT experience too.

  Amedisys is more about the corporate end and not about the patients. Clinicians do great with the patients but in ********** ****************** the director is the least empathetic RN I have come across and is so bipolar you never know what she wants you to do. Doesnt really matter as she will go in and do your job after you worked all day in office to do what you are trained to do. The director also does not listen or when she does her own thing and it was not something she should have done acts as if she didnt do it and blame someone else. She takes no ownership and never sees her flaws to fix them so she can run a great office.

  Pathetic hospice. My grandfather had not had a bowel movement in TEN days, when I alerted the nurses, the only think I was told was to give him milk of magnesia, which did not work. He had belly pain and blnaseau . He had a catheter, which leaked for THREE days , and each nurse who came out gave a different reason. It was not until the Fourth day. Nurse decided to change it. THREE DAYS OF HAVING URINE SOAK 3 PRESSURE UKCERS HE HAD.. Not 1 nurse offer to change his wounds when they were told of urine leakage. Supplies....we were never given enough for his wounds, which he has 3 of. We were given 12 bandage for 3 pressure users a sweet! Each wound is suppose to be chaged both daily and PRN! We had enough bandages to last 4 days!. Also. Wound cleaner...vashe had been prescribed. But this hospuce told me they didn't 9rovude Vashe. When I called abd spoke to the director, *******, she offered excuse after excuse and BS. Today we ended up taking him out of Hospuce to go to the *** where xrats showed he was compacted, which is why his belly hurt and he was nauseated. All 3 of his wounds are infected. ***. ER Dr. ********* we do not go back to this agency because they are not fulfilling their job

  My mom was a year and 4 months in amedisys hospice . As my mom health was steady she was discharged and I was told Amedisys Hospice in ************* , ** will hold my hand in transferring to a home care service. I have been calling since the day they told me they were discharging her which was July 31 asking for help and nothing. The day of discharge was last Friday August 16 and by then I had to find a new home care agency, a new health equipment company , call old company to come and pick up bed, oxigen etc . I did it all on my own as Amedysis doctor was on vacation so staff could not help me. Well if that is the was they treat patients I will not recommend Amedydis to anybody . This is a big company , public trade company where investors are buying stock. Well they lost me as a patient/customer and I wonder how many more? Publicly trade investors is this where you want to put your money?

  The worst service and professionalism of any home medical company. The nurses were rude, incompetent and medically negligent. They never called to make appointments and did not show up to appointments they scheduled after we tracked them down. The nurse one time was 3 hours late to an appointment and did not communicate that to the family at all. Another time the nurse just straight up did not show up. When we called the director to complain, she also had no response for these blatant disregard of medical care and professionalism and did not call back when she said she would. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

  No communication and no one has showed up after the initial evaluation. We called and they said someone will be calling on Friday to set up a time to come on Saturday. This is Monday a little over 2 weeks at home and have not heard a word. Would not recommend this company for anything.

  My husband just was released from the hospital after stroke. Amedysis was assigned to provide PT help. However, we received a message from physical therapist that roads were more flooded than he expected and he is not coming. I was driving all morning and I did not see any flooded streets. If summer rain prevented health care what we can expect? I believe East ****** hospital chose a wrong home care company.
