Received parking notice when server for company was not working. The server for PayByPhone for *************** on the evening of 4 December 2022 was not working. My cell phone had service and wi-fi was working, but the app did not work. I made several attempts to apply required code for 2-hour free parking. The server for the app was not working. This was confirmed with employee of company that issued the parking notice. An appeal was denied. Two other emails were sent directly to the company at ********************************************************* *********** has not responded. Most of the cars in the garage also got notices.Business Response

Appeal filed online on 12/4/22 responded to 12/5/22Customer Answer

Complaint: 18568360
I am rejecting this response because: we are not talking about online. We are talking about the emails sent to your company on 12/6 and 12/9. Your company offers online option to appeal the notice. Your company did respond on 12/5; however, I called your office at ************** and was told that I could request again for the appeal by emailing your company which I did on 12/6 and again on 12/9.Since your company received this complaint, you have provided an initial response to one of my emails. However, it does not make sense. For you are denying the fact that your employee also confirmed that the server was down. In addition, that code was for two hours of free parking. I was not even there for two hours. The screen prints of my arrival and my departure was included in my original appeal of 12/4.
Sincerely,

On November 19, I parked in a parking garage in which I used a parking app and paid for parking. This week I received a letter in the mail claiming that I owed them $85 but they would bump it down to $45 if I paid within 30 days. My issue with this is that I already paid. And I have very good credit and I do not want this going on my credit report because they have inaccurate information. This is a scam and I really need them acknowledge that I do not owe them for parking.Business Response

This company is claiming I parked at their location at **************************************************************** on 05/27/2022 and 06/03/2022. I was not parked at this location on either date, and this is not my debt. In addition to this fact, they are attempting to charge 85 dollars per each occurence which is highly outrageous. I drove to the location, and the parking there is $5 dollars for an hour. Even if I was parked there, charging $85 dollars to park should be illegal and highly punitive. There is also no indication that photo surveillance is in place, and there is no indication that you can be charged $85 dollars to park there. So overall, this is an illegal scheme to defraud consumers of their hard earned money. I would like to file a complaint against them for these reasons.Note: The notice numbers for the bills are: *********** for 05/27/2022, and *********** for 6/10/2022.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:The business did not respond! They only indicated that they do not respond to Third Party inquiries. They did not respond to the complaint in any waywhich is no response. This is indicative of how they are as a company. They are impossible to contact and totally unresponsive! I ask that the BBB give them a negative review.

I went to visit a friend who lives in ******* and I parked in the lot across the street as I have done several times. The next day I had a ticket waiting for the amount of $55. There were no signs when entering the lot and when I went to appeal the ticket and provide evidence it was declined. When I then went to pay it it had gone up to $90. I then went back a few days later and a new sign had been posted that now labeled it as a pay for parking lot and when I argued that clearly someone heard my complaint for lack of signs so my money should be refunded and I am continually denied. I just want my $90 back. I now know I just pay and am not disputing that but at the time I was there, no signs were visible.Business Response

Hi,I am resident at *****************, *******. The address of the property is *********************************************************. I got a parking ticket from Professional Parking Management on August/19/2022. I work from 8am to 6pm and I have gone to my apartment management to provide me with the parking permit but 2 times they were not in the office that day and i tried calling them and there was no response. I pay for the parking included in my rent and its my right to park there. Its definitely not my fault if there is no response from the management. I finally got the parking permit sticker but now I got the parking charge notice from Professional Parking Management. Please help me with this becuase it is horrendously unfair.Business Response

Professional Parking Management sent me a parking ticket that I owe them $67 and then 115 if I do not pay within 15 days. The parking lot has no signs about paying for parking no indication that you need to pay for parking at all. I parked in this lot to use the charging station to charge my car. When I returned there was no ticket on my car nor any sign to pay for parking. I have calling them all day trying to talk to someone to get an explanation of this ticket and no success yet on speaking to a person. How can they ticket someone without any sign of requiring people to pay for parking and then not respond or even offer the ability to dispute this charge. The ticket states you can dispute on the website, but the website only shows information to pay. Because all they want is you to fall for their scam and pay. I am not paying until someone can explain this charge to me. This company is a scam and does not accurately make consumers aware with appropriate signs to pay for parking.Business Response

On 8/4/22, I parked in a parking lot that I have parked in for probably 30 years for FREE. There were no signs that I could see indicating that I needed to pay for parking in this lot. I returned to a parking ticket for $45 on my windshield. I don't know what the original cost of parking in this lot would have been. $5, $10, $20??? Who knows? I certainly would not have paid that much to park in this lot. If I had ********** indicating I had to pay for parking, I probably would have parked elsewhere. I did not appeal the ticket within the 15 day window indicated on the ticket because LIFE and now I owe them $85 according to the delinquency letters they are now sending me. This does not seem legitimate or legal. I went to the website attempting to file an appeal but they will not accept my appeal because the 15 day window of appeals has expired. I am willing to pay the orignal amount of the cost to park in this lot but do not feel that $45 - $85 is reasonable.Business Response

11/04/2022 my wife and I went to dinner downtown *************, parked in a handycapped spot with plackard on mirror and clearly visable through windshield, only markings in and near the handycapped spots were reserved parking and van accessible, nothing to indicate a parking fee , The letter states terms and conditions of the parking contract are clearly displayed, thats not true I went back and didnt see any signage in or around the handycapped parking area to indicate a parking fee, I request a total refund of the $48.15 and that this company either post signs in each parking space or install parking meters as this will make it clear to all persons parking not just some, I also noticed that their camara only takes a picture of the rear of the car, why not also the front ?I also took pictures of the signage in the handycapped area if neededBusiness Response

On October 22, 2022, I was parked at *******************************************************************. The garage was attached to the venue I visited (e.g. **********). When entering the garage, there was no parking attendant, no automatic entry gate, no visible parking pay stations, no parking price rates adequately displayed, and nothing displayed on the actual parking spots. Needless to say, when I received a failure to pay parking notice in the mail, I was surprised. I was surprised to the extent that I thought I was getting scammed. Given the lack of parking signage in this garage, Im sure I wasnt the only person that has encountered these issues. This parking company seems to be purposely deceiving the public, in order to levy these heavy fines, which possibly benefits them more financially than, if they were to properly place parking signage all over there garage, so that customers could pay accordingly.Business Response

In trying to frequent a restaurant at *************************** recently, there are few options for parking. I saw a parking garage adjacent to where I wanted to go and entered. There was no barrier or ticket dispenser nor any signage as to cost or anything else. Therefore one could only assume it was free. I have just received a demand notice from "Professional Parking Management" saying that I owe $85 but if I pay immediately it will be reduced to $45. This is a total scam and as there is nothing posted to give any indication that you have to pay or is the cost absolutely ridiculous for less than 2 hours parking. They take a photo of the number plate which is how they traced me. Is there anything that can be done about this outrageous business practice???Business Response
