      Our location in **********, ** is miserably failing my aunt. The therapists themselves are caring and concerned. But before I brought my aunt home, her insurance company verified she would receive a certain number of hours and services per week with no limits on how long. They have dropped some services for lack of progress, so I understand. However, they didnt even do me the courtesy of telling me PT was discharging herjust left us waiting around for them to come! When I called the office, they led me to believe someone would still be coming. Her bath aide has not shown up in two weeks. The first day, the aide herself texted and told me she was sick. After that, no one has called, texted, or let me know when she will be back, other than saying she would come last Thursday but never showed. I have called the office repeatedly asking what, if any, services we will be receiving, with no straight answer! My aunt has been sick since last Thursday. No nurse visit, even though the robo-call machine asks if we are experiencing worsening symptoms that make us wonder whether we should go to the *** I have answered YES every time and indicated we need a nurse. No call back yet and the robo-call has called several times since last week. I am so done with this place. I am the nursing supervisor of a hospital and my aunt is getting NOTHING from this company. *** received only one billing statement and it included two bath aide visits when she only had one that week. Thats why the government fined them I guess ??. Please dont do your loved-one the disservice of using this disorganized, uncaring company!!

      My wife was recently released from a nursing/rehab facility and they recommended Amedisys for in-home occupational and physical therapy. We had barely left the facility when Amedisys started calling. Their calls were more like telemarketers than someone concerned about a persons health care. On their last call I lost it and havent heard back. Also, several years ago they were fined $150 million by the ********** of ******* for filing false ******** claims. My wife is recovering nicely at home without their help. Avoid at all costs.

      I had trimalleolar fracture of my ankle in Manhattan 3 months ago, and came home. Amedisys ********** sent physical therapists and occupational therapists and nurses right away, and they have been totally amazing. They are so caring, friendly and compassionate. They also challenge you gently and encourage you. I had to use the 24/7 on call nurses too, and they were just as caring and amazing. One of them stayed on with me as I was dealing with high blood pressure spikes for the whole evening, calling me every hour to check in!As I get ready to be discharged, I want to thank these wonderful health care workers for their hard work and caring service to us who need them so much! Mino
