Towing Company Towed my vehicle and completely damaged the Drive Shaft underneath my vehicle. I had to take Drive Shaft off and send it to a Drive Shaft repair shop which costs me $400 to repair. I have all the receipts of repair. The repair shop told me that it was 100% the towing places fault that towed my vehicle which was Hensens Towing. After calling ******* Towing I spoke a very rude and up apologetic manager that denied damaging my vehicle. I told him that the Drive Shaft Repair Shop had told me that the Drive Shaft was damaged when the vehicle was loaded onto and off the tow truck. The manager of ******* Towing would not cover my damages as they know it is 100% their fault. Most Towing companies know to remove the Drive Shaft off the vehicle before loading onto the tow truck. That is standard procedures in Towing a 16 Foot Penske Box Truck. This is my complaint in order to receive a refund on the tow or $400 for my Drive Shaft Repair which I do have the receipt for. I am writing the BBB because this towing company probably is damaging customers vehicles on a daily business as they are not following standard towing guidelines. This business needs to be shut down so they can NOT damage other customers vehicles. Thanks.

    Business Response

We were dispatched by the ********************************* to a call of a disabled vehicle.  When my driver arrived he was told by the driver of the vehicle (whom supposedly rented the truck) that he was going down the road and heard a loud noise come from under the truck and it just quit moving.  When the vehicle owner called and spoke with my manager, he said we broke the drive shaft, my manager then said, is that not what was wrong when we towed the vehicle, he then responded no, it was the rear end.  My manager then told him the rear end is connected to the drive shaft and while in motion it could have very well broken the drive shaft also.  Keep in mind we were just told there was a loud noise underneath the vehicle while traveling down the road, so there could be lots of things affected when a rear end goes out traveling down the road.   We then loaded the vehicle on a flatbed wrecker, it was not towed with a sling truck.  When towing with a sling truck it is necessary to remove the drive shaft, but that was not the case with this truck.  The vehicle was brought to our impound lot and unloaded.  The vehicle was then picked up by ******** Wrecker Service.  I assume they towed it to the repair shop.  I do not believe we damaged the drive shaft.  We were also not the only towing company to tow the truck.  ******* also loaded it on a flatbed.

******* Towing 100% damaged my drive shaft as when it was on their lot I inspected my truck underneath.  The drive shaft was bent due to NOT removing the driveshaft when it was towed.  ******* Towed my box truck and suppose to take off the drive shaft before towing.  The drive shaft repair shop investigated the damage and told me 100 Percent the damage was done from ******* Towing.  The drive shaft repair was $400 and I am not even asking for that.  Instead I want ******* Towing to be liable for the damage as they 100 Percent damaged the drive shaft.  I want ******* Towing to be a responsible for the date and just refund atleast the tow amount that they billed me as I should not had to pay that tow bill due to the damage that they caused.  Please do what's right as a respectfull business and refund my Towing Bill.
